Him and Sunset were giving the Dazzlings a tour around the school while he kept an eye on the Dazzlings.

Kevin: 'Who are they exactly? If they have magic then why come here to CHS? Did they hear of rumours about the Fall Formal with magic being here?' He thought.

Sunset Shimmer: "That's the science lab. Computer lab is in there." She tells the new girls until she sees a poster about the musical showcase. "We're having a big musical showcase this weekend. The whole school is pretty much rallying around it."

Adagio Dazzle: "A musical showcase?" She says with interest and look at the other two girls who grin.

Kevin: "Are you interested? If you know how to sing and play music then why don't you sign up?"

Sunset Shimmer: "I'm sure since you're new, Principal Celestia will let you sign up."

Aria Blaze: "We have been known to sing from time to time."

Sonata Dusk: "Hello? We sing like all the time. It's how we get people to do what we want." She blurts out which makes Adagio makes a silent motion across her neck while he and Sunset look at Sonata. "Wha-What did I say?"

Adagio Dazzle: "What you meant to say that being in a musical showcase sounds like a great way to meet other students." She said to Sonata.

Sonata Dusk: "Ohhhh, yeah. Th-What she said I meant to say. That's what I meant. To say." She said which made Aria scoff.

Aria Blaze: "And what you would have said if you weren't the worst." She insulted Sonata.

Sonata Dusk: "No you are!" She said back.

Adagio Dazzle: "You have to excuse them. They're idiots." She quickly jumped in which made Aria and Sonata grunt.

This leads to an awkward moment of silence until Sunset notices their ruby pendants.

Sunset Shimmer: "Those are pretty. There just like mine and Kevin." She asks.

Adagio Dazzle: "Wait what do you mean like yours and this guy." She said in confuse.

She and Kevin shows the Dazzlings there pendants.

Sonata Dusk: "Hey they look like ours but it has animals in it."

Adagio Dazzle: "We're did you get those necklaces." She asked.

Kevin: "I did." He said to the Dazzlings  with in shock.

Adagio Dazzle: "You did where did you buy them."

Kevin: "Is a secret." He said.

Sunset Shimmer: "Yeah it's a secret but where did you-" She asks as she also grabs Adagio's pendant.

But Adagio reacts and grabs Sunset's wrist who then realizes what she did and let's go of Sunset's wrist and laugh a little nervously.

Adagio Dazzle: "Sorry about that. These pendants mean an awful lot to us. We'd just hate for anything to happen to them." She explained.

Kevin: "They must be really important to you." He said and the Dazzlings look down a little sad.

Adagio Dazzle: "Yeah...they really are." She said before getting a serious look on her face. "Anyway we better go. We're going to the Principal's Office and sign up for the musical showcase." She said walks off and the other two girls follow her. "Girls...that Kevin guy...there's something about him." She tells them.

Aria Blaze: "What are you talking about Adagio?"

Adagio Dazzle: "Didn't you sense it? He might have magic." She tells them which surprises them.

Sonata Dusk: "Really?! What kind of magic?"

Adagio Dazzle: "I don't know, it wasn't Equestrian magic that's for sure."

Aria Blaze: "So what kind of magic do you think it is?"

Adagio Dazzle: "I don't know but Kevin's magic, it's something else."

Later at lunchtime, him and Sunset arrived at the cafeteria and join up with the Rainbooms and Sunshine at a table as they were having lunch.

Applejack: "So how was the tour you two?" She asked.

Sunset Shimmer: "I don't know. I mean these girls, they were...there was something off about them." She said.

Pinkie Pie: "Like, off like this?" She said and used a part of her puffy hair to make a beard. "Or off like this?" She said and put two carrots in her mouth to make fangs and put lettuce leaves on her eyebrow. "Or, or like..."

Rainbow Dash: "Maybe we should just  let her tell us." She jumped in.

Sunshine: "That's just it. I can't put my finger on it. They just acted sort of strange around me." She explained before gaining a sad look. "Maybe someone already talked to them. Told them about what I did." She said sadly  before sighing. "So much for making a  good first impression." She said and put her head down.

Kevin: "I don't think that's it Sunset. When I first saw those girls, I couldn't help but feel unease about them and that's when I sensed it, those three girls have magic." He said which surprised the girls.

Sunshine: "Magic?! Are you sure?"

Kevin: "Yes but the magic they have feels a little dark." He said which made Sunset and Sunshine gasp.

Sunset Shimmer: "If you said their magic feels dark then they might dark magic." She said worried.

Fluttershy: "Is that bad?"

Sunset Shimmer: "Dark magic is can be used for good or bad but it's worse in the wrong hands."

Rarity: "What do you think think they'll do with their magic?"

Kevin: "I don't know but let's hope they don't anything foolish."

Fluttershy: "So does this mean some magic stuff is going to happen around CHS again?"

Kevin: "I don't know but if it does, let's  hope things don't get out of control."

Outside the cafeteria are the Dazzlings who have a plan.

Adagio Dazzle: "This is it girls. The moment we've been waiting for." She tells the other two girls.

Sonata Dusk: "Lunch?!" She said excited which made Adagio facepalm.

Adagio Dazzle: "No the chance to get our Equestrian magic back."

Sonata Dusk: "Oh. Right."

Adagio Dazzle: "Our voice are just strong enough to make them want something so badly, they'll fight to get it." She explained with a smirk to the other two girls.

Aria Blaze: "So we're just gonna do what we always do? Stir up some trouble and then feed off the negative energy? Some plan Adagio." She said sarcastically at the end.

Adagio Dazzle: "It won't be the same as the times before. There is Equestrian magic here. Their negative energy will give us the power we need to get this entire world to do our bidding." She said with an evil smirk.

Sonata Dusk: "But we can get lunch after though right? It's Taco Tuesday!" She said excited about lunch.

Adagio Dazzle: "Just follow my lead." She tells Sonata.

Aria Blaze: "Or my lead." She said and Adagio grabbed her by her vest.

Adagio Dazzle: "My lead!" She said and left go of Aria's vest as Sonata snickers.

The Dazzlings opened the cafeteria and began to sing which gained everyone's attention.

Soon after the singing stopped, all the students in the cafeteria were arguing except for the Dazzlings whose pendants absorb the green mist while he and the Rainbooms weren't affect by the Dazzling's song.

Pinkie Pie: Ohhh. They're that kind of "off"."

Shortly after, he and the Rainbooms were walking through the school where it turns out the Musical Showcase has been changed into an Battle of the Bands.

Sunset Shimmer: "You were right Kevin. Those girls definitely have some sort of dark magic in their possession. How else would you explain what happened back there?"

Applejack: "Don't worry, y'all. We'll let Principal Celestia know about this and  those girls will be kicked to the curb in no time. Last thing she needs is another CHS event almost ruined by  some power-crazed lunatic." She said and soon realized what she and looks at Sunset who doesn't have an amused look. "Er, no offense." She apologizes to Sunset who just sighs.

Sunset Shimmer: "None taken."

Kevin: 'Will it really be that simple?' He thought.

He and the girls were in the Principal's Office and told Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna everything about the new girls and their possession of dark magic which they used to make all the students turn on each other for the Battle of the Bands but was one problem...

Principal Celestia: "Dark magic? I find that very hard to believe. Those girls came into my office earlier and were an absolute delightful." She said clearly not believing what you and your friends told her.

Kevin: 'What?! They don't find anything we said suspicious. Something's not right.' He thought.

Vice Principal Luna: "Perhaps Sunset Shimmer is just eager to make someone else out to be a bad element so that her actions at the Fall Formal will become old news."

Sunset Shimmer: "I could see why you  might think that but-" She started to say as she runs the back of her neck.

Rainbow Dash: "That's not what happened!" She jumped in. "We all saw what went down at the cafeteria too." She says but the principal and vice principal aren't amused.

Principal Celestia: "Yes but isn't your band supposed to be of the musical showcase?" She questioned Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash: "Yes."

Vice Principal Luna: "Perhaps you're all just worried that the Dazzlings will steal your spotlight."

Applejack: "The Dazzlings?"

Principal Celestia: "It's the name of their musical group. That's why they came by my office earlier, to sign up for the showcase. They even sang a little song to Vice Principal Luna and I." She said which gained his attention.

Kevin: "They did?"

Principal Celestia: "Yes and we having a Battle of the Bands instead is a marvellous idea." She said and her eyes glow green along with her sister which he and the Rainbooms notice.

Kevin: 'Oh no! They got to them.' He thought worried.

He and the Rainbooms were now outside, hanging at the school statue/portal.

Fluttershy: "I can't believe they got to Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna too."

Rainbow Dash: "They've gotten to everybody."

Pinkie Pie: "Not everybody!"

Applejack: "Pinkie's right! We were there when the Dazzlings were singin' and we weren't affected. It was like we were protected somehow."

Kevin: "I think my powers protected me from the Dazzlings spell and for you girls, I think all six of you might have some magic inside of you from Twilight's crown from the Fall Formal incident."

Rarity: "So your saying that we have magic inside us and it protected us from the Dazzlings spell?"

Kevin: "Most likely."

Rainbow Dash: "Then let's go kick the Dazzling's butts. It's not like we tangled dark magic before and totally whooped it's sorry butt." She said and soon realize what she said as Sunset has an unamused look on her face. "Uh, no offense." She apologized as Sunset sighs.

Sunset Shimmer: "None taken. Again."

Sunshine: "Me too."

Fluttershy: "But that was when Twilight was here. There may be some kind of magic inside us, but it only comes out when we play music. I sure don't know how to use it to...whoop anybody's butt."

Rarity: "If only we could get a message to Twilight. Maybe she could tell us how to break the spell the Dazzlings have cast on our friends."

Rainbow Dash: "Well that's not gonna happen. The portal's closed." She said and then she looked at him. "Say Kev, can't you break everyone out of the Dazzling's spell with your powers?"

Kevin: "I don't know if I can. I've never dealt with dark magic like this before and I don't think they have phones in Equestria because if they did, we would be able to talk to Twilight about this problem."

Sunset Shimmer: "I may have an idea on how we can get in touch with Princess Twilight!" She said with a smile which gains everyone's attention.

He and the Rainbooms went back into the school and Sunset goes through her locker until she takes out a book with Sunset's symbol on the cover.

Sunset Shimmer: "When I was Princess Celestia's student back in Equestria, she gave me this." She said as she wipes dust off the cover. "Even after I abandoned my studies, I held onto it. Deep down, I guess I knew I was making a big mistake, and I wanted to still have a way to reach out to her." She said and opened the book and went through the pages until she made it to some blank pages.  "Maybe it still works."

Rarity: "That's a book darling. What do you mean "maybe it still works"?" She asked.

Kevin: "Rarity, it might be an magic book if it's from Equestria." He pointed out.

Sunset Shimmer: "Kevin is right about this book. It used to be that if I wrote something here, it would appear in the pages of a book back in Princess Celestia's library. If I write down a book back in Princess Celestia's library. If I write down a message that explains what's happening here with Dazzlings into this book, Princess Celestia can send the message to Princess Twilight." She explained.

Rainbow Dash: "So what are you waiting for? Get to writing." She said and took out a pen for Sunset had a nervous look on her face.

Kevin: "Don't worry Sunset, you got this." He reassure her which made her  smile a little.

Sunshine: "Yeah you can do it Sunset." She said with a smile.

Sunset Shimmer: "It's been a long time since I've written these words." She said said and began to write in her book. "Dear Princess Celestia..."
