Chris came up next to me and took my hand in his,

" You sure we can win this?" he asked,

" Positive. I have skills that match two of their best hunters plus I can turn invisible and create moonlight distractions." I said, we talked a little and when we got near the range I noticed that there were more targets than usual all attached to a their own metal bodies I guess you would call them. The bodies were either tall, short, or medium in height and they each had wheels. There were also metal arms with logs beside them.

" Uhhh, what's with the setup?" I asked, Chris explained that to challenge me, he had asked Leo, one of Ruby's siblings, to set up an archery range so hard even the Apollo kids have trouble. The targets move in any random order, and the arms throw logs, in no real order, that I need to dodge.

" Okay, sounds hard." I said, smiling, " This is gonna be awesome!"

" I thought you would say that," Chris said, I willed my new bow and quiver to appear, and they did as soon as I thought it, and slipped by bow off my back.

" I'm going to set it up. Luckily it has a twenty second countdown so I should be able to clear out before you start shooting and logs start flying." Chris said,

" Good." I replied, now being wolfblood I have much better hearing than most people, and I could hear footsteps. I saw the other campers coming in behind them. Leo told them something and they stopped.

" I'm guessing you want me to put it as difficult for you a possible." Chris said, I nodded. He pushed a few buttons on a panel that was on the side of a large metal post, turned and ran as large green numbers glowed above one of the targets. 20, 19, 18, 17 etc. I took a deep breath, and as the numbers disappeared raised my bow with incredible speed, knocked an arrow and shot the one of the targets. Bullseye. The targets began to move at speeds only I could see and logs were thrown. I had to jump and dodge as I knocked arrow after arrow each target stopping as I hit them. There were so many logs and almost as many targets. After about ten minutes all the targets had stopped and logs weren't being thrown anymore. I looked at the targets and saw that I had hit each one dead center. I was impressed with myself. I turned towards the crowd of people and their faces made me laugh. They were each standing there with their jaws dropped. I walked over to Chris who was standing quite near them.

" Are you sure you put it at maximum difficulty? It just seemed too easy." And I wasn't boasting, it really was too easy for someone with my abilities. In other words able to run faster than the speed of sound. They could tell I wasn't bragging either. They looked at each other wondering the same thing. 'we are actually going to be able to beat them." I could tell because I can read minds. Anyway...

the next day I was excited. Capture the flag was today and I was hoping to be placed on offense. When the time finally came Chris said he spoke with Annabeth, who was going to captain, and she said that I could be offense. I smiled and went to find her. She was talking to the other campers and I waved her over,

" What's up?" she asked,

" Is it possible that I go on ahead of the others, I can trick them." I said, she thought for a moment,

" Yeah, that's actually a really good idea." she said, she told this to the others and they nodded,

" Just stay a safe distance away so if it goes wrong I can do the straight up fighting," I said, looking at Annabeth, I said something else telepathically, " Far enough so the non-wolfbloods don't see the distractions I create." she nodded, when the game started, the others let me go in front and we headed towards the hunter's flag, when I could see the flag, the same as my cabin flag, I gave a hand motion and pointed at a set of bushes. There were about half of the hunters guarding the flag bows drawn. My teammates hid behind the bushes swords and bows drawn. Luckily the moon was out so that was going to make my job alot easier. I concentrated and caused some moonlight campers to appear. I made them move into the camp, the hunters shot at them, but I moved the figures so that they missed, I made the figures run away, but the hunters stayed put. I decided to straight up fight. I willed my bow and quiver to come to me, and when they did, I raised my bow, nocked an arrow and shot at a nearby tree. The hunters raised their bows and shot at me, I dodged into the clearing and shot arrows at them. I used tranquilizer arrows. I hit one in the arm, another in the leg, and others in various parts of the body. They collapsed. I motioned for the others to come and they came running. I grabbed the flag and gave it to one of the other campers.

" Run!" I exclaimed, we ran through the woods. I had my bow raised and shot arrows at any hunter who appeared. We crossed to creek. Horns sounded, and the entire camp cheered. Annabeth began to protest that it wasn't her plan at all that helped us win, The hunters who had woken up had arrived by now,

" It was all Alyssa, her idea is what caused us to win, what did you do anyway?"

" I shot arrows when my distraction failed and well the rest of the offense can take it from there." I said, the hunters looked at each other like they couldn't believe they had lost and Thalia came up with her two gold drachmas.

" You play a mean game, Alyssa," she said as I took the drachmas,

" Thanks. Back at you." I replied, we celebrated, I was dubbed the 'hero' and we had fun, I didn't know how short my happiness would last...
