Messy Mistakes

Moondancers POV:

Moondancer was in line for breakfast and today it was a breakfast sandwich. She could see Sizzles Yellow Orange scales and Dewdrops Teal scales in the line but they were farther down the line. She thanked the server and waited for them to exit the breakfast line. Sizzle was the first to come out of the line, she stopped her with her tail as she walked out of the line. Some other students gave her a few looks. They walked somewhere else. "Hey Sizzle, Do you mind getting.... Dewdrop. We're going to sit at that table". Moondancer told Sizzle as she pointed to an empty table. She walked towards it and Sizzle nodded to her. She walked towards the table and sat down. Moondancer unwrapped her breakfast sandwich and it had two biscuits on top of it, an egg and sausage in it. She saw Sizzle and Dewdrop walking over to the table and they sat down with their trays. It was 7:26 and Sizzle seemed happy as she saw Dewdrop. "You're the dragon that caused the drama yesterday!. Do you know what happened afterwards?". Sizzle asked Dewdrop as she not into her sandwich. He smiled proudly and he nodded to them. "Yes, I'm fact I do!. Siren broke up with Beluga but Sawfish thought it was unprofessional of him to cheat on Siren with her. So now he's single and apparently Siren and Sawfish are dating". Dewdrop told them silently. He took a few bites of his breakfast sandwich and Sizzle kept looking back at the breakfast line. She smiled and lit up her horn with a few bright sparks. About a minute later the air warped and a portal made of stars appeared. Three dragons came out of the portal holding trays. Moondancer recognized them as Crevice, Glare and Nova. Nova had a bag on her chest. Glare seemed happy as she next to Sizzle. She seemed to recognize Moondancer as she ate her breakfast sandwich. Crevice seemed confused as she sat down at the table with them. "Is there a reason why are all at this table?. Or is it for fashion?". Crevice asked the group at the table as she finished her breakfast sandwich. Moondancer nodded to Crevice as she continued eating her sandwich and finished it. She saw Sizzle horn light up excitedly and Dewdrop gills flared in concern. "We are all here at this table because of something important. It involved all of you guys and you might not like it". Moondancer told them as she turned her tray to the side. Nova seemed even more nervous than she already was, Sizzle was a bit excited, Dewdropwas concerned and Crevice was confused. Crevice and Sizzle has already finished their food and they were waiting. Nova looked through the bag on her chest, the galaxy on her wings changed to a Lime Green. She looked up at Crevice and closed her bag. "Did we have any homework in Math?". Nova asked Crevice as her galaxy changed to have spots of light Grey and light Pink. Crevice looked at Nova and nodded to her. Moondancer knew they didn't have any homework. Nova let out a small sigh to herself and her galaxy changed to a light Baby Blue. There were still spots of other colors and one of them was light Orange. She sighed and wondered what they would think about the prophecy. "I had a prophecy and...... you guys are in it. I'm unsure if you know but King Starwatcher might have sent a message to you Queen or Kings about it". Moondancer told them as she looked at the clock. It was 7:35 and it was almost time for first period. Dewdrop had finished his breakfast and he had gotten up from the table they were at. "Do any of you have empty trays?. I could take them". Dewdrop told them as Crevice, Nova, Sizzle and Moondancer handed him their trays. He walked over to the trash can and emptied their trays into it. He came back to the table and sat back down with them. Moondancer softly tapped her talons on the wooden table. "You guys don't really seem that affected by the prophecy". Moondancer told them. She thought they would've been a bit more disappointed. Dewdrop laughed a bit as his gills lifted in joy. He seemed as if he didn't want to be in the anyway. "Are you kidding?. I'd do anything if it meant being anywhere but in this school!". Dewdrop laughed as Crevice and Glare nodded in agreement. "He's not wrong though. I get that feeling everything I leave my house. Maybe that just me being paranoid". Nova told her as she looked at the clock. She breathed a sigh of relief and her galaxy turned a darker Blue. "Should we meet back here tomorrow?. It seems like we're run out of time". Crevice told them as she got up from the table. Moondancer nodded to the group and they all nodded. The bell had now rang and they walked to their classes. The first few periods of her classes seemed longer than usual. She felt little motivation to do her work as she was focused on the prophecy. She knew that Nova could make portals so she could probably control her Cosmic has really well if she knew how it worked but they would figure something out. She was in her last class of the day which was Herbs and Healing. Mrs. Rosebush was grading papers and during that time students could chat with one another or visit other classes. She heard talons from the hallways as students walked from one class to another. Two dragons walked into the classroom and towards Mrs. Rosebush. She looked at them and smiled. "Hello Nova and Crevice. Do you have a pass?". Mrs. Rosebush asked as she looked back at the papers. Nova nodded and she handed her a slip of Red paper. Mrs. Rosebush looked at it and then nodded. She pointed towards Moondancer and they nodded. Moondancer watched as they walked over to her. Novas Blueish Purplish body and Crevices Light Grey scales came towards her. They sat in two chairs that were near her. She smiled at them. "Did you two want to talk about something?. Was it the prophecy?". Moondancer asked them. Crevice was unsure and Nova was certain about it. They both felt different things as she asked them. Nova galaxy in her wings changed to Fuchsia Purple. "Yes, we know about it because Queen Nebula sent a messenger to my house and you told us about it. That was the first time I've been inside of the palace. It's really big. I think there were about three of the same rooms". Nova told her as she extended her wings as she described how big the rooms were. She looked at Crevice and Crevice seemed amazed but not interested. She wondered if Crevice was excited about the prophecy the same way Dewdrop was. They had all agreed that it was a free pass to get out of school. It was mostly boring anyway. "I wanted to tell you both that we can use my portals to get to Glare and Crevices house. I know where they are since I've done school projects with them. They don't live too far". Nova told them as the stars on her underbelly and wings glowed brighter. She didn't know how to feel about the prophecy now that she thought about it. I'm going to be far away from my parents and my sister. No one will help me except Tarantula, Widow and Queen Arachnie. I don't even know who they are!. How will I know to go!. I guess I could I could use my visions, but they aren't like my moms. My dreams aren't that helpful even when I don't dream. Is this a good idea?. Moondancer thought as she nodded at Nova. A flash of vines with small spikes on them and dragons screaming flashed through her head. Yes.... this is a good idea. For the..... Seamwings!. Moondancer thought as she smiled to herself. She thought about the route they would take. She had no clue where they would go to get to Aithria. "Can you go to places if you think about them?. Or do you have to see them?". Moondancer asked Nova. Crevice nodded as she looked at Nova. Nova shook her head and her galaxy changed to Orange, the color of confusion. She knew a few other colors as well. Red was for Anger or frustration, Orange was for confusion or sarcasm, Yellow was for joy or curiosity, Green was for disgust or nervousness, Blue was for sadness or sincerity, Light Blue was for calmness or relief, Purple was for fear or confidence and Pink was for embarrassment or love. There were probably other colors she didn't know about but it wasn't what she was focused on. She was focused on the prophecy and her new friends. "I have to see the place or think about a place that I've already been to. I can't make a portal to a place I haven't seen". Nova told them as she let her wings droop to her sides. She wondered how long it took her mother to solve her prophecy. She would probably take a bit longer since they were only dragonets. She was probably the youngest as she was only four. She guessed that Sizzle was the oldest because the only class she ever saw her in was Herbs and Healing. She was probably in harder classes than she was. She wondered what classes she had with Nova and Crevice, She never knew, even with her visions. They were only small flashes unlike her mother's. One time when Dreamseer was only two months, she crawled too close to the stove. Her mother had saved her and Dreamseer is now more careful about ovens. She wondered what type of stuff they had at Aithria. Moondancer nodded to Nova and she looked at the clock. It was 3:00 and Moondancer closed the button on her pouch that was slung over chest. Nova looked at her and breathed her Cosmic breath in a circle. It almost disappeared as it formed. "Do you want to come with us?. Your cave seems close". Nova told her as saw Crevice step into the portal. Moondancer nodded as she stepped towards the portal. She could see the other side but it was misty. Like she needed glasses. She stepped through the portal and closed her eyes. She felt the ground shift from smooth stone to rough rocks. She opened her eyes and looked around. She was right in front of her house. Moondancer looked back at Nova and smiled. "H-How do you know where I live?". Moondancer asked Nova. Crevice backed into the portal and Nova stopped her with her tail. Nova slowly backed away from her. "I follow Dreamseer and you on your way home sometimes when I fly with Crevice to her home". Nova told her as she backed away into the portal. The portal closed with a small whoosh. She could hear Dreamseer fly closer to their home. She opened the door and left it open for Dreamseer. Her mom was working today but she went to work at about six to nine at night. Her mom poked her head out of the kitchen and smiled at her. She frowned as she looked behind Moondancer when she saw that the door had been left been. "Hello Moondancer!. What did I say about leaving the door open?. You'll let the cold air in". Violet told Moondancer as Dreamseer created a gust of wind near the doorway. She looked at Dreamseer and smiled as she came in through the doorway leaving small tracks of dust behind her. Violet seemed relieved as Dreamseer closed the door behind her with her tail. Violet looked at both of their bags and they nodded softly as she went to the kitchen. Moondancer could smell something sweet from the kitchen and she recognized it as brownies. Violet brought the brownies down from the counter and set them down on the kitchen table. They were already cut into proportional squares and they were still warm. The snacks they had when they came home from school were always warm or hot as they had just come from the oven. "Would you two like some?. I made them about an hour ago, they're still warm if you want some". Violet told them as she pulled out a knife and lowered it to the brownies. The vines appeared again, they were all around her. Her new friends were trapped as well. There were dragons fleeing their continent and coming closer to their continent. Most of them had fallen into the ocean because of exhaustion or hunger. Moondancer snapped out of her vision as her mom handed her a plate of brownie. It was a middle end piece, she liked those the most because the ends were crunchy. She bit into the brownie and it was delicious. It was chewy and warm. It was very sweet the way her mom always made them. When she had finished her brownie, she had gone into her room to wait until dinner was ready. While Moondancer waited for dinner she started to draw her vision that she saw earlier. She carefully drew what she had seen in her vision. She drew the vines that she saw around her and she realized that they looked familiar. They looked like the ones she saw in the newspaper. She had to go to Aithria and quickly, she would go tomorrow and she would bring her friends. For dinner she had Hawk and baked potatoes. They had dinner at 4:30 because her mom had work tonight. They were really good and she looked at the map on the wall by the doorway. She hadn't noticed it yesterday, so why was it there today?. Maybe her mother had just put it up. She couldn't read it from the table because it was too far away. "How was your day at school Moondancer and Dreamseer?. Is there anything important coming up?". Violet asked Moondancer and Dreamseer as she took a bite of her baked potato. Moondancer was unsure if she should mention the fact she could leave tomorrow. If she did, she could save Aithria. She swallowed a piece of Hawk and looked towards her mom. "I do. Tomorrow I have to travel to Aithria with my friends to figure out a prophecy. If I don't the dragons on Aithria will be in danger". Moondancer told her mom. Violet seemed nervous about it and sighed. Her mother stared at the wooden table they were eating on, for a second she looked at Drizzle. Drizzle seemed nervous as well. Why wasn't he nervous earlier when she told him about the prophecy?. Maybe Violet saw something and that's what had made him nervous. Violet looked at Moondancer and sighed nervously. "Don't forget to rest on your way there and...". Violet pauses for a moment as she fiddled with her talons. She was finished with her dinner and set her plate to the side. Moondancer took a sip of her milk and set the glass on the table with a soft thud. "Make sure you greet everyone with respect and be careful, please?". Violet asked Moondancer as she looked at Dreamseer. She had almost finished her Hawk and there was still half a baked potato on her plate. Moondancer took a forkful of the her last baked potato and nodded to her mother. "I will. I'll be safe, I promise". Moondancer pleaded to her mom as she finished her baked potato. Drizzle seemed proud of Violet and he wrapped his tail around Violets.

Moondancer her been doing all her work pretty quickly, but she checked over it to make sure she had gotten her work right. When the end of the school day came she saw Nova and Crevice come into her Herbs and Healing class again. They walked over to her and smiled. They seemed happier than the day before. "Hello Moondancer!. We're here for you and we're going to get the others. The teachers don't mind". Nova told her as she looked at the doorway. She wasn't sure where the rest of them were though. Moondancer got out of her chair and nodded which signaled that she was ready to go. Nova was the one that led the way through the smooth stone hallways. The firefly globes glowed brightly above their heads. Nova led them through the hallways and stopped at a classroom. She knocked on the door and a teacher opened the door. It was Mr. Aloe. He was an art teacher who was very good at painting and had multiple paintings of the royal family, Queens and Kings along with teacher and student portraits. He also did ceramics sometimes, but that was for older dragonets. He was a Webwing was was a Pale Green with a darker Green underbelly. His webbings seemed to be smaller and his bioluminescent scales seemed dimmer than normal. She knew that Winter was getting close but she didn't know it that close. It was one of the reasons that it was getting colder near their house. He seemed happy to see them but confused. "What are you three doing here?. You don't have me until next semester?. Are you here for the advanced classes?". Mr. Aloe asked them as he looked inside of his classroom. She couldn't see Dewdrops Teal scales in his classroom so he was probably in the back of the class. Was he painting a picture or doing homework?. She had finally spotted his Teal scales walked over to a rack of shelves with metal racks on them. He was putting a piece of paper on the drying rack. "We're here for Dewdrop. Is he here?". Moondancer asked Mr. Aloe as he looked near the drying rack. He walked over to Dewdrop and pointed towards Moondancer, Crevice and Nova. Dewdrop had walked over to them and his gills were a bit smaller now that she saw them, weren't they more outward last time?. "Are we finally leaving for the prophecy?. Finally!, I thought that you couldn't wait any longer!". Dewdrop exclaimed as Nova led them down the hallway towards another room. It was a bit farther down and she recognized it as the PE room. The gym teacher noticed them and opened the door for them. It was Mrs. Anchor and she looked happy to see them. She looked towards the room where multiple dragonets were playing games like Talons and Skulls, Marbles and Hoops. She could see Sizzle playing Talons and Skulls with a few other dragons. One of them was Starmover and the other one was Delusion. "We're here for Sizzle, Do you mind?". Nova asked Mrs. Anchor as she looked back at Sizzle. She looked at the group that was playing Talons and Skulls and she flew across the gym. "Hey Skillet!. Your friends need ya for something!. Remember... BODY POSITIVITY!". Mrs. Anchor yelled as Sizzle ran towards them. Sizzle opened the door and ran towards them. Sizzle was almost out of breath as she stood with them. Nova was concerned for Sizzle as he galaxy turned Charatuse. She wrapped a wing around Sizzle and they turned around and walked back the way they came. "Why did Mrs. Anchor call you Skillet?. Is that a nickname she has for you?". Nova asked Sizzle as they continued walking through the hallway. Sizzle nodded to Nova as they slowed down near a few classrooms. "She has nicknames for everyone. Delusion is Delusional and Starmover is Mini Mindseer". Sizzle told Nova as they stopped in front of another classroom. It was Mrs. Match's room, she was a Math teacher for older dragonets. Nova nervously knocked on Mrs. Match's door and the door opened immediately. She was a Solarwing with Deep Carmine scales and a puff of smoke came out of her nose. "What do you dragonets want?. Do the other teachers know your here?". Mrs. Match asked them. Nova looked at Mrs. Match and she nodded. "Yes, they know we're here. Is Glare here?". Mrs. Match looked at Nova and she gave a soft smile to her. She seemed happy, usually she was angry and yelling at students to get back to class. "Of course she is, I'll go get her". Mrs. Match told them as she closed the door. Dewdrop and Moondancer looked at Nova surprised. Dewdrops bioluminescent scales lit up dimly as he stared at Nova. "How did you do that?!. Usually she's...... angry and yelling at her students!". Dewdrop yelled to Nova as her galaxy turned Green. Moondancer nodded as Dewdrop spoke. Novas galaxy then turned purple with confidence as she looked at them. "Well I'm friends with her daughter, Heatwave. She's really nice if you're nice to her daughter". Nova told them as the door to Mrs. Match opened with Glare standing in the doorway. "Go on Glare, Your friends need you more than I do". Mrs. Match told Glare as she shoved her out of the door. Sizzle caught her as she glared at Mrs. Match when she closed the door. Nova looked at Moondancer as she looked at the entrance to the school. They walked to the front of the school and felt the warm air for a second before school ended when the bell rang.
