CHAPTER 1

✈ I GO TO NYC✈

If you ask me if being a demigod is easy I would say ''AS IF!!'' I could tell you my other adventures but I'd have to tell you my first one.

It started about 2 minutes before I found out that I was demigod. I was on the beach with my dad. He was a teacher at the North Dakota College. That's where he met my mom. He told me that she loved me but, her parents didn't approve of him.

''Her name was Athena.'' '' As in Athena, goddess of wisdom?!'' I almost choked on my PB&J sandwich. '' So, you're saying that she was goddess!?''I asked as I chewed my sandwich. He nodded.

I sat down on my chair again. '' I wanted to tell you that years ago. So I'm sending you off for a special camp for kids like you. So pack your bags! You're going to New York City!!''He looked as if he wanted for me to leave. That night I had trouble falling asleep.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of ringing. I turned off my alarm clock. Yay!!! Time to go to NYC!!! I packed tons of clothing with a few charms and pictures of me and my dad. ''Come on, Riley you don't want to miss the plane!!!!'' My dad yelled from downstairs.

As my dad and me got in the car I texted my ex-boyfriend good bye forever!!! I didn't care that we broke up just 3 years ago. His name was Matt W. He was the cutest boy in the whole school,but since we broke up many girls have been trying to get with him.

'' Come on Riley, we're here at the airport. You got to get out of the car or you will miss the plane!!'' I grabbed my bag and ran into the airport. I asked if flight 25 left yet.

''Why, no it hasn't left yet. Did you get a pass for it? ''The man answered.''Well,thanks!'' I raced down the airport to find the correct plane. Umm... flight 20, flight 21, flight 22, flight 23, flight 24 and finally flight 25!As I on a seat they called my flight. ''Calling flight 25 your plane has arrived.''The woman in navy black said on the intercom.

As I sat on the plane I saw a cute boy with honey blond and had beautiful golden eyes sat next to me.''So, where are you going?'' I asked him. '' I'm going to New York City. And where are going to go to?'' He asked me back. I told him that I heading to some camp called Camp Half-Blood. '' Well so am I! So, who is your immortal parent?'' He asked again as he waited for my answer.'' My mom is Athena, the Greek goddess of battle and wisdom. So who might yours be?'' I asked in low tune. '' Mine is Hermes the god of pathways and journeys.'' ''That's cool. I had to go or my dad wouldn't take away my text books. My textbooks are how I keep myself busy.''. Beep!! There was a sound on the p.a. system that sounded like a alarm. ''Okay everyone, we have a minor problem. We need to have a quick repair on the bathroom so, you can not use them until 1:30. Right now is 1:15 we will have a small present for all of you after we land the plane. ''Well, my name's Riley Mcgray. So what could your name be?'' '' My name is Bennie Smith.'' ''Nice name.'' I replied as I opened my purse. ''You want a jolly rancher? I can't eat one since I don't really like candy.'' '' Sure, I can eat candy but, I'm a vegetarian.'' '' That's great!! I'm one too I just hate meat!! I only eat healthy stuff.''I said. Then only in a matter of time I had arrived in NYC. Me and Bennie got of the plane together. As I called a taxi, he waited for another since none came, I let him get into my cab. As a hill in the distance appeared into the distance, me and Bennie got out of the cab. As I passed a very high hill I knew it had to be half-blood hill. ''Come on Bennie!! I don't feel like being late today if I want to make a good rep.'' I grabbed his hand and tugged it. Then, he made this cute picture on his face to pled me to get over there. He did a puppy pout face. It's just that, I have a weakness on cute boys like him. ''Fine. Just give me a sec.'' He pulled a $20 and gave it to the driver. ''Well, thanks Bennie your such a gentleman.I'll pay you back tomorrow.'' '' No need, I just owe a favor to this charming girl right here.'' He gestured to me. Then I realized that he was crushing on me. I blushed bright as a red ballon. Then I cleared my throat. '' Um, let's go. I can't miss the welcoming part'' As Bennie was about to talk he cleared his throat. '' So... you want to hang out sometime?''

I couldn't believe what he said. Was he asking me out? '' I mean not a date or anything like that. Just for fun." " Whew! I almost thought that you were asking me out!. Let's just go. We'll miss the opening."

I raced up the hill as he passed me. His blonde hair was pushed backwards, showing his eyes. He was just ahead of me when he tripped. He had stumbled over a rock the size of an apple. He was lying on some sharp rocks. " Didn't see them coming. Need help." Then, he passed out cold. I ran down the other side of the hill with him on my back. I never felt this much weight since I had to carry all my dad's bags. Luckily, he only had small amount of big scars on his chests. He had a small burn, like the caduceus of Hermes on his forehead. Then in the distance I finally saw people. I called for help. They ran to me. They all looked about my age. The tallest was the cutest. He kind of looked like Bennie but a lot more mature. " Here let me help. So, who's your boyfriend?" " He's not my boyfriend! He's a friend. And he needs help!" " Alright little cutie, my name's Zack. Follow me. I'll take him to Chiron."
