Chapter 4: The Meeting

Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, except for the ones I created myself. Love you guys and gals! Hope you like it!!! :) All characters not owned by me are expressions of the views of the authoress and my team of main OCs. (Rose, Mary, Justin, Burnette, William, Catrina, and, of course, my main character crew!!! Alex, Jordan, and Ashley!)

Robin's POV

I was suddenly on a solid floor again.  Star offered her hand and I took it and she pulled me up. I looked around. We were in a meeting room overlooking the ocean. There were several heroes, and a bunch of kids as well. Catrina, Mary, Burnette, William, some other foxes, a group of kids with a hawk and a really bizzare alien animal that looked like a blue centaur with stalk eyes and a long tail with a curved, scythe-like blade at the end, Clark, Diana, Bruce, Selina, and a few others. There was also a tall male mouse dressed in a homespun tunic with a black leather belt that had a black leather scabbard holding a magnificent sword with a red pommell stone hilt, and he had a pretty female mouse next to him. They were like humans, but they were mice. Ashley pulled two seats from the table.

"Here, you two can sit here." She pulled out three more chairs and she sat down. Alex and Jordan sat down on either side of her. "Okay, you guys wanna introduce yourself?"

The warrior mouse, who was standing by his chair next to the female mouse, raised his paw as he sat. "I'm Martin the Warrior, son of Mattimeo the Warrior. This is my wife, Laterose." He said, gesturing towards the female mouse. He had a strong voice and the look in his eyes warned enemies not to mess with him.

"You can call me Rose, though. Pleased to meet you." Rose said. She had a gentle melodic voice.

"Zis is my husband, Justin, my fazer, Robin Hood, my mozer, Meralyn, and my tvin brozer, Rob." Mary said, pointing to each fox in turn. A blonde-haired boy from the group of kids and aliens who looked in charge spoke next.

"I'm Jake. We're the Animorphs. This is my cousin, Rachel (pointing to a tall willowy blonde girl), my girlfriend, Cassie (pointing to a slightly shorter black girl), my best friend, Marco (pointing to a short Latino boy), Aximilli Esgarrouth Isthill, Ax for short (pointing to the male alien), his wife, Rebekka (pointing to the female alien), and our good friend, Tobias (pointing to the hawk).

      <I'm a red-tailed hawk,> said Tobias. <But I'm also part Andalite and part human.>

<I am an Andalite. And in Earth terms, I am Tobias's uncle.> Ax said. <Tobias is my shorm.> (Means 'tail-blade' in Andalite, and Ax's explanation is "if your shorm put his tail blade against your throat, you wouldn't even worry")

"Okay. Nice meeting you and your... uh... friends." I said. "I'm Robin and this is Starfire."

"Do you all wish to be my friends?" Star asked.

"Yeah." "Sure." "I guess." <Yeah.> <Yes.> "Of course."

"Yay!" Starfire flew about the room, hugging everyone, even the aliens, uh, Andalites. She patted Tobias. She sat back down. "Please, proceed." Star sat back and smiled as if nothing had happened.

"Okay. Everyone remember what we talked about?" Catrina asked. Everyone nodded, except Tobias, who said, <Yeah.>

"All in favor?" Catrina raised her hand. Everyone did likewise. Even Tobias, who raised a wing. Whatever it was, it was going through. "Okay! You are all dismissed." Catrina walked out. The others dispersed. Jake came up, his team following.

"Nice to meet you guys." Jake said.

"Likewise. Hey, Tobias, why are you a hawk, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked.

<Long story short, we can morph into any animal we touch using Andalite technology, known as the Escafil device. There's a two-hour time limit, and we have to morph back to our original form before morphing into another animal. We are vulnerable when morphing, and if we don't demorph before the 2-hour time limit... you end up like me. A nothlit. It means I'm trapped in this morph. It's my original form now. It's not bad being a hawk, though. It's kind of fun, and I have the sky. Thanks to a weird dude called "The Ellimist," I can morph again.>

"Wow. Sounds complicated." I said. Ax spoke to Starfire.

<You are a Tamaranian, are you not?> Ax asked.

"Yes." Star replied. "It is nice to finally meet an Andalite."

"It is complicated." Jake agreed. "Well, we have to go. Bye." Jake walked away. The others waved goodbye to us and left with him. Star turned to me.

"Friend Tobias is... trapped. He is trapped within himself." She sounded shocked. I put an arm around her to comfort her. She put her head on my shoulder.

"Yeah. I guess he is." I said.

"He's really brave, you know." Ashley said. "He doesn't deserve to be trapped." I nodded. "Time for Base 2." The room spun again. I only fell to my knees this time, but Star was brought down with me. I stood, carefully bringing Star up with me. I looked around. It looked like a house. I led Star over to a sofa and sat her down.

"This is Base 2?" I asked.

"Yeah. It was actually the first Base, but it isn't what you want for headquarters. This was back in Memphis, which is why it's here, in Memphis, Tennessee. It would be too crowded. But, it's quite cozy. Alex and Jordan went to Base 1, but they'll join us later. I'll be right back. I have to get something." Ashley walked off.

Starfire's POV

After Ashley walked away, I stood up and walked around Base 2 was very nice. It was small, and looked like a home. I noticed a movement in a small room beside the couch. I opened the white glass-paned door by turning the simple gold mechanism located to the right of the center. The room had a computer on a wooden desk to the right, and the left had cardboard storage containers. But that isn't what had commanded my attention. The walls seemed to move. I ventured closer and noticed the figures dancing across it. I stood still and watched them.

People, or at least their shadows, acted out their lives. Large tigers ran across dark plains littered with human houses. Lightning clashed, and the scene changed and I saw a horrible sight. Tree stumps were everwhere, where a great forest as old as time had once stood, and human, Nabicows, Nabiwolf, Nabican horses, even dragon and a few Nabican carcasses were strewn all over the ground. In the center of the grisly scene stood Slade. A dark dragon flew in circles above him, blowing fire and roaring. I began to recognize the area. It was the Tawaiian forest. Slade wanted to invade Tawaii. If he could control it, he could destroy the world. What he did not understand was that Tawaiians would die instead of serve anyone but their Empress Ashley, Emperor Jake, Princess Rose, and Prince Jake Jr. An angry voice rang out from behind me and I jumped slightly.

"Do you see why I do what I do and spend all my time doing this? Slade. See here, he's laughing. This is just the beginning of what he would do. This is entertaining to him. That black dragon soaring around the sky is the evil guardian twin of the two protectors. You see, he killed his brother, that's his body right there. Slade split them. Turned one against the other. Our job is to keep the villains from gathering to Slade, or gathering at all. We have to stop this from happening. This is the Great War everyone is talking about. Gifted young humans write of it all the time on websites that allow them to publish their own books." [Bet you know what this brilliant website/app is ^-^] The red light from the wall cast over her grim expression.

"Yes." I said quietly. "How could this happen? How is this possible? I believed it was impossible to destroy a dragon, let alone a Nabican."

"Well, this is Slade here. Evil jerk. He probably manipulated our immortal guardian dragons and got the evil one, Malcar, to kill his brother, Jaskar, using ways known only to them. No one knows how to kill an immortal except for a select few and the immortals themselves. Like he manipulated Terra here." She stepped out of the doorway and Terra entered. "Terra learned the truth and resisted. She is good to go and will never be tricked again."

"Miss me?" I squealed and hugged her.

      "How did you-"

"Long story short, I reversed the effect with an old Nabican potion. Terra's essence was trapped in the stone, so she was only frozen in time, which basically means, in today's terms, she was paused. It was a simple matter of a few carbon reactions, a little pinch of old Nabican medical potions, and a little of my power, and poof! She's in motion!" Ashley smiled brightly and a nearby cardboard container (box) combusted. Ashley waved her hand and it dissolved into ashes. "Hehe... Sorry." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. "This human form can't really handle Nabican power. It gets away sometimes. Thank goodness it wasn't one of you. I would have had to extract your essence from the ashes and... It doesn't matter."

"This bracelet helps hold a lot of my power." Terra said, showing me a black bracelet with a crescent-shaped red gem on her right wrist. "It doesn't break or come off unless I want it to. It doesn't engrain in my skin and control me like... well, you know..." I nodded. Slade had manipulated Terra into wearing an outfit that had engrained into her nervous system and Slade had used it to control her. [A/N: Watch "Aftershock Part 1 and 2" It's 2 parts and it's really intense.]

"Ummm... how did Terra get here, what's on the walls, and why are there ashes on the floor?" Robin walked in with his arms crossed.

Terra's POV

"Hey Robin! Ashley used some sort of old Nabican potion and reversed the effect, but Ashley can explain better, this is the future room, and that box burned." I said. Robin looked as if he was going to ask more questions, but Ashley told him how she unfroze me, long version. You know, science science blah blah blah potions science science power science, and so on. I turned to Star.

"So, how have you guys been getting along?" I asked.

"We have been most unhappy about your misfortune, but we have been doing well." Starfire replied.

"I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about you and Robin. But I'm glad the team's doing well." I was dying to know how Beast Boy was doing, but truthfully, I've been hanging out with a guy from MA named Hunter. His mother is Green Lantern's sister, and his dad is Red X, but that's a secret. Nobody else knows but Ashley and the Council, and of course his family. He told me a few days after we met and I told him my story. He showed me the ropes of living at MA. He's really good at tracking, uses a bow sometimes, and his dad gives him technology every once and a while. His mom wanted him to be a hero, and Red X didn't mind. Red X would do anything for his family.

"Oh, we are doing... fine. Perhaps better... He has... well, I cannot say. It is very good, though. Beast Boy and Raven are no longer disliking each other. Raven is smiling slightly at Beast Boy's jokes." Starfire played with a ring on her left hand. She took it off and put it in her pocket. I raised my eyebrow, but I didn't say anything about it.

"That's good. It's okay, I met a guy named Hunter. He's good at hunting down villains. His mom is Green Lantern's sister." I said, careful not to betray Hunter. I am determined to never betray anybody again. Especially to bad guys. Starfire nodded.

      "That's good."

"Okay guys. Do you want to go back now? I don't want you to miss your movie." Ashley said.

      "Yeah." Robin said.

"What are we going to watch?" I asked.

"I don't know. I guess we'll find out when we get there." Robin replied, shrugging.

"I'm fine with that. Can I bring a friend?" I asked.

       "Who?"

"Hunter. He's one of the Young Officers at MA."

"Okay. Get him to meet us at Malco. You know where that is?"

      "Yes. Thanks Robin."

"No problem." He walked out, and the others followed him. I called Hunter and asked him to come. He agreed, and said he'd come on his pegasus and he'd bring mine too. I smiled as I walked out. I finally found my place. And it wasn't serving a criminal. Or Slade.

A/N: Will write Chapter 5! Don't worry, I won't drop it. I'll keep updating! I'm already writing on Chap. 5!
