Chapter 3 of burning memories

"I-, forgive me I thought you were responsible for the child, and yes I can tell what caused the wounds."
"But what I wish to know is where she got them, who caused this, and where are they?" The woman states the questions firmly. I reply back, "As would I, this man should be severely punished for his actions against this child!" I say praying to God that whatever happened to this child won't happen to anyone else. "I never said it was a man." The woman says fear and suspicion clouding her gaze. I panic and quickly tell a woman that it was not me. "Tell me, why should I believe you?" She questions suspicion still in her gaze. "If I really had done this, I wouldn't have even brought her here in the first place." I stated, hoping that she does believe me. "I-, I suppose that makes sense though if not you who or what could have done this?" She questions fearfully. "I don't know, we should question the child once she wakes up, hopefully then we will get the answers we seek." I state flatly, hoping we will get answers. "Well then  in that case since I cannot be suspicious of you until evidence has shown, what is your name?" She asks kindly, I don't know her motives but I hope they're just as kind as they sound. "My name is Fairy Farfield, son of a nobleman." I say telling her my rank, just to get it out of the way. "What is your name healer?" I asked politely, quite curious as to what her name is. "My name is Alice Vinyl, it is a pleasure to meet you Fairy." She says politely, she looks like she wanted to say something else but didn't. "Is there something you wish to know Alice?" I ask curiously. "Oh it's just, you wouldn't happen to be the Noble son that is to betrothed to the princess of the Angelic Kingdom, would you?" She asked politely, 'Damn, I really don't wanna answer that.' "Yes and what of it?" I state coldly, I do not wish to be having this conversation especially with someone I just met not to mention I don't even love the princess. "Oh my, it appears that you do not wish to be betrothed to the young lady, hmm?" I can't help but notice the laughter that Rings throughout Alice's voice and start to feel the blood rush to my cheeks. "Excuse me, Lord Farfield?" "Hmm-?, Oh, I'm sorry I was lost in thought." I said thoroughly embarrassed. "Oh no, it was my fault for not realizing sooner that you weren't listening, Lord Farfeild." Alice say somewhat concerned. "Miss Alice, please call me Fairy, not young lord, and most certainly not Lord Farfeild." I say knowing I could get in trouble for telling some stranger to ignore my status. "Oh, in that case please call me Alice, Mr. Fairy." She says in an almost teasing tone. Dear God, why does only her voice have this effect on me, it's sweet and smooth, yet it has an accent that is as thick as honey. "Heh, I'm already being teased by you too?" I feign being hurt, I didn't even know could sound like this. "I'm sorry Fairy, I didn't mean to tease you at all." I give her a look. "Okay, maybe I did, I apologize Mr. Fairy." She says sticking her tongue out at me, she like a child in an adult's body. I snicker at the thought, "You know, if you keep sticking your tongue out someone's gonna to steal it." I lightly chuckle at her new expression. Alice then began to collect herself, then paused. "I suppose you are right about that." She chuckles,"Though, if hadn't I would have never found out a noble has country mannerisms." She states still chuckling. I gulp nervously at her small deduction.
