Letter 32
April 13th 1941
My dear Beth,
I've stumbled into a local town, it's devastatingly poor. When I first came they checked all my pockets for money, before realizing that I was just as well off as they were.
They're hiding jewish people here, and by the look of things the war had escalated in these past few months beyond belief. I'm just glad that you're safe in America.
They have a post office here, send me a letter will you?
-J
