(Long chapter hope you like it!)

It's the first day at high school! I'm really looking forward to make new friends and to read books. I'm a book nerd because I read mostly Harry Potter and Stephen King books that Dan and Phil agreed to give it to me.

"So Maddie do you have your books and notebooks?"
"Yes papa, I have all the things I need for high school." Dan was trying to braid my hair, I'm really impressed that he can do it perfectly. "Thank you Dad." Dan smiles and gave me my bag, I'm using their merch that is the Galaxy backpack.

Phil gave me my lunch and they both hugged me. "Be careful out there, high school is a very big jungle that you can't escape. Well until you graduate and go to university."

"I will study very well dad."

Phil is the one driving me to school, much to Dan's complain of 'Phil might crash into another car'. I just giggled at that memory while Phil is driving I asked him many questions. "Did you have fun in your first day of high school papa?"

"Well yes and no, I don't know why I dyed my hair orange. I looked like Archie from the comics." He said laughing as we talked about his high school life. He made a stop in a parking lot inside of school, I grabbed all my things and said goodbye to Phil. "Good luck on the first day of high school Madison!" I smiled and went into the school halls.

It's so big! The school has rows and rows of lockers, children running around and getting to the auditorium to get their schedule. As I swim in the sea of kids I bumped into someone very familiar.

"Sorry I wasn't looking when I'm going - Madison?"

"Oh my! Hi Xyryl! Long time no see." We both hugged each other, she was one of my friend in elementary school. It was a shocker to me to see her in here. "Man I never thought I would see a familiar face."

"Yeah, so how was your summer?..."

We talked about everything. She even told be she was bisexual. "Since when?" She smiled and told me "Last summer, my parents were really proud that I told them about it and they will support me in anything I would do."

"That is great!"

Xyryl smiled and we went to the auditorium. It was a very important assembly because they talked about school regulations and everything became blurry to me because of the things we have to do and meeting teachers.

As Xyryl and I went in the cafeteria we saw a girl sitting all alone so we went there and look at her. She didn't look up to us from what she was reading. "Uh hi, can we sit beside you?"

"Sure um if you want to."

So Xyryl and I quickly sits down beside the shy girl and asked her name.

"Oh, my name is Addison you can call me Addie."
