The First Dawn

As distasteful as the idea was, Teajgna saw the truth in what the moon had relayed. Wisdom is quiet often a maddening thing when it does not align with your wished, but she was aware of its truth, for she had witnessed the death of all those blooms and knew; deep in her heart, that she had caused it by blocking out the Sun. They needed him and so, she set out to convince her sisters of this fact and recount the warning of the Moon.

Saara was cold, and agreed that there must be a treaty to be made with her crazed father, for she knew that only he could snatch her cold and banish it.

The others were far less accepting of Teajgna's news. Tayra was wise enough to know its truth and was furious that they were bound to such a malevolent entity. But Nwrva was calm and serious, stating that she refused to barter her own life for such a depraved addiction, she was, as the altruistic Moon had cautioned, adamant there was another way.

Darkness won over the torturous light for many eons as the sisters debated this uneasy truce. If they allowed the Sun to shine it would be Teajgna who shouldered the greatest responsibility, for she alone could limit the sun and ensure that no harm came to anyone below. Saara would have to furnish her with the power required to do such a task by creating many more children, a thing that she was apprehensive about and feared that she would suffer more of the grief that had consumed her since. Tayra was agreed, she believed her eldest sister could hold Seander accountable if he tried to take liberties and trusted that no harm would come to Eatheajl as long as she did.

Nwrva could see nothing in this plan that made it acceptable to her to be consumed by this ireful parasite and warned that no matter how carefully we rationed him, at some time, sooner or later, she would be gone. But Saara disagreed.

'I will dress our mother with such abundance in the light of my father, that you will be stronger than ever you have before. Do my children not grow and increase your store? It is the truth, little sister. His presence will make us powerful and he will be easier to control.'

It was the confirmation of Saara's statement by Teajgna, that finally made Nwrva consent and with much trepidation, Teajgna returned to space between and relaxed her guard.

Instantly Teajgna felt her sister's presence and reassured her that she was in control. Seander drank, as one who does not have the necessary energy to save oneself. Feebly and a little at a time, but slowly he brightened and slowly he began to burn. The flow of water passing the through the sky increased, for Nwrva was rushing past Teajgna now as the Parched Sun regained his strength and still she let him drink. Hotter and hotter he became, his glow was becoming impressive and the licks of fire started to engulf his form, he was stronger, becoming conscious and with it, sinister and maleficent, Thus, Teajgna cut him off.

The Mad Sun roared with passion and the great and wise daughter of Eatheajl laughed with joy at her steady control. She had truly harnessed the suns power and he was at her mercy.

The Sun was stronger, but in the same moment, still weak and Teajgna, chose this moment to set to him, the terms of Eatheajl. He was incensed at being a prisoner. The idea was unbearable to him, for his thirst was maddening and he could not be rationed. But Teajgna reminded him that his alternative was death, excluding the fact that it would also be the death of them. Having no other options to ponder Seander gave his word to restrain himself and provide Eatheajl with light, he was to return often to collect his reward. This moment is known by all as the first dawn (the treaty of Dawn)

It is also known by all, that Seander would not keep his word.
