"Stik?" Beth responds, popping into the doorway.
"Whats up?" I asked.
"Just coming to check up on you..." she said in a slight whisper with a smile.
"Oh..."
"You okay Stik? Really..." She always asked people if they were okay or not. Sometimes I think she's just a little bit too selfless to others...
"..."
"Stik?"
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm good. You hungry? I could order something..." Maybe she'll just leave it alone
"Stik..."
"What? Im just trying to enlighten the mood." I'd say teasingly. Although I don't feel good, I try to hide it, even though Beth can always see through my fake smiles...
"Please? Let's talk about it."
"Trust me, you don't want to talk about it." I had to remind her about what had happened that day...
"Oh...it's about...?"
"Yeah..."
"Sorry..."
We just stood in silence for about 12 minutes...then I heard her say...
"It's not your fault Stik. You know that."
"I never said that..." Even though I thought so...
I then stood up and asked her... "I think you should go back home Beth...please?"
"Stik-"
I gave her a hug before I waved and closed my bedroom door.
The voices are coming back...
"ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL YØÜR FÅÛLT ĪTŠ ĄLL—"
I block out the voices so I can finally sleep after 3 days of no sleep.
