News, plans, and one last fanfic
I know it has been months since the last update, which is quite common for me nowadays. Life has been really busy for me.
I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I don't think I can continue to write for this book.
Which is a shame, because I loved writing this book. By far my favourite hermitcraft works in wattpad. But again, life has has brought me some unexpected changes. I will talk about this more on another date.
So yeah, I'm not writing anymore.
[If you scroll down for a bit, there is one more little fanfic I made.]
But will the daycare book still continue?
Actually, that depends. Who's interested in continuing this AU for themselves? 👀
If anyone is willing to continue this AU for me, then you have my permission. This AU was always free for everyone, but I guess I can make this a bit more official.
Anyone can use this AU, whether it be a one-shot or a part 2 of this book.
Go nuts. :)
But anyways, since I'm no longer writing this, I guess I can actually show you my unfinished plans for this book. Use it if you like:

• This is for the previous chapter. After Zed's outburst, both Beef and Doc decided to talk to him in private. They discuss about what they're going to do next.
Will they continue with their plan to bring back the adult hermits or keep them as kids?
Obviously they choose to bring back the adult hermits, but this doesn't mean that they aren't completely happy with the plan.
Zed confesses about how guilty he felt to be one of the causes of this situation. Hadn't he told Tango about his baby zombie plans, none of this emotionally complicated stuff would have ever happen. So he's been overworking himself.
Doc and Beef also confess on how they feel about the situation. Yes, they love their friends, but they have since grown too attached to the young hermits. Everyone has. So they purposely had not been putting too much effort on the machine to stall some time. But they did not have the heart to completely sabotage the plan.
The chapter ends with the both Zedaph and Renbob apologising to each other for what happened the other night.
[ Even though it was Ex and young Hels who spilled the milk. Lol]

• Okay. Let's bring back the fluff again. The kids finally enjoy their new outside daycare. [It's basically spawn.]
They have a garden and a nice little hut, with a fence surrounding the place. Now the kids can properly play outside!
Cue lots of gardening shenanigans;
- Young Cub and Etho keep stealing the carrots.
- Doom the chicken and Mrs. Chicken keep eating their seeds.
- Young Joe is trying to reason with Auntie Cleo on why beetroots are important?
- Young Ren and young False are trying to make a roleplay out of it, as usual. Gem is role-playing as a carrot. Don't question it.
- Young XB denies planting. He wants fish.
- Young Mumbo FINALLY got his potato phase.
- Doom the chicken and Mrs. Chicken made a baby. [Laid an egg.]
Everyone rejoice!
The chapter ends with young Jevin realising that he's going to be an uncle/godfather.

[This one is very cruel of me to put after announcing that Doom is going to be a chicken dad.]
• Okay yes. I was actually going to kill off Doom the chicken. I brought him to existence just to kill him off. I'm sorry-
I was going to teach young Jevin about the tragic beauty of life and death. He's a bit too young to know this kind of dark stuff? Yep. But he witnessed the chicken's death, so Hypno really had no choice but explain it to him.
This brings back the old message that Cleo told young Joe many chapters ago; Even if our loved ones a far away, we can always remember the happy times we had with them.
It ends with a mini funeral for Doom the chicken with lots of kids crying and comforting each other.

• Unfortunately I was unable to fully flesh out Ex and young Hels' arc, but I did have some vague ideas.
Cue a few chapters of them bonding [along with Renbob and young Gemini] till the dramatic part of their arc.
During their trip to the nether, Ex finds out about Hels' strange fear for the nether. But in the worse way possible, because Hels just books it, running away to who knows where out of blind panic.
Ex struggles to find him and starts to worry. After almost a whole day of searching for Hels, Ex begrudgingly decides to ask help from Renbob.
But oops, looks like the hermits found out about Ex and decide to interrogate him for bit. Cue a lot of back and forth arguments till Ex finally confessed that he needs help looking for young Hels.
And eventually they do. [You can choose where they found him.]
It is then revealed that Hels was turned into a kid while he was in the nether. He lived in the nether a couple of weeks, alone and terrified of this fiery hell, as a KID. This gave young Hels a pure hatred/fear of the nether.
The day Ex found young Hels was the same day young Hels found a way to finally escape the nether.
The chapter ends with Ex just comforting the kid as young Hels sobs in his arms.

• Here is more Ex and young Hels shenanigans after the previous angsty one. Lol
Cue the hermits realising that Ex just got domesticated. Lol. Because of young Hels, they unfortunately decided to allow Ex to hang around for a bit. A BIT.
[Also Wels is conflicted. Lmao]
No one is exactly happy about this situation except for the kids and Renbob. And when I mean kids, I most ESPECIALLY mean young Xisuma.
Young Xisuma: * looks at Ex*
Ex:....
Young Xisuma: You look like me.
Ex: Yes..
Young Xisuma: *hugs his leg* We are now brothers.
Ex: Wha-
Ex then realises that despite being turned into a child, Xisuma hasn't changed one bit when it comes to accepting his weird, scary, evil counterpart.
Young Hels may or may not be jealous. Lmao
The whole chapter just ends with the kids jokingly replacing Doc and Grian with Ex as their new cool uncle.
[Okay. The chapter genuinely ends with Ex reassuring young Hels that he's less annoying than the other kids, so he ain't replacing him anytime soon. Young Hels is happy.]

• So does anyone remember the fact that young Bdubs and young Scar had a fight many chapters ago? Yeah, I'm about to give it a resolution.
It is now young Scar's POV.
From the very first day, young Scar was angry at Bdubs for not listening to him. He just wanted to make the roleplay perfect. So the two just ignore each other now.
But a few weeks passed by, and Scar starts thinking if it really was Bdubs' fault that they're not friends. Because now that he thinks about it, maybe he was a bit too bossy with him.
[He realises this through the funny events of young Ren being a dramatically bossy King during a roleplay.]
So young Scar asks uncle Grian for help on what he should do next.
After talking about his guilt, Grian just tells him about the importance of admitting one's mistakes, apologising for it, and learning from it. That's it.
There is more to it, but I don't know how to explain it.
So Grian brings him and young Ren to uncle Doc's place. Grian leaves Scar to apologise to Bdubs alone. Him and Doc probably listen to a few of their conversations, in case if they do fight again.
But the apology is offscreen for the readers, so no one else was in the room where it happened-
The chapter ends with both young Bdubs and young Scar coming out of the room as friends once again. Young Ren cheers and Doc is already preparing extra dinner.
[But no, the chapter actually ends with Doc and Grian realising that by working together, they can take back their cool uncle title from Ex-]
____________________________________
And then a few filler chapters:
• Young TFC and young Mumbo do the old twin switcheroo again just to mess with everyone. Lol. Young Iskall is their unfortunate victim for most of these switcheroo pranks. [Rest in peace, TFC.]
• Young Jevin becomes the adoptive dad to Mrs. Chicken's egg. [Funny coincidence actually, since Joel just gifted Jevin a CHILD that he and Jimmy MADE for Christmas and it's CANON-]
• Because of young Hels and young Gemini's friendship, this forced Ex and Pearl to actually interact with each other. Maybe her being a new hermit made it a bit easier, but this is the first time in a while that he had a so called "friend" that wasn't Renbob or Xisuma. Lol
I don't know why I see Ex and Pearl getting along, but it's too funny for me. Ex with his no nonesense evil and Pearl sometimes being unhinged.
• I just want more young Hels and young Gemini friendship in general.
While Ex and Pearl could cause havoc together, Hels and Gemini are a bit one sided. Hels makes sure that Gemini will stop abusing her big sister privileges, Gem's just ready to tease the even younger hermits. Lol
Despite all of that, Gem is who Hels sticks to the most. She may be a bit mischievous, but at least she ain't chaotic and loud like the rest of the younger hermits. Cue young False screaming bloody murder-
Your honor, they are best friends.
[Can you tell that I loved writing for Ex and young Hels? Lol]
• This one is a very old idea. One day, young Tango falls under the weather while playing. Cleo tells him to stay put while she calls for Zed. Cue all the young hermits banding together to keep young Tango comfortable while they wait.
Need a place to rest for a bit? Ren and Bdubs toss Tango inside the chest full of costumes as a puffy bed. Everything is too noisy? The young hermits immediately shut up. This is the first time the daycare was ever THIS quiet. Oh, now he's cold? Never fear, self proclaimed brother Impulse is here.
Impulse drags himself inside the chest and gives him a big warm hug. Tango smiles tearfully. Soon enough, a lot of the young hermits surround Tango to give him a warm cuddle pile. Despite the sickness, Tango was able to rest just fine until Zedaph came to pick him up.
The chapter ends with a young sleeping Tango on Zedaph's shoulder while all the young hermits silently bid them farewell, wishing for his swift recovery.
[There was a lack of social distance in this, so cue Tango's cold spreading. Lol]

Okay. Here comes the unfinished plans for the finale.
• Finally, after many MANY months of trying to figure out the machine, Zed, Beef and Doc finally found a way to fix the machine. This meant they had one final week with the young hermits before turning them back.
Feelings were conflicted. They were excited to see the older hermits again, but they were never mentally prepared for the day to say goodbye to the kids.
They decided not to tell the kids what will happen to them.
____________________________________
They tell the kids that they will transfer to a different server again. [As a cover story]
Young Joe, a meaningful kid, was at his limit. He's just so visibly upset with his auntie Cleo at this point. She has never seen the kid full on angry before. Why? Why must they transfer again?!
Filled with guilt, Cleo decides to tell only one truth. She promised that this will be the last time he'll have to keep changing homes.
Which she wasn't wrong.
Young Joe hesitantly accepts that promise till he found himself hugging his auntie. Cleo was clutching the kid, taking the opportunity to spend his last few days here with her by his side.
On the last night, young Joe found Cleo crying outside of her base. Worried for his auntie, Joe silently walks up to her and just gives her a hug. He asks her what's wrong.
Cleo can't say. She did not want to burden the kid, so she tries to convince him that it's nothing. Joe obviously doesn't believe her, but he doesn't know what to do next, so he says this;
"I'm sorry for being upset at you.. You don't want to transfer homes again too? That's okay. We can be sad together."
Goodness, Cleo was going to miss this kid.
The chapter ends with the two sleeping by the entrance of her base.

While it was a permanent plan that the hermits will turn back to adults, there was only one person that can stay as a child.
After more arguments and debate, Ex somehow convinced them to keep Hels as a kid.
Why is Hels still a kid?
This story started in the middle of season 7, during Hels' introduction, so my old take on Hels is a bit different and possibly dark.
Hels was truly just a clone of Wels. A clone that held all of Wels' opposite traits and personality. A clone that only merely existed for like a month until he got turned into a kid.
What good will they get from an evil clone that never had time to progress, when they can just save a good kid that brought much more progress in his life?
Young Hels only existed for like a year, much longer than original Hels. After turning into a kid, Ex and Renbob unintentionally gave Hels a chance to become more than just a clone. He now has a life and the hermits can't take that away.
So yes. Ex keeps a kid.
Hermits are jealous-
[Evil X x Renbob be sailing- /joke]
To make things less messier, Ex decided to bring young Hels on a 1-2 month adventure outside of the server while the hermits our on break. Of course Hels was informed that he might never see his friends again. Hels did not take it well, but he had no choice.
Once they come back, thewill properly explain to the kid what happened to his friends.
The chapter ends with a tearful farewell between Hels and Gem.
[ Next time he sees her, Gem truly becomes big sister. Lol]

• There's nothing too much to say. It's just how it was expected to end.
Zedaph prepares the machine.
The kids are now all in one group. They tell them to close their eyes for a second. The kids are confused but they did it anyway.
As Zedaph starts the machine, one of the hermits say one more thing to the younger hermits. "I love you."
"I love you too auntie/uncle."
And then they disappeared in the bright blinding light.
Familiar faces appear, faces they haven't seen for a year now.
The book finally ends with the hermits tackling the now adult hermits. They are very confused and concerned for the crying hermits in their arms, but they'll comfort them anyways.
" What happened?"
[For a fluffy book, it did have a bittersweet ending. Once an angst writer, always an angst writer I guess. You can come up with your own ending though.]

• Do I know how to properly end Hels and Ex's arc?
Yes actually.
Here is my last fanfic;
The sounds of shuffling and footsteps could be heard from the bedroom next to his. Young Hels peeked his head from the doorframe, observing the evil counterpart walking back and forth with various of items in his arms and stuffing them in the shulker boxes.
Ex's bedroom was fully cleaned up. Chests were emptied and not a single tool was left forgotten on the wooden floor. His room was...clean? And for once he did not scold Ex into cleaning it up? The kid was bouncing of joy.
It looked like all of Ex's stuff were fully packed.
The joy he felt immediately drained. Hels' heart sank.
He must had a weird look on his face because Ex took the time to stop for a moment and stare at him. "What?" Ex asked.
"Are you leaving?" Young Hels asked the dreaded question, with fist clenched so tight that it could leave marks on his palm. Was this it? Shall they finally go their seperate ways. He expected this, yet he was not ready to say goodbye.
Even in his sorrow, Ex still did the same dumb expression that screamed of disbelief. An expression he showed anytime Hels did not know how to minecraft apparently.
"Umm, 'WE' are leaving. Together. In fact, you should be packing yourself."
Relief rushed down his whole body. He must've had an equally dumb expression because Ex started to cackle. " Just so you know, kid, you're stuck with me now. We're not separating anytime soon."
"Yeah.." young Hels sniffled, wiping his unshed tears.
A year has passed since they met and Ex hasn't given up on him just yet. He has tolerated his lack of Minecraft knowledge and taught him. He tolerated his fear of the nether and sticked with him. Despite their bickering, he still has not left him. He should've known that already. Yet why was it so much easier to doubt him?
Maybe those unshed tears finally did shed, because he felt arms wrap around his trembling frame, and a sob was slowly building up from his chest. Hels did not want to cry like a baby again.
But it was a difficult task. He just felt safe in his arms. "Just between you and me," Ex whispered, " you are a lot less annoying than most people I've met, especially that dang hippie."
Young Hels let out a watery chuckle. Ex always used that same joke. Half of it was probably a lie though, he was in fact annoying. He has probably annoyed him with the amount of scolding and strict cleaning schedules he made. But Ex was just as annoying when it came to
his cursed words.
The day he learnt that Ex actually never swears that much, yet only swears around him just to annoy him still brings young Hels THIS close to violence-
But at that moment, those ridiculous thoughts were not a priority. Because despite everything, Ex still cared for him. The evil clone of the server, the menace that only came to mess with the hermits, the lone wolf, became a part of Hels' lonely life.
Young Hels was this close to sobbing like a baby.
But thank God that Ex was here, because he's just about to worsen it! "Let's go on an adventure together." He mumbled.
And the tears were already spilling.
" Outside the hermitcraft server. There are tons of other worlds to terrorise."
"D-Dont do that.." young Hels berated through another watery chuckle. All Ex could do was smirk.
" Fine. Fine. They shall be spared for now."
His chuckles died down and soon he found himself hiccuping his held back sobs. Ex continues to talk as he brought his hand at his back and rubbed circles.
" So we will go on an adventure for maybe just a month or two. Heck, I'm willing to ask that allergen scented idiot to come along.
An adventure with Ex and uncle Renbob did sound like fun.
" Maybe I'll finally introduce you to Badtimes. Bit of a grouch, but he's probably the only sane hermit counterpart. I might let you annoy him for the lols."
All be he could do was shrug from Ex's need to be a meanie again.
" We will ride on his hippie fan and escape from the space jail or whatever adventures that hippie gets up to. Just the three of us."Ex had the fondest look on his face. A very foreign look for the counterpart, but Hels did not complain.
" Together." He ended.
And that broke the dam. Young Hels found himself sobbing uncontrollably, muffling his cries through Ex's red chest piece. He did not care if the chest piece felt cold and metallic through his aching forehead, he just did not want to let go.
Ex only continued to rub circles around his back, pulling his trembling frame closer to his chest.
It was a reasonably attempt to calm him down, but it only made him cry even more. It took almost 10 minutes till his sobbing were reduced to hitching his breath. He could hear Ex sighing as he carefully loosened his grip on his trembling body, bringing him to a proper hug.
Hels has cried like this before. When he ran away from the nether out of blind panic. Ex was also there to comfort him. The difference between the two events was that back then, Hels felt terrified and hopeless.
But now? He felt safe and reassured. Maybe, just maybe, he was no longer alone.
He'd mumble a polite little thank you, if it weren't for his incoherent sobs. The menace that is Ex finally came back after being uncharacteristically soft. " I can't understand a thing you're saying. You just sound like a babling baby."
Through annoyance and determination, he finally remembered how to English. " I-I said thank you. You Meanie.." Hels huffed, wiping his remaining tears vigorously.
Ex grabbed his hand from his face. " Don't do that. That will just make it worse."
And young Hels listened, lowering down his hands. He stared at the evil counterpart for a bit. " I think I know what to call you now."
"Hmm?" Ex raised one brow.
" You're like a brother."
" ..I beg your pardon-"
Hels snickered through his tears as he watched that same dumb expression of disbelief form on his face. " You can be both caring and annoying at the same time. Like a brother or sister. That's what Gem told me."
Ex stares at the kid, dumbfounded, till he finally did a little shrug. "Ehh, fuck it. It's better than uncle. "
Young Hels let out an offended gasp. The hands that grapsed his clothes held tighter now that he started shaking Ex. "Hush!"
But the evil counterpart just rolls his eyes as he snickered. " Now that I think about it, you're like X, but with less chill."
But all Hels could do now was send a quick glare at him before resting his head back on his chest piece. The two fell back to a comfortable silence once again. He was tired, slightly congested, but his mind was clear enough to finally noticed that they were both seated on the cold wooden floor.
Mostly Ex was seated on the floor. He found himself on his lap instead. He didn't mind though.
He owed him a lot. There is not much that a kid can do to repay back everything he did for him, but words can always be a start.
" Thank you, Ex. For taking care of me."
That same fond look formed once again. " Don't thank me yet. We still need to pack your stuff."
" Aww, so you can be a caring big brother after all!"
A flustered Ex let out a scoff, carefully pushing the kid away as he picked himself up from the ground. " You had doubts?"
" Nope."
The day ends with the two self proclaimed brothers bidding farewell to the cave base, with multiple shulker boxes at hand. An excited hippie was found parking his van by the entrance.
He gushed happily about all the worlds and sights he had planned for this trip.
For once, Ex wasn't complaining.
And the 3 of them went off to their adventure. An adventure that Renbob promised since the beginning. He couldn't be any happier.
____________________________________
And that's the very last fanfic.
Rip the hermits. Their counterparts got the happier ending.
But yes. I really did have a lot of plans for this book. I did not even expect my list of unfinished plans to be this long. But unfortunately I truly do not have the time to write it all. I have to stop myself from stressing over the book.
Again, I'm sorry.
Thank you for sticking around for this book! You guys have definitely helped me when it came to transferring to season 7 and 8. I would honestly be lost without your help. Lol. The journey was fun while it lasted. Feel free to make your own continuation for this book.
Also thank you for the comment chains? Lol. This book has too many comment chains and it's insanely funny to me.
So yeah. Peace out. ✌️
