The Missings (5)
Samay was sitting on his bed, holding a cup of tea in his hand, stealing glances at fuming Tarun who was cursing the three detectives under his breath while pacing inside his room.
"Tarun," Samay called.
"What?" Tarun turned towards Samay, glaring at him.
"Um, when did you arrive?"
"Seriously? That's what you are going to ask? 'When I arrived'? I should be the one asking you what the hell you were thinking, agreeing to help those detectives despite knowing what would happen to you."
Samay looked down at his tea as he answered, "They needed help to find some missing girls. And I could not turn my back on someone who genuinely needs my help."
Tarun let out a deep breath before sitting down on the bed near Samay's feet and said, "I know. But couldn't you have helped them in some other way?"
Samay looked at Tarun, pouting.
Tarun sighed. He said, "Sameera saw something and asked me to come here. So I teleported here only to find, or should I say, hear your scream."
"Sameera saw something? What did she see?"
Tarun shrugged. "I don't know. She didn't tell me anything. Just said that you needed me."
"I see."
Tarun looked at Samay for a while before saying, "You should rest."
Samay nodded and laid down as Tarun went to prepare lunch.

Chirag was sitting in his cabin with Maan. They were going through the case files once again. That Samay told them that the first girl who went missing was still alive but was being tortured brutally. Chirag did not give a rat's ass to what this guy said. A psychic who can't see future but can tell you about your past and present by touching your picture? Please. The guy was obviously faking it. For all he knew, this Samay guy could be the perpetrator and was really good at hiding it. Chirag frowned as he remembered what Samay had told them about the kidnapper. The person was left handed. Chirag looked at Maan.
"Maan, do you know Samay's dominant hand?," he asked.
Without looking up from his files, Maan answered, "Yes. He is ambidextrous."
"I see." Chirag got up from his desk and said, "I have to go."
Maan looked up from his files and looked at Chirag in confusion.
"Where are you going?"
Chirag didn't answer. He just left.

It's been a week. A week since Chirag started following Samay. Samay was a very routine bound guy. At morning, he went out jogging. After he returned from his jog, he would tend to his garden before going inside to freshen up. At 10 a.m., he would come out of his house and go to the nearby coffee shop for some coffee and pastry. Then he returned home and would stay inside until it was 5 p.m. when he would come out of the house and sit in the chair that was placed at the center of his garden to read some book while sipping some kind of beverage and having some snack. Once the beverage and snacks were done, he would go inside and stay there and would come out next morning for jogging and repeat what he did the day before.
Chirag did not find Samay doing anything suspicious but he still kept on following him as he was doing right now. He followed Samay around the corner and stopped. Samay was nowhere to be seen. That's odd. Right now, Samay would go to the coffee place he frequented. Chirag got out of his car and looked around hoping to find a sign of Samay when suddenly someone caught him in a headlock.
"Stalking someone is a crime, isn't it, handsome," came Samay's voice from behind.
Chirag smirked. "And so is assaulting an on duty officer," he said before getting out of the headlock and slamming Samay to the nearby wall, jamming his forearm on Samay's neck.
Samay just gave him a seductive smile and said, "Then arrest me, officer."
Chirag smiled. "Gladly, Mr. Deshmukh" he said before putting handcuffs around Samay's hands. "Follow me."
"I will follow you even to the hell, Mr. Joshi," Samay flirted causing Chirag to roll his eyes before taking Samay to his car and driving off to the police station.
