Chapter 14: Paint me in Blue

A roar comes from behind us. I- I look back to see a hideous beast of unknown name to me. It seemed to have a ratlike head with one bloodshot eye, a light blue body that sustained two very dangerous arm-legs! (I couldn't tell which.) Each arm-leg weilding in its skin 3 horns coming from the arm-legs flanges. And to top it all off, a Scorpion tail to boot. None of us said a word. The beast stared right at me. I was about to spontaniously combust. Such an ugly beast should never live on Paige. "(Emylia, splash him with your water element!)" Shaw said in a joking manner in literally the worst time! I think he was suffering after effects from his last battle. "(That is a Bau, is it not?)" Jayce whispered to Emylia. "(Indeed to our bad luck it is. It is far too dangerous in our current state to defeat him the blunt way. There is only one other aproach to do so.)" Shaw responds, "(What is it then?)" "(Song.)" I look to Emylia in disbelief. "(Song!?)" "Shhhhh!" Jayce interrupts. "Run!!!" A bandit yelps from behind! A sudden blur goes past me. I later realize it was the Bau as I hear the crunch of the coward in its maw, but I nor my comrads dare turn around to look. "Oooooh!" NO... JAYCE NOT... THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Paint me in Blue! Oh sovern a tune! Praise to navy oh whence you came!" Emylia starts along with him after the crunch stops. "Paint me in Blue! Oh! Give me a tune! Show me a time that is divine!" Shaw now even starts. My face is turning red over intoleration. "Oh! Paint me in Blue! For no other color will do!" Oh no! I feel my innards giving up on me. I'm sorry sirens of good taste, but I must sing! "Oh! Paint me in Blue! Oh! Show yea Da Vlue!" This is the worst theme song for a famous fisherman ever! "Oh! Paint me in Blue! Oh sovern a tune! Praise to navy oh whence you came! Oh! Paint me in Blue! Oh! Give me a tune! Show me a time that is divine! Oh! Paint me in Blue! For no other color will do! Oh! Paint me in Blue! Oh! Show yea Da Vlue! Ooooh! Paint me in Vlue!" Am... am I dieing? No... not this way. I can't die singing for a dead fisherman! "Wait!" Jayce interrupted. "I think it's gone!" He slowly turns around. I see him through the window of the caravan. His jaw drops. I then turn, Emylia and Shaw following afterwards. I look at the empty road. Blood trale smearing into the same thick the Sling ran into. I look at the tracks. They aren't fresh!!! "He's been gone for at least 5 minutes!" I throw my sheild to the ground and continue to stomp on it to get all the savage out. "I sung that stupid song for nothing!!!" "Calm down. Its not that bad." Shaw says to me in mistake. "LIAR!!!" I say in a demonic voice as my body envelopes in literal flame. Did I mention I am a fire adept? I raise my sword to the heavens and start chasing Shaw around the chariot at great speed. But since he is a wind adept, he luckily has the speed advantage. "Come back here!" Jayce puts his tree trunk of an arm in front of me and stops me full force after growing bored of seeing his teammates running around the Caravan like hoodlums. Dang earth adepts and thier super strength! I thought I was going to vomit from the backlash! "It's almost sundown and the Budds need a safe place to sleep for the morrow. They also need an Energi well." As heard we listen, Emylia going in the same spot as last time. "Jayce, you drive for awhile." Shaw follows after, sitting in my spot. Jerk! I walk to the wagon and go into Jayces spot. "Can you hand me that helm?" Shaw without reponding hands it to me. Its kind of strange to be looking through the back opening. Now my left and right are mixed. I look through, dark white trees now looking gray. The further back through the road I look the darker it looks, eventually becoming nothing. The sky currently is a beautifle orange, only to be touched by the ancients. Still to my lef- I mean right is the beauty of an open plain. This is probably the best sundown we've had in a long time! "Your majesty, why do you carry that little shine in your helm?" Shaw asks out of knowhere. "Oh! Paint me i-" "Oh! Shut up Hint!" I yell at the contents of my helm. Hammer arming it to quiet down. "Shaw. That's a good question."
