Review# 131
Cry Wolf by: PoisonAshes

First off I want to say that I liked the cover of the book and it really drew me in before I began reading it. It had that mysterious vibe to it.
But, I do have a few grips with the book that I want to talk about in this review. One being how the paragraphs were written. The paragraphs were hard to read and it was difficult to tell on who was talking and the setting/actions within the book were since the paragraphs themselves were like walls of texts. Which again make it very hard to read and I didn't really know on what was happening since everything was in big walls of texts which in turn made it very confusing right off the bat.
Another thing I wanna talk about is the background of the main character and the magic system of the world itself since it comes into play from page 1 and onwards. The magic system I thought was confusing and was really hard to understand because everything was in walls of text and nothing was really explained very well to where I couldn't really grasp some sort of understanding of the magic system and the world itself which also made me very confused on who or what everyone was in the book. The background of the main character I liked for the fact that it was mysterious but I also didn't like how I felt so detached from her and couldn't really empathize with her after the loss of her brother and what she went through or what she will face later in the book. I felt like we could have gotten more of her brother in the book rather than one chapter because it felt like we didn't know her brother all too well before he died since he was only in one chapter to begin with. Now if he had more of an appearance within the book, we would have gotten to know him and had his relationship with his sister expanded upon, making his death more meaningful than just a few lines and a bit of backstory. Plus, I wish we got a bit more why the main character couldn't trust demons and why she had to keep her brother away from them to begin with. Which I wished was explained a bit better.
Plus, I didn't see too many grammar errors in the book as well.
Overall, It's a decent book and would recommend it to anyone who loves reading books like it.
Thanks for letting me review your book.
