Diary - Part 2 - Fili x Reader
(Y/n) stormed out of the Mountain, doing her best to avoid the guards on the gates as she passed. She was in no mood to deal with any dwarf at that moment, no matter whom he might be. She needed to breathe, she needed air. She needed to calm down.
In truth, this was not anger. Well, maybe a little of it was, she believing that Fili had no right to go behind her back and look through her diary like that, even if he was the heir to the throne........and there it was......he was the heir to the throne; and this annoyance was more out of embarrassment than anything else. For inside that diary had been written all her feelings; the feelings that she believed she could never admit to, because he was a prince and she, a lowly guard. Words that spoke of her feelings for Fili, of how she had always loved him. Yet she knew that Thorin and Dis would want the dwarf that was to be the next king, to be with a dam that was a lady. And even though her family had been close to the Durin's for many generations; even though (Y/n)'s father had been an advisor to King Thrór, and her mother had actually helped Dis with the birth of both Fili and Kili, that didn't mean that she had royal blood. She was just a simple dam that King Thorin had allowed to a soldier; she quite the oddity given the beliefs of male dwarves; that as females were far fewer than males, dams should be protected, not sent off to fight. And that was perhaps another reason she would never be allowed to be more to the older prince than a friend; she had been taught to be a warrior not a queen. And despite the fact that she had learnt much about aiding and advising a monarch from her father before he passed; that didn't change anything. For what dwarf would want to listen to her about how to run a kingdom.
Finally, she stopped on the plains in front of the Mountain, sitting down and looking out over the still barren expanse where the Battle of the Five Armies had occurred. She was not one prone to tears; but at this moment she could feel her cheeks were wet. The tears clouding her vision as she pulled the diary from the pocket of her breeches. Wiping her eyes with the back of her sleeve before she opened it to a random page; everything she had written speaking of her love for Fili, of emotions that she could not express and never share. Though if Fili had seen them, if he had read even one page properly, he would now know. He would know that she had always dreamed of being more than just a friend. (Y/n) hating to think of what the princess.....what the king would say if Fili were to tell them. She would surely lose her position as the king's guard alongside Master Dwalin and may even be sent away from the Mountain..........no, no, Dis and Thorin were not like that. They would never do that. But no matter how much she tried to tell herself she was being foolish; it was only the worst thoughts that filled her mind. The dam shouting at the sky in frustration and humiliation, before beginning to tear the pages from the diary and letting the wind take them from her. Her emotions, feelings and love flying away on the stiff breeze that was whipping across the plain. (Y/n) throwing what was left of the dairy, to her side, before falling to her back and just looking up at the darkening sky. The young dam deciding to stay there until the sky had turned black, and hope that she could sneak back to her rooms, without anyone; especially any of the royals, or the sons of Fundin, seeing her.

Kili and Fili made their way from their uncle's rooms. The pale-haired prince having confessed what he had done to Thorin and his mother; it obvious that neither of them were too pleased with his actions. Yet when he had told them why he had done what he had done; that it was because he loved (Y/n) and always had. That he believed, no, he knew that she was his one and he did not want to ever be with another dam; things had seemed to change. Dis wanting to know if he was sure, and whether he knew if (Y/n) felt the same. Their uncle and mother talking quietly between themselves; both making furtive glanced at Fili, before telling him that everything would be taken care of. Yet when Thorin had sent for his guard, no one seemed to know where she might have got to. Fili now worried that his betrayal of her trust had made her do something, like run away.
"Don't worry Fee. (Y/n) wouldn't leave the Mountain and she could never stay mad at you for long. Even when you put that toad down the back of her dress or filled her favourite pair of boots with frog spawn, she only stopped talking to you for an afternoon. Maybe she just needed some air, and perhaps you do too. So, let's get you to the ramparts and maybe you will be able to think a little clearer....." Fili nodding at his younger brother's suggestion. The pair winding their way to the opening of the Mountain and looking out towards Dale. Out over where Thranduil and Bard had sat atop their mounts with the army of elves at their backs. The man holding in his hand the Arkenstone that Bilbo had given him, not long before the battle had begun; Fili closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. The prince praying to Mahal that (Y/n) was alright, that she would forgive him, and that he might find out that she loved him too. Fili suddenly hit in the face by something; he quickly grabbing at it, to discover that it was a page of parchment. A page covered in writing that he recognised. His eyes widening, as he read the first few words at the top of the page.
"Fili is my One, I know it..............."
