Ashley's POV

I hate to force this, but allowing Slade any corner would be a bad idea.

"We'll just make sure he doesn't move. We've got Red X and Blackfire. If they don't switch over, they're going to counseling." I threatened and looked at Jordan through the corner of my eye. She her ear buds in but she was staring at our lips. She tilted her head back and huffed.

"So you just built this?!" Robin did not sound thrilled. He was still kind of stuck on the fact that there was a new building in the city.

"Yes. Measures must be taken. This is to protect many, many worlds, you, of all people should understand. Let's go see Blackfire." I said, leading the way, as people were still moving furniture around.

In her cell, Blackfire struggled to get out of her bonds. I untied her gag. "Let me out! I've escaped worse!" Blackfire started cursing in Tamaranian. For your sake, I won't translate. Jordan growled from the corner of the room.

"Silence, Komand'r. This is your sister, Koriand'r. You wanted to speak with her." I said.

"You... you weren't lying? You brought her?" Blackfire looked confused. Blackfire switched to Tamaranian when Starfire came in. Yes, I know Tamaranian. Big whoop. "Sister! I'm sorry for what I've done. I shouldn't have done it. I'm sorry I hurt you." Blackfire said. I moved to the door.

"I forgive you, sister. I forgave you a long time ago. We can... start over?" Starfire asked hopefully.

"Let it be so." Star embraced her sister, tears running down her face. I freed Blackfire.

"It is well?" I asked/confirmed.

"Yes." They said. It had taken awhile to convince Blackfire of her crimes, but her sister will be a good influence. Plus, we could always track her down.

"Back to English now, ladies. Let's pay Red X a visit. I want you two to stay back. I need Robin for this." We walked out, Blackfire and Starfire side by side. This is what I was dreading. Red X had a guilty conscience, but it hadn't quite caught up yet. I took a deep breath, motioned to Robin, and opened the door. Red X looked up. He was bound to a chair, arms hand-cuffed behind the chair, the bindings wrapped tight from his chest to his abdomen, his feet handcuffed and bound to the chair, and gagged. I removed the gag.

"Talk to him." I said to Robin, closing the door, but remaining in the room.

Robin's POV

"This reminds of a nightmare I had... I hope it was a nightmare... but you weren't in it." I said to Red X. "The nightmare had a crazy chic with a frying pan who knew how to torture Titans. She planned to kidnap all the Teen Titans in order to own them. She brought in Kitten! ["100 Reasons to Stay," it's in my Reading List somewhere. Hi-larious.]

"Hello... what do you want?" Red X said cautiously. "I'll help you, just keep me here. I don't want to be anywhere near where Slade can get me."

"Deal, then." It was this easy?! What had she done to them?!

"We'll make it more comfortable in here later, then. See you. But you'll still have handcuffs and no weapons. Sorry."

"Bye. You mind getting the trackers out of me and Koma's pockets?"

"Ohhhh... yeah." Ashley held out her hand and the tracker flew into her hand and disinigrated. When we walked out, she did the same to Blackfire's tracker. What was left of it, anyway. Blackfire had already tried to blast it. Ashley took out her communicator.

"Catrina, you can make Red X's quarters more comfortable. Leave him tied up, and bring back-up. No chances. And have Mary come with her bow at the ready." Ashley said, more commanding than suggesting.

"Got it. We aren't going to trust him yet? Don't you have Raven with you? Can't you tell for yourself if we can?"

"Yes, but just do it. Later. We'll save this puzzle for another time. Thanks, Catrina."

"No problem. Catrina, out." Catrina said. Ashley snapped her communicator shut.

"Let's see what our scouts say. I'll introduce you to your troops here later. You guys are going to help run this. Consider it Mission 1 of your time in MA. You'll be an officer like Catrina in no time. Most people are under Catrina, though." Ashley said. It was like 'Hey, I built a huge base in your city and I'm moving a bunch of heroes in. Oh, yeah, and by the way, you're supposed to run it.' It was like somebody had stuffed tofu in my mouth and slapped me with a live fish so I'd swallow it. Which has happened to me before. It was Beast Boy's 'Rude Awakening Prank' video. Star had shoved a pie in his face because she had been there and my yell had woken her up, and she apparently didn't like it when people slapped me with fish. "This will all be made clear soon. You'll be thankful." Ashley said, reading my thoughts. I shook my head. I hated it when Raven did that, and I didn't like Ashley doing that either.

"Don't worry, guys. Mary and I will be running this and giving the orders. You just help. We have this under control. Might as well sign on as defenders." Catrina came up with Mary, Burnette, Frank, William, and some others all wearing badges with their names on it. The unknown ones were Ellen, Zach, Holly, and Derek. Another guy ran up. His name was Akihiko Juro. He has black hair and stormy sea-gray eyes. He looked like he was about 17, and wore a black, long, sleeved, Japanese Military uniform with three gold bands near the end of the sleeves and four golden buttons running down with gold, and plates on the shoulders with gold fringes dangling. He wore black pants and dress shoes that were black as night with a katana sheathed over his shoulder. It was blue with badges decorating it. Three others came behind him. Amber, Corinne, and Kinzee came behind him. The three girls' outfits were tight and black, with no cape, obviously designed for stealth.

"What have you found?" Ashley asked them. The last four were the scouts, I guessed, as they stopped.

"Slade's up to something. Juro-san can tell you more fully. The basics: Blackfire and Red X were meant to be a distraction, but they turned themselves in on purpose instead. A bunch of villains rallied to him, but that's not the worst. He's got villains that were frozen. Yep, he's unfreezing villains. No telling when he'll release the entire force." Kinzee told Ashley.

"I'll send a troop over there to either destroy or jail the remaining villains in our jails. No respite. No back-up for Slade. He wants team members, he'll have to get them himself." Ashley crossed her arms. "General, you have classified information?" Akihiko nodded. "Excellent, please re-" The alarm went off. It was like ours, but a female computer voice, like the one the map had, accompanied it.

"Two of Slade Wilson's shock troops have been detected. The first: Five total: Mammoth, Gizmo, Fang, Killer Moth, and Control Freak. Two hostages: Jinx and Kid Flash. Target: Base 10, rooftop. The other: Four total: Dr. Light, Mad Mod, Mumbo Jumbo, and a new villainess called Tetris. Tetris abilities: Flight, Shock, and invading minds; capable of severe damage and mortality. Will resort to charming, knife-slinging (quantity:4), teleportation, and electric punches. Target: Base 10, rooftop. Assemble defense on rooftop. Enemy plan: picher movement, hostages as defense." Ashley pulled out her communicator and hit a button before opening it.

"Kari. I need you. Be a main defender. Your ability to absorb powers will prove priceless once again." Ashley said.

"I'll organize a patrol." Ashley nodded and snapped it shut. All the communicators in Base 10 went off, alerting everyone, as if they hadn't heard. Everyone opened their communicators and rushed to their postions. Akihiko ran to the rooftop, unsheathing his katana. My communicator told me to go to the rooftop and rescue the hostages.

"Titans, move out!" I yelled. We ran to a strange elevator. All you did was step into the enclosed jet stream, think where you wanted to go, and the jet stream took you there. It was also programmed to reject enemies by blasting them with auto-defense lasers. We shot up to the roof and took our places. Kari [described in "The Master's Pet," belongs to karikitdemon] and her small group were in the center, forming a circle facing outwards. Everyone prepared to meet the enemy. The computer voice rang out.

"Stations. Enemy approaching. One minute until enemy landing." I turned to Star and whispered in his ear.

"If anything happens, just know that I love you and I will protect you with my life." I side-hugged her tightly, and she hugged back. I had a really bad feeling.

"I love you as well, Robin. Fight well." Star said, resuming her fighting stance. I smiled grimly. Bruce always said to make good memories while you could, because the chance will disappear if you don't take it. Next thing I knew, Mammoth, Gizmo, Fang, Killer Moth, and Control Freak dropped onto the tower. Mammoth charged for me immediately, but Star blasted him. Star got too close and was thrown back into Killer Moth. I took out my bo staff and kicked Mammoth's butt for throwing Star. I was mad, and Killer Moth trying to launch mutant insects at Star wasn't helping. A lot of the heroes were trying to fight off the mutant moths. Raven threw an explosive barrel at Mammoth telepathically to take him out. I handcuffed him as I flipped over him. I took down Killer Moth with a kick to the stomach and a downward blow from my bo staff. Jinx and Kid Flash were nowhere in sight. The next little party landed. The dance was on. Cyborg and Raven fought Gizmo, but an arrow from Mary took his pack out, leaving him helpless.

"Crappy, crabmunching- Mph!" Mary looped a gag over his mouth and cuffed him. She dodged a blow from Fang, who was trying to sneak up on her, and it hit Gizmo instead, knocking him out. Mary tossed him and Gizmo in a large chute, which spat out any heroes that fell in. Control Freak had gotten zapped by the elevator lasers, and was thrown in the chute by a cheerful Catrina. That girl isn't happy unless she's in a good fight. I heard her humming as she shot Dr. Light with a stunning Taser. He was out like a light (pun intended). Mad Mod screamed like a little girl and jumped down the chute. I jumped and air-kicked Mumbo Jumbo down after him. Only one left. Tetris had long silver hair and wicked, gorgeous silvery-gray eyes. But her beauty seemed fake. Like an actress's façade. There was an emotionless was that made her beauty lethal and distasteful. She wore a silvery white dress that floated above the ground, white boots occasionally making an appearance to kick someone. It made her appear unearthly. Many heroes had fallen trying to bring her down. I identified one of them as Ellen, and she wasn't breathing. In fact, several didn't seem to breathing steadily, now that I was noticing. Tetris brought down Kari's patrol with a shockwave, but Kari simply absorbed it and shocked Tetris back. Tetris threw a knife, but Kari was gone, leaving a vanishing dust trail. Tetris growled and turned, trying to find Kari, losing her original target. She threw another knife at Kari, who just caught and dropped it. Tetris suddenly flung her hand at Starfire, who disappeared.

"NO!" I lunged for Tetris. Tetris laughed shortly, grating against her melodic voice, while dodging.

"Come and get her, Robin. We'll be waiting." Tetris vanished as I raised my bo staff and swiped at where she had been. I landed on the concrete hard, but I didn't care. I slammed my fist down in rage.

"Teleportation traced. Location found. Slade Wilson's hideout discovered," announced the computer. Normally, I would have smiled, but it was Starfire's disappearance that had allowed them to trace it, so my mouth only twitched. There would be no smiles, no joy until I saved Star. Ashley's voice came over the speaker.

"We have a link on Tetris. Whenever she teleports something, we'll know what and where. All the ones who fell in battle, or are wounded, please come down to the infirmary and med rooms immediately. If you are able, please team up and grab a stretcher from the object elevators located beside the main elevators. Those on infirmary duty, get down to the med rooms. After the rooftop has been cleared, the ones with no duties to the wounded and fallen may return to your regular duties. Robin, go to the med room as well. Mary will make sure you get there. We will all meet later in the Meeting Hall. Thank you." The intercom clicked off.

"Come on, I know you won't go on your own accord." Catrina dragged me by my unwounded arm to the Infirmary Elevator, which went directly to the Infirmary, and pushed me in gently. Mary stepped in after me. I didn't resist. Right now, I had no will to resist, against them. I soon would be released upon the ones who held Star. And I would hunt them down like a hellhound sent straight from Hades.

Those were my last thoughts as I collapsed from shock and loss of blood. I heard someone's voice- Mary's? as I blacked out.

"Where's General Akihiko Juro?!" Someone called in the distance. I was too far out to identify the voice.

"He's MIA! We found a teleportation trace with Aki-" I blacked out all the way. I was no longer aware of the people struggling to pull me up.
