3rd Person

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a king and queen. They were loved by all their subjects, and they made wise choices. They kept their kingdom in order.

Now, the queen was pregnant. She was very happy to have someone take her place when she would grow old, and was excited to have a little bundle of joy running around the large, silent castle, making it more lively. But that never happened.

After she gave birth, she grew exhausted. The baby girl would not stop crying.

A few months later, and the little ball of excitement simply disappeared. The king and queen sent out search parties to find their missing princess, but to no avail. Reports came back as the trail went cold when it reached the ocean. The king was sure it was the squids, and vowed revenge.

*thirteen years later*

SkyDoesMinecraft's POV

I was taking my morning stroll when a guard ran up to me.

"General! Reports of a girl turning up beside a pond have reached me!" he panted.

"Thank you, Officer Nars." I replied, and the I turned to go back into the castle.

Rose Darkwood's POV (a few minutes before)

I ran my finger over the words a couple more times, finally getting what the squids were planning to do to me. I was a machine to them, something they could control. I decided not to let them do it to me, and I punched a hole in the wall. I made it big enough I could get out and I headed for one of the many portals that led to the outside world, not the vast squid dimension I was stuck in. I appeared next to a pond, where I stood and was faced with multiple swords.

"GET BACK!" I shouted in Squidian, the only language I knew how to speak.

"Who are you?!" one of the things holding the swords asked in Minecraftian. "What do you want?!"

"Go get the general!" a different thing ordered. Yet another one ran off. The remaining two held swords up to my throat.

The thing came back with another one behind it, this one not as shiny as the three.

"Has she said anything?" the newcomer asked.

"I can understand you!" I yelled in squidian again. "I can't speak your language!"

"Wait...you speak the language of the squids?" the new thing asked again. "No wonder they couldn't understand you!"

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"I am the only one who can hear what you're saying. Obviously you can, as well."

"General, what is she talking about?" one thing, still holding the sword, wondered.

"She's telling me about herself." the thing replied.

"Forgive me. I am Rose Darkwood, a squid prisoner." I introduced.

"I am SkythekidRS, but you shall refer to me as General Sky or just General."

"Pardon my rudeness, but what species are you?"

"We are minecrafters, as are you, except you were raised as a squid, as it seems."

"General?" one 'minecrafter' questioned. "Should we arrest her?"

"No. I believe she will come freely." General Sky stated. I nodded in response. "Alright. You three get back to patrolling. Rose Darkwood, come with me." I followed him away from the pond, sighing once I knew we weren't going back. As we walked farther away, an itching started on my shoulder blades. After a while longer, two yellow wings sprouted from them, making me yelp in pain. General Sky stopped, and came towards me.

"NO! DON'T TOUCH ME!" I growled, my old ways coming out. General Sky backed away from me a step, and I felt something hit me in the back. I fell to the ground, my vision growing dark. The last thing I saw was the General pulling out a golden sword and two blue squids heading towards him.

A/N Took me a while to write this. Gotta get some sleep. Eat chocolate, smell roses, and kill squids! I'll see you next time! *salutes*
