Jack's POV

A layer of snow dusted my shoulders, but I hardly felt the cold. The rest of the mourners had already left, leaving me alone in front of the freshly filled grave. A headstone made of white marble stood over it. No matter how many times I read the words on it, I couldn't believe it was true.

A white puppy sniffled in my arms, complaining at the cold. I stoked his head, reminding myself that it wasn't just about me. I had Olaf to look after. Olaf, Elsa's small white puppy.

"Commander Frost?" a hesitant voice asked from behind. I turned.

Anna, Elsa's younger sister, stood a short distance away. Kristoff stood beside her, looking at the grave solemnly. Both were dressed in black, but Anna carried a blue rose pin. A gift from Emperor Shino in order to honor Elsa's sacrifice.

"I just wanted to say thanks," Anna continued. "For not killing Elsa when you found out the truth."

"How could I?" I asked, stroking Olaf. "Will you be alright?"

While Elsa had been at war, both of her parents had died. Now Anna was alone.

"Yes, I'll be living with some family friends. And I've got Kristoff, so things will be fine."

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell me," I said. Anna nodded. She and Kristoff walked back through the gravestones and were soon taken out of sight. I turned back to Elsa's grave.

"Anna and Kristoff are back together, which I think is great," I told her. "And I'll watch Olaf, just like I promised. You changed the world. Emperor Shino formed the ES, which is a special archery unit that can have both men and women, but it only accepts volunteers. ES actually stands for Eagle Soldiers, but I'll always remember it as you. I wish I could have saved you. General Hawk says there was nothing I could do. But I'll forever honor your sacrifice, Elsa Snow."

Taking a deep breath and steadying myself, I turned and walked back through the gravestones.
