░ Chapter Eighteen
After about an hour of talking and walking around, they finally decided to go back. When Jimin said Rem might be looking for him already, Yoongi took the chance.
"Do you want me to give you a ride home?" he asked with a smirk. He knew he couldn't outsmart Jimin. The thief was not stupid. Still, it's funny so he went on and asked.
Jimin raised an eyebrow at the question. "As much as it is romantic to let you do that, Yoongi, I'm not taking you to our hideout."
"Just this once? Please?" he tried again, stifling a laugh at Jimin's cute scandalized reaction when he didn't stop asking.
"Yah, you wish!"
"I'll take you here everyday as an exchange."
Jimin stuck out his tongue before displaying a sulky pout. "Stop it."
Yoongi was laughing again. He just couldn't take Jimin's cute reaction. Jimin should be proud of himself. He was naturally cute and innocent-like but at the same time, he could be seductive and hot when he wanted to.
Yoongi passed Jimin his helmet, which was light blue in color, and grabbed his own. "Where do you want me to bring you then?"
"Back in the basement of the museum is fine," Jimin said, stepping closer to Yoongi.
"Hm, that's smart. You really don't want me near your hideout, huh?"
The younger man shook his head resolutely, making Yoongi want to ruffle his head. He did.
At that moment, Yoongi felt something changed. The atmosphere around them seemed to have shifted into something...else. Jimin was smiling at him, his face so close, as they stared into each other's eyes. Yoongi's hand was still on Jimin's hair, caressing it rather than ruffling this time.
He might regret it later, but Yoongi was too intoxicated by this angel's beautiful eyes. He wondered how many people were able to resist such a beautiful existence because he doubted anyone could. And as he threw all common sense out the window, Yoongi held the younger's chin and kissed him.
The kiss was soft and gentle; just a mere touch of the lips. Jimin's lips felt soft just like how he remembered it. He felt him tilt his head to get a better angle as Jimin went pliant and opened his lips to invite the detective in. Without any need for persuasion, Yoongi delved into the hot waiting cavern of Jimin's mouth.
When their tongues met and started playing with each other, Yoongi felt like the world could end right there and then and he wouldn't care. All that mattered was this man in front of him that made him feel things he had never felt before. Some people say they saw fireworks? Well, this was way better than any fireworks.
The kiss was slow, deep, passionate. It felt like both of them were dragging it out, trying to feel each touch. Trying to remember the moment. It was sweet, so, so sweet. And Yoongi knew that he was trudging a dangerous line.
But he couldn't help it. He was too addicted to Jimin.
He had gone way too far now. He was at a point of no return.
Jimin was the one who broke the kiss, panting as he looked at Yoongi straight in the eyes. He, too, was panting heavily. Neither spoke, too afraid to ruin the moment. The thief's lips were red and slightly swollen from their kiss. What Yoongi loved the most was seeing his lips slick with his saliva. It made him feel like Jimin was his.
Even if he was not.
The thought brought him back to reality. He was kissing Jimin, a thief who was part of Rem's gang. Someone who would fearlessly break the law and commit crime without thinking twice.
With all the willpower he had in his body, he cleared his throat and looked away. Jimin looked away as well and stepped back, giving Yoongi space to move. Without much more talking, they mounted the motorbike in silence and drove off away from the sea.
The drive back to the museum was filled with agonizing silence. It's not like any of them could speak with their helmets on, but it felt like there was an uncomfortable silence. When they arrived in the basement, Jimin got off the motorbike while Yoongi stayed.
The uncomfortable silence was broken by Jimin's sweet and soft smile as he took his helmet off. "Thank you for the ride, hyung," he whispered.
He didn't only look like an angel, he also sounded like one. And so, with a heavy heart, he smiled back. "See you in the next heist, Jimin."

"Jimin!"
"Hyung!" Jimin shouted, startled at the sudden entrance of Namjoon. He blinked his eyes before calming down and slowly smiling sheepishly. Ah, that smile. Namjoon didn't even need to ask why he was once again in front of the computer. In Namjoon's office.
The younger was always in his office. It's not like he minded it, though. He did, however, mind the reason why Jimin was always there.
Namjoon sighed. "Jimin, what did I tell you about spending the whole day watching the cams we installed in Detective Min's house?"
"W-Well, it's important for someone to supervise his actions every minute. He might be holding the pearl and we'll never know."
"That's right. But you've been watching him everyday, every second... It's kinda creepy, Minnie. No offense."
Jimin pouted. "I'm aware, hyung."
Their leader shook his head. If these monitors were not placed in his office, he was sure Jimin would never sleep and would watch the computer with unblinking eyes. Namjoon looked over the younger's shoulder and saw Yoongi on one of the monitors. The ex-detective was drinking coffee while reading the newspaper.
"Is it true that you asked Tae to install a cam in the guy's bathroom as well? Without asking for permission from me?"
Jimin shook his head furiously.
Namjoon gave him that look.
The younger pouted. "How did you know?" he asked in surrender, looking so guilty. Namjoon had to remind himself that he shouldn't let himself be carried away by Jimin's cute face. He needed to instill discipline here.
"Hoseok slipped. Taehyung denied it but I know whenever he's lying so it's pretty obvious now."
"Well..."
"And the camera feed. Where does it connect?" he asked, not looking away in order to establish dominance in the conversation and make Jimin tell.
"To...my phone."
"Ah, Jiminie, I can't believe this! You've been watching Yoongi bath? Naked? Ugh, poop?"
"No!" Jimin shouted, his face red as a tomato. He stood up so fast the chair he was sitting on tumbled back. "I m-mean, yes, but just once! I...didn't...do it again. I realized I was invading his privacy and it was not good."
"I can't believe you're stooping this low," Namjoon teased. Jimin had been staring with dreamy eyes on the monitors all day and he couldn't help but take advantage of the opportunity to mess around with the younger. He wondered what's really going on between the two, but he was too afraid to ask. He felt like he was looking at his son growing up and finally about to leave his grasp, as weird as it might sound.
One thing was for sure, he knew that a Jimin and a Yoongi were an odd match. He didn't even know what to think about the fact that Jimin was having a crush on an ex-detective who had spent his life trying to abide by the law. Not just any ex-detective at that, but the detective who had been chasing Namjoon for years now.
Way to go, Jiminie.
"Well, sorry to interrupt your daydreaming but we'll be starting our meeting now. We need to have a rundown on the plan for the heist tomorrow."
"Is Tae home now?"
"He arrived thirty minutes ago, Jiminie. You didn't know because Yoongi is more important to you than your best friend," Namjoon said, not sure why he was so in the mood on teasing Jimin today. He guessed that being with the man in the same room and witnessing him drool over his archnemesis had taken a toll on him.
Jimin opened his mouth and was about to defend himself but no words came out. He just sighed and stood up, a pout still on his lips and his footsteps heavier than the usual happy skipping he and Tae usually did.
"I know Tae understands," he said before sticking his tongue out and running out of the room, probably to greet his best friend whom he had missed to welcome upon coming home from his 'work'.
Namjoon grabbed the dossier that was on his desk. He was supposed to gather the gang for some polishing with their plan, especially that the heist would be taking place tomorrow. Everything was set up and he knew that his team was ready. They just need to do some last minute check.
As the leader, he needed to make sure that this heist would not only end successfully but also safely for all the members of BTS.
He took one last glance on the monitor that showed Detective Min in his living room, eating some mysterious crap, before closing the door.
What he didn't see was Yoongi glancing at the camera.

"Everything's good in the casino, hyung," Taehyung reported. He was hugging Jimin from the back with his chin resting on the other man's shoulder. "No one suspects me and I also found out that I'm quite good in card dealing. I go whoosh whoosh. You should see me do my job. I'm awesome."
Jimin agreed with a wide smile and did a high-five with his best friend.
For their plan, they had Taehyung apply for a job as a card dealer in the casino where they would be doing their heist. He had applied two weeks ago and was immediately accepted. There was a rumor that they preferred good-looking ones so it wasn't really hard for his younger brother to get in. To minimize any suspicions, Taehyung would stay working in the casino a month or so after the heist.
Taehyung was the one tasked to steal the opal that was displayed publicly in the casino. What with his ability to open locks in record time. In fact, they were all relying on Taehyung's skill. He would only have limited time in his hands. About three minutes, or less than that. If he failed, it would be the end of them.
Of course, Namjoon would never compromise his brother's safety, so he had Jungkook driving Taehyung to work and driving him home everyday.
"Someone also asked me out," Taehyung continued. "Ah, there's two of them, actually. I was told by my workmate that a lot of people there are interested in me. I don't really know why but I think it's because I'm really good at dealing cards and remembering the game rules."
Hoseok laughed. "Tae, you sound like you have never seen your face in the mirror."
"What's your point, hyung? I always check my pretty self in the mirror everyday."
Before Hoseok could say anything in response, Jungkook opened his mouth to speak. "Such a dumbass kitten. Enough with those TMI, Taehyung. And you should be focusing on our heist, not on those silly suitors."
Taehyung stuck his tongue out, making Jimin giggle. Namjoon also noticed the lack of 'hyung', but it's been like that since they met so there's really no point of correcting Jungkook.
Their leader cleared his throat to get their attention. "So we're good with Taehyung. How about you, Hobi?"
"Ready as I can ever be, Cap'ain!" he cheerfully replied with a salute. "I have the blueprint of the casino memorized to the core of my brain and my maintenance uniform looks good on me."
Namjoon nodded. "Alright." Hoseok would take the role of the always-present-never-absent maintenance guy. He'd be in charge of turning off the power and placing a bomb in the area.
"Jimin?" Namjoon continued, turning to their cutest member who's too in love at the moment. Jimin nodded, his sulking awhile ago long gone and replaced with a bright eyesmile. Namjoon felt bad for teasing him earlier. He'd probably buy him mochi later.
Jimin, as it was his role in the gang, would be the one to distract the guards and the owner of the casino himself. He'd stride into the establishment as a snob spoiled brat with a complaint, a rich heir that had nothing to do but waste money and waste other people's time. His goal was to create a scene and have the owner notice him.
"How about ya Kook?"
As expected, Jungkook replied with a slight nod and low grunt, his arms crossed as he leaned on a wall in a relaxed position. Jungkook would be both their driver and back up since Namjoon would have to join the heist himself this time.
Speaking of which, he himself needed to get ready. It had been months since he had been in the field, as he usually just stayed in the van with Kook and oversee everything ever since BTS was created.
This time, it's different.
Namjoon would have to find a nice necktie.
