A Rockstar Drives me to Summer Camp

A/N Hey guys! I'm here with another chapter, so enjoy.

"Will Solace. How do you do?"

"Um, I'm Azrael Horatius." I reply uncertainty, "Can you tell me what's going on?"

"Questions later. Come with me." He says.

I step back from this random guy, "Oh no. A random person I've never met before tells me to come with him. I know how this story ends."

Nat then grabs my arm, "I know him. He's ok, now let's go."

Will smirks as Natalie pulls me after him. After about a block, we arrive at Will 's car. And is it one hell of a car. It's a bright golden Maserati with black highlights. And who could help but notice the black rims. It looks amazing. I open up the passenger door and get in. Nat gets in the back.

Will gets in the driver's seat, then says out loud, "Start engine."

Instantly, the engine starts, and Will peels out into the street.

"Voice pattern recognition? That's a pretty expensive piece of technology." I note.

"Yeah, but I got the money, so..." He responds, "So, who's the lovely lady in the backseat?"

"Natalie Herald." She says quickly, "Are you the Will Solace? Lead singer and guitarist for Sons of Apollo?"

"That's me." He replies happily.

Well, that explains where all this money came from. This guy is practically rolling in cash.

"OMG! I have all your albums!" Nat squeals, "Can you sign my bow?"

Will laughs, "Sure, once we get to camp."

Did I forget to mention Natalie is a bit of a fangirl. In all honesty, the only reason I know about any pop culture stuff is because I hang out with her.

Natalie stops, as if just realizing what he said, "Wait, you know about camp?"

"Let's try these introductions again." Will says with a smile, "Will Solace, son of Apollo, and ex-counselor of Cabin Seven."

Natalie stares at the singer in shock. I just look between the two.

"Anyone want to tell me what any of that means?" I ask, to no one in particular.

Naturally, they both ignore me.

"You- But- I-" Nat suddenly becomes incapable of forming a coherent sentence.

"Counselor? That's important, right?"

"Everything will be explained to you once you get to camp." Will says smoothly.

Easy for him to say. He's not the one waiting for answers. Oh, did I mention that I really hate not knowing stuff.

I cross my arms and sit back in my seat, "Whatever, just hurry up."

"Hey, I can't control traffic." He protests.

Once we get out of the city, Will picks up speed. Soon we're cruising down the Long Island Sound at around eighty miles and hour. Will shifts into neutral and drifts onto a small street called Farm Road. He stops in front of number 3.141.

"Alright, here you two go. I'd love to drop by and say hello to Percy and Annabeth, but I've got a photo shoot to get to. But first..." He pulls out a pen, "I believe I owe a certain young fan an autograph."

I could almost see the excitement pouring out of Natalie. She quickly hands Will the bow, and he signs his name with a flourish. The constant hands Nat back her bow, which she takes reverently, then squeals in delight.

I rub my ears, "Ow..."

"Tell Percy and Annabeth I said hi." Will says, flashing a blinding smile, "And Azrael?"

"Yeah?"

"Look after my siblings, will you?" With that, he jumps back in his car.

"So, what exactly did I not sign up for?" I ask my friend.

She is still staring at her bow, so I wave my hand in front of her face.

She snaps out of it, "What? Oh, right. Well remember how I told you O have proof about my 'crazy conspiracy theory?' Well you're about to see it."

Frowning in confusion, I follow Natalie up the hill.

We reach the top, and I look out and the valley below me and see...a strawberry field. Oh, and a big house, sorry.

"Hey Nat, you sure Will brought us to the right place?" I ask hesitantly.

She smirks, "Once you step past Thalia's Pine, all will be made clear."

I frown at the pine tree. If the thing has a name, you would expect it to be better maintained. Instead, coiled around the tree was a giant coil of wires. Hanging from one of the branches was a dirty piece of cloth, flapping weakly in the slight breeze.

I look at Natalie, who makes a shooing motion. I shrug and roll my eyes. Then sighing, I take a step forward. The instant I step forward, that sigh turns into a gasp. The valley below me had instantly changed. Now in front of me was a collection of Greek style buildings of all shapes and sizes, as well as a collection of cabins forming a U. To top it all off, I look to my left, at the tree. I scramble back.

"Who the hell put a dragon there?" I yell, "Better question: since when did dragons exist?"

Natalie laughs her head off, then grabs my arm and drags me down the other side of the hill, towards the big house, which had remained unchanged.

"Come on." She says, "Time for you to meet the family."

"Percy, Annabeth!" Natalie calls out the instant we enter the building, "You two there?"

A little five year old girl comes waddling out of the room over, clutching a stuffed pegasus.

"That's Annabeth?" I wasn't quite sure what to think.

"Of course not silly." Natalie crouched down so that she's eye level with the little girl, "Hey Silena, do you know where your mommy and daddy are?"

She points towards the next room over, "In there."

"Thank you sweetie." Natalie stands up and turns to me, "Time for you to meet the Jacksons."

I follow Natalie into the next room over. In there were two adults. One was a black haired, green eyed guy. He had a small amount of stubble, which was the target of the woman's rant.

"I told you to shave Seaweed Brain." The blonde haired, Gray eyed woman scolded.

"Come on Wise Girl." He pleaded, "I was thinking of growing it out. You know, make it look like dad's."

"Shave. Now." She demanded.

"Ok, fine." He sighs and turns, noticing Natalie and I for the first time, "Oh, hey Natalie. What's up? And who's this?"

"This is Azrael Horatius. He's a new camper."

I flick two fingers in an informal salute, "Hi."

The guy waves, "Hey new guy. I'm Percy Jackson. This is my wife, Annabeth. And you've already met our daughter, Silena."

Annabeth comes over and gives the the once over. I'm used to it, having gone to a number of schools. Then there was that juice incident... Hey, I was innocent okay! Never mind. Anyway, I look at her eyes. They appear cold and calculating, like she was analyzing the best way to take me out in a fight, yet soft at the same time. Her stare starts to get a little unnerving, but I don't let that show. I know how these places work. If you're not tough, you're weak.

She finishes her examination, and laughs, "Relax Azrael, I'm not going to hurt you. We're all family after all."

"We are?" I frown.

Percy laughs, "Yeah, it's pretty weird, but you'll figure it out."

"I thought you were coming tomorrow." Annabeth notes, turning to Nat, "What happened?"

"Azzy here," She jabs me with her elbow, "Was attacked by a group of harpys and a hellhound. Will Solace helped us out and offered a ride."

"Ok." Annabeth nods.

"Hey Natalie, do you mind finding Luke for me?" Percy asks, "I have to ask him about a little something that happened with the lake yesterday."

She looks at me, "Will you be ok?" Her eyes asked.

We know each other so well, we can have entire conversations with just our eyes and a few small facial expressions.

I smile and nod, "I'll be fine." I say, "Now go on."

She nods and runs out.

Percy throws his arm across my shoulder and guides me back into the living room, "Come on man, we'll sort things out for you."

Together, myself and the three Jacksons enter the living room.
