Chapter Six, Double the Hogwarts Letters, Double the Fun

~ November 11th 1981, Potter Manor ~

The next day as twelve in the afternoon was quickly approaching Mia could be found flitting through the formal dining room making sure everything was tidy and there was a tray of freshly baked cookies and biscuits with a tea pot of piping hot tea, and a pot of coffee under a constant warming charm with several cups and saucers, a bowl of sugar, a large mug milk under a cooling charm to keep it fresh, several spoons and a jar of honey. Around the room were vases of beautiful flowers cut fresh from the garden by Dorea that morning, the sweet aroma adding to the atmosphere of the freshly aired room.

"Perfect." Mia smiled to herself and just in time as she felt the wards to the Floo Network in her office flare meaning Arcturus and Melania, Cassiopeia, her brother Jabari - as the Potter solicitor and lawyer, and Andromeda as the Black solicitor and lawyer had arrived. Sirius, Petunia and Regulus had taken Freyr and Laufey to Malfoy Manor to have a play date with Draco and would be joined by Blaise and Neville so his grandparents could visit Alice and Frank. Caoimhe and Ármann had a late shift at the hospital nearby after transferring from the hospital in Wales when they moved into Potter Manor. She didn't have to worry too much as Dorea and Charlus were waiting to greet the family while Monty was waiting in his office for Lord Esposito to arrive.

Not a moment after she had greeted the family and served them all either tea or coffee she felt the wards flare again meaning Lord Esposito had arrived and been greeted by her husband. "Bobby, could you bring the folder from the safe, please." Mia requested. "Thank you." She said graciously as the folder appeared on the end table beside the loveseat she was sitting on that she would share with her husband once he arrived with Lord Jamal Esposito. "Lord Esposito, thank you for agreeing to this meeting." She said graciously, standing to greet the Lord as he entered the formal seating room with Monty.

"The pleasure is all mine Lady Potter." Lord Esposito greeted. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you and please call me Jamal."
"Would you like something to drink?" Mia asked her guest.
"Black coffee please. As I understand it, you have some evidence that will help with the case against Albus Dumbledore." Jamal stated, asking the room at large as he took the seat Mia showed him to. "Thank you." He accepted the cup and took a hearty sip of the hot beverage letting out a satisfied sigh.

"Yes. We have a folder here with all the information." Mia confirmed, handing over the folder that had all of the information with results from Hibernia Magnus Memor Hospital showing the curses Dumbledore had used on Bellatrix, Barty Crouch Jr and Rabastan as well as notes from Cassiopeia and Head Healer Morag.

There were also results from Gringotts showing what had been done to Laufey, Sirius, Lucius and Narcissa. Plus showing how he had thrown Sirius unlawfully into Azkaban as Dumbledore had known that Pettigrew was the Secret Keeper and that he knew Pettigrew was a spy for the Dark side but did nothing about it but pit Sirius, James, Regulus and Remus against each other but most especially Regulus all because he was a Slytherin and nothing more. In the folder from Gringotts there were forms to show and prove the negligence, Inheritance Theft (Sirius's imprisonment due to lying over who was Secret Keeper, as well as trying to take Laufey away from the Potters claiming nonsense about Blood Wards despite Laufey living with Petunia, Sirius and the elder Potters), along with embezzlement.

Finally, the last thing in the folder were reports from Remus from his time with the Luna Pack where he was ordered by Dumbledore to infiltrate the pack, detailing their extremely poor living conditions due to Umbridge (the laws she was passing and trying to pass), and Dumbledore (promising to fix things but never actually doing so) and the fact it was becoming increasingly more difficult to live and work if you were a werewolf. There were even statements from the Alpha of the pack where he promised to show his memories to back up his claims but in the statement he says he saw Dumbledore ordering the angriest of the young wolves to attack other Wixens, so it looked like Greyback was at fault.

After reading through the very extensive and unsettling forms Jamal was left speechless at what has been happening beneath everyone's noses. He never trusted or believed anything the man said and was among the minority of the I.C.W sadly and he knew he would have his work cut out for him and others but he knew they would join him and they would do all they could to oust Dumbledore and is ilk from all positions of power within the Wizarding world's government, starting with Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he knew important classes and holidays celebrating Mother Magic had been abolished when Albus became Headmaster.

"I am quite frankly horrified by what I've just learned and have the feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg of his crimes." Jamal brought his hand down his face in clear distress and anger.
"All I can say is I apologise for all that has been done to you and your family, and I swear upon my magic that I will do my all to make sure he pays for his crimes against you and yours and you all get the justice you so rightly deserve." Jamal promised, drawing his wand as he held true to his word and swore on his magic, the light above his wand shining gold as Mother Magic had accepted and held him to his promise. 'Dumbledore your days are numbered.' Was the thought that rang through everyone's minds as smiles crept onto their faces.

Chapter Six, Double the Hogwarts Letters, Double the Fun

~ June 10th 1991, Potter Manor ~

Potter Manor was a flutter of activity as they prepared for the quadruple birthday party that would be happening in a few days, while everyone who called the manor home were filled with excited anticipation as Freyr, Laufey and Neville's Hogwarts letters would be arriving any day now. Blaise had already received his at the beginning of last September as his birthday was the 16th of October so he would now be starting Hogwarts this September; as for Draco, he had received his letter at the beginning of May as his birthday was the 5th of June. Both boys were excited for their cousins and their friend to get their letters as they didn't want to go shopping for their school supplies until the three preteens got their letters.

Sirius and Regulus couldn't believe their children would soon be eleven. Time seemed to be going by so fast, which only made them treasure and hold onto each moment. For Draco's eleventh birthday party that he had five days ago, he had a small tea with his cousins, parents, aunts, and uncles as he had wanted to have a party with Freyr, Laufey and Neville as Freyr's birthday was the 23rd of June, Neville's the 30th of July and Laufey's the 31st of July. Which the three other children had all agreed to; all five of them – including Blaise were extremely close.

The past ten years had been bliss for the family; a bliss that had been a longtime coming. After all of the trials and the upheaval the family had suffered through. Just before Yule of 1981, Dumbledore finally had his trial and all those he had caused suffering to, could get the justice they so rightly deserved when he was sentenced to death via the Veil of Death. And by late April-early May of 1982 Bellatrix, Rabastan, Barty, Alice and Frank were healed all due to the skill and expertise of Cassiopeia Black and Fleamont Potter.

~ Flashback #1: December 11th 1981, Ministry of Magic~

Remus, Sirius and Regulus sat in the witness stands of courtroom one, waiting anxious for the trial of Dumbledore to start. With their grandparents Arcturus and Melania, and their cousin Andromeda Tonks nee Black, who was also their family Lawyer. They just wanted this chapter in their lives to be over, for justice for their family, for James and Lily, for Bella, Rabastan, and Barty, and justice for Alice and Frank Longbottom. So they can go home to their wonderful children Laufey Potter-Black and Freyr Black who were playing with their three cousins Nymphadora Tonks, Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy, safe within the confines of Potter Manor.

The five children had Charlus, Dorea, Petunia, Armann and Caoimhe, Ted, Blaise's parents and Narcissa watching over them with the wards locked down tight. No one who didn't have special permission could enter. While Monty Potter, Cassiopeia and Regulus Sirius Black I were at Hibernia Magnus Memor Hospital working on healing Bellatrix, Rabastan Lestrange, Barty Crouch and Alice and Frank Longbottom; and Euphemia was visiting Longbottom Castle to give Augusta, Archie, and Algie support and help with little Neville. They all just hoped that they could get that justice for them.

"Order!" Madam Bones and Lord Esposito called, banging their gavels to bring order to the court, and bringing the Blacks out of their thoughts. The five of them straightened their spines and hyper tuned into the courtroom not wanting to miss anything. They needed the justice, the closure this trial would hopefully give them. With all of the evidence against the old man they had handed into not only Madam Bones but also Lord Esposito the new Supreme Mugwump of the ICW, as they weren't only national crimes that Dumbledore had committed but also European crimes given the evidence against him; especially the evidence pertaining to Grindelwald and using his ICW position for nefarious purposes.

"I want order to this courtroom!" Lord Esposito called, his voice firm as he held sway over the courtroom. His voice was a baritone that you couldn't help but listen and pay attention to. "Today is the trial of well... the Wizarding world vs Albus Dumbledore..." He had to pause as the whispers got to a loud buzzing, that not even his glare could silence them with that revelation.
"SILENCE!!!" Madam Bones shouted, banging her gavel a few times. Lord Esposito nodded to her and continued speaking, a harsher edge to his voice this time.

"With crimes against the Houses of Potter, Black, Malfoy, Crouch, Longbottom, Lestrange, and his own House with the death of his sister at his hand and his younger brother Aberforth to be tortured in front of him by Grindelwald. Albus' lover. Then there are the crimes against the Wizarding world at large for being the mastermind of Gellert Grindelwald's plans, using his positions within the British Ministry, Hogwarts school and the ICW for his own nefarious plans and agendas. His other list of crimes are as follows: negligence pertaining to his positions, false imprisonment of Lord Black, Inheritance Theft, attempted child abduction as he tried to take Heiress Potter-Black from her family to undisclosed location.

He claimed there were Blood Wards despite living with her aunt, her mother's sister already. He cursed Lords Sirius Black and Lucius Malfoy, Heiress Potter-Black, Ms Bellatrix Black, Lord Barty Crouch Jr (along with his father), Heir Lestrange, Heir Longbottom and his wife Alice Longbottom nee Fortescue. For encouraging or faking werewolf attacks. All that could be heard within the courtroom with that announcement is the scratching of quills from the press section of the room.

"Bring in the accused!" Madam Bones ordered her handpicked Aurors. Since learning of all the people in Dumbledore's pocket she has been going through the Auror Department with a fine-toothed comb and weeded out any and all Dumbledore or Crouch Sr supporters, which had encouraged the other departments to do the same and remove such people from the Ministry – including Fudge and Umbridge for their repugnant behaviour – if they wanted to improve Wizarding Britain then they couldn't allow such people within the Ministry. Nor allow them to have such power over the people anymore where they could create and pass such heinous laws. They needed to welcome back all of Mother Magic's children, and that included all types of Magical Creatures/Beings, and witches/wizards with Creature Inheritances.

As Aurors Proudfoot, Shacklebolt and Mad-Eye Moody brought in Albus Dumbledore it was so silent in the courtroom you could hear a pin drop. Nobody spoke until he was securely chained to the chair in the middle of the room and given Veritaserum (which a verified Potion Master checked his eyes to tell if it was working), the three Aurors stepped back and nodded to Lord Esposito. The chains connected to the chair were Magic Dampening chains so they had no fear that Dumbledore could try to escape.
"What is your full name?" Lord Esposito asked the verifying question to make sure he wasn't fighting it.

"Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore."
"Did you willingly curse members of the Houses Potter, Longbottom, Black, Malfoy, Crouch and Lestrange?" Madam Bones asked.
"Yes."
"Why did you curse them?"
"They had too much power and I wanted that Potter brat with the weird, non-British name to kill Tom Riddle. I orchestrated a prophecy that could have pertained to her or the Longbottom brat, and to make it believable I with help of Rodolphus Lestrange curse his brother Rabastan, his wife Bellatrix and Barty Crouch Jr to torture Longbottoms. It was supposed to be all of them, minus the brat, but he – Rodolphus – took too much pleasure in torturing Alice and Frank and got caught.

For Sirius he was supposed to abandon the Potter brat and be sent to Azkaban for longer despite not being the Secret Keeper as that title belonged to Pettigrew. She was supposed to grow up unloved, abused and downtrodden so that when I sent Hagrid to rescue her, she would be beholden to me and would sacrifice herself, her life to stop Voldemort. But I didn't count on her aunt loving her, she was the start of my ruined plan I had paid her ex-husband handsomely to torture and abuse the Potter brat." Dumbledore spat, drawing breath before he explained how he wanted to segregate each member of the House of Black by cursing Lucius to follow Voldemort and make Narcissa and Draco follow in his steps and hate their family.

At his reply, his statement as the court scribe was jotting down everything that happened in this trial so it could be documented in the Ministry's archives, Dumbledore's file and reported word-for-word in the emergency Evening Edition of the Daily Prophet. The trial went on for the next three hours as they uncovered everything, the truth to everything he had done as the Wizarding World will see his true colours and see what sort of man he truly was. They learned that Voldemort was really alive and that he had made several Horcruxes to keep him alive, how many he had made, what they were, and even where they could be.

They learned for definite that he killed his own sister in a three-way duel so he wouldn't be tied down and could complete his plans to segregate the Muggles beneath them with Grindelwald. However, he got cold feet at the last minute when his brother announced he would destroy his image if he left. They learned how the 'duel' between him and Grindelwald was staged as he just wanted the Elder Wand even though he knew it was a Potter family Heirloom; which then was added to his extensive list of crimes. The wand was promptly returned to the Potters.

"Albus Dumbledore for your...extensive list of crimes you are hereby put to death via the Veil of Death. Your execution will happen immediately. The monetary of your House will go towards those you have caused pain and suffering to, even your own brother who will gain all right to your House as Lord Dumbledore and your minor seat within the Wizengamot. Those you have hurt and caused pain and suffering to will gain ten thousand Galleons each from your personal account at Gringotts. The money you have embezzled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and from the Ministry will be paid back from your secret accounts found within Gringotts. This court is adjourned." Lord Esposito ordered banging his gavel.

The Aurors immediately sprung forward, Proudfoot and Shacklebolt grasping his arms while Mad-Eye Moody had his wand fixed on Dumbledore's back inline with his heart and his Magical Eye fixed on every move he made; especially when he spotted Sirius, Regulus, Remus and the Blacks sitting in the witness stands and started spewing verbal abuse at them which they ignored as they and Aberforth Dumbledore followed the Aurors, Madam Bones and Lord Esposito to the room holding the Veil of Death – having gained special permission to do so – and watched with immense satisfaction as the old fool was pushed through the Veil ending the horrid chapter in their lives.

~ Flashback #2: May 2nd 1982, Hibernia Magnus Memor Hospital ~

In the last six months since five had been submitted to the hospital they have picked up greatly. A few days after the trial Regulus and Sirius went to the hospital with Andy and Narcissa. Regulus was going to visit his two best friends Rabastan Lestrange and Barty Crouch Jr, Sirius was visiting Alice and Frank, while Andy and Narcissa were visiting their older sister Bellatrix. All of whom picked up immensely with the visit from their loved ones and regained the will to live once more. Especially when Regulus and Sirius told them all about their children and how they were best friends with their cousins and Neville.

After Yule Cassiopeia and Monty managed to heal the damage done to Alice and Frank's brain to the huge relief of their loved ones. They would get to see their little boy grow up and watch as he bloomed and flourished, and all of the friends he would make. They didn't want Neville to visit them in the hospital, so now only suffering memory loss they had worked hard to get better. All of their tests were positive and only continued to head in that direction. Which was why, at the end of the month – exactly two months before their son's second birthday and six months since the attack – Alice and Frank would be released from the hospital, the last ones to do so.

~ June 10th 1991, Potter Manor ~

"GOOD MORNING DADDY!" Laufey and Freyr chirped as they entered the Family Dining room pulling both Sirius and Regulus from their thoughts as Petunia Black followed behind them. A year after everyone was released from the hospital Regulus and Petunia finally got married, doing a bonding ceremony at Beltane with all of their extended family members, on both Regulus and Petunia's side of the family – in attendance at Potter Manor with a few family friends there as well. Laufey was the cute little flower girl and Freyr was the handsome little ring bearer.

"Good morning, baby." Sirius smiled, scooping Laufey into his arms, settling her onto his lap as he peppered her face with kisses, Regulus copying him to Freyr's displeasure as he grumbled at his father while Laufey giggled happily. She was a true Daddy's Girl. Sirius secretly – not really – wouldn't have it any other way. "Good morning, little Reggie." Sirius grinned at his nephew using his nickname for him which made Freyr grin at his uncle in happiness.

"Good morning Freyr. Good morning Lay, did you both sleep well?" Regulus asked his son and niece concerned. They all knew that they, along with Draco, Neville and Blaise had stayed up most of the night talking about anything and everything during their little sleepover. All of them were far too excited for the Hogwarts letters to arrive.
"Did any of you get any sleep last night?" Petunia asked, biting back her smile as three tired but excited preteen boys entered the dining room with slight bags under their eyes that matched the ones beneath Laufey and Freyr's eyes. The five preteens shared a quick look before smiling sheepishly at Petunia.
"Erm....some?" Neville stated, but it was more like a question making everyone laugh as Caoimhe, Armann, Monty, Mia, Charlus and Dorea joined them.

At that moment Bobby, the Head House-elf at Potter Manor entered the Family Dining Room with three VERY familiar letters in his hands that caused the children to squeal and talk over each other in their excitement.
"There you go Miss La and Master Frey, and Heir Longbottom. Congratulations." Bobby said, handing them the correct letters. The thick weighty parchment with emerald, green ink written on the face of the envelope, and the Hogwarts crest stamped onto the back in red wax sealing it close had been eagerly awaited ever since they did their first Accidental Magic when they were babies.

"Thank you Bobby." The trio whispered; their eyes clasped on the envelope.
"Go on. Open them." Monty cajoled, a proud grin on his face as tears sprung to his eyes. He knew Jamie would be so proud of his little fawn and he also knew how proud Lily would be of her as well. He also knew they would be so proud of Freyr as well. They had loved both of them so much and had done their all to protect them that night and will continue to do so as they watch over the pair.

'She will go far, Jamie, just you wait. As will Freyr, their bond is remarkable. You would be so proud of them both.' Monty thought as the trio read out the contents of their letters to the room, one of them speaking one line after the other effortlessly. He didn't know how the five of them did it; Blaise and Draco joined in with them all the time as well. They just seemed to know what goes on through each other's heads, and often spoke the same thing at the exact same time. It always amazed them, and Charlus said it reminded him of the Weasley twins. Sharing a look with his brother now, Monty and Charlus knew they were thinking the exact same thing:
'Hogwarts I hope you're ready for these five!'

Also to avoid any confusion Arcturus's little brother is called Regulus Sirius Black I and Sirius's brother and Freyr's father is Regulus Arcturus Black. Both names are canon but in this Regulus I will be called Uncle Regulus or Great-Uncle Regulus. Regulus Arcturus Black will be called either Regulus or Reggie or Uncle Reggie depending on who's speaking.
