~~~Liam's P.O.V~~~

I stared out the window. My parents had forced us inside Varian's lab. I kept staring out the window, looking at the blood red sky.

I felt Ryan's hands on my shoulders, resting his head in mine.

"It's going to be okay, Lee.."

I nodded my head, before tightly gripping my hoodie sleeves. He gently placed a kiss on my cheek which made me smile.

"I'll let you think.." He mumbled softly before walking into a different room.

I got up walking into another room seeing my parents talking to two of their closest friends, Iv and Noah.

I stood at the entrance not wanting to interrupt them. Dad turned around seeming to understand that I needed to talk. He walked to me with a smile.

"Hey, Lee.. are you alright..?"

I shrugged. "I'm not sure, Dad.."

"Anything specific you got on your mind…?"

I nodded my head slightly. He waited for me to say something, not willing to push me to say it.

"... I-.. I feel like I'm a… awful son.." I said slightly fiddling the sleeves of my hoodie.

"Lee… you aren't an awful son… far from it, Liam.." He said gently placing his hands on my shoulders.

"... B-... But I've been lying to you and mom.." I mumbled.

He looked at me confused.

"... I-.. I know I'm not supposed to like or even consider being with.. guys but.. i-.. I never did tell you that… i-... I don't like girls, dad.." I answered quickly feeling worried yet relieved that I had finally said it.

He stayed silent before shaking his head with a smile.

"Oh, Liam.. you think I didn't already know..?"

"What…?"

"Liam, I know that your gay.. your mother and I have known for quite some time."

I stayed silent. "Aren't you going to get mad at me..? Or.."

"Liam, why would I ever be mad about that..?"

I bit my lip thinking before answering. "Because it isn't allowed…? Because it's looked down upon…?"

He smiled again before shaking his head. "Liam, you've come from a long line of traitors and rule breakers."

"What…?"

"Liam, I left my own kingdom when I was about 17. An action that would have sent me to my grave had my parents found out."

I stared at him confused.

"Your mother basically meddled with dark magic, and basically took down the kingdom." He deadpanned.

I laughed a bit.

"Toni basically slapped every single prince that tried to flirt with her and may have said some very… um.. you know what we should talk about that."

I chuckled softly before shaking my head.

"Dare I say, I think Kiran might be the only one of us who has not tried to bring down the entire monarchy."

I rolled my eyes with a smile before already imagining how many rules Ryder would break.

"Liam, who cares who you like, gender, sexuality, whatever… whoever you like.. I'll accept them and I'll accept you.. always have. And I always will." He said, gently kissing my forehead.

I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back smiling a bit before pulling away. 

I pulled away before looking up at him. "...Thank you, Dad.."

Dad smiled, gently kissing my head. "Of course, Liam.."

I quickly walked away. I felt happier but walking out of the lab thinking as I stared at the blood red sky.

I hated the feeling of this. I stared up before thinking.

"Liam.."

"Yeah..?"

"... I know you want to go back.."

I looked at the ground. ".. I am going back. This is our kingdom.. these are our people wether they like me or not. I'm fighting for them. They took the kingdom, and I'm taking it back. Adomos are everywhere.. I can't leave them defenseless, Toni."

She stayed silent, unable to talk before she walked forward before I got pulled back.

"You aren't going alone. I'm going with you. So is Charlie and Ryan."

I bit my lip, before nodding my head and walking away. 

'Sure they are..'

I walked towards Ryan's house opening the door. 

I walked into his room smiling a bit. "Hey, Ry.."

"Hey, Lee.. Listen.. Toni had a plan to-"

"No."

"Pardon..?"

"I said no." I said before shaking my head.

He scoffed, gently feeling my forehead. "... No..?"

"... I can't let you come.."

He stared at me. "What do you mean." 

"I can't let you come. It's too da-"

"Dangerous? Liam.. I can regenerate. I may be flesh and blood, but I'm not human."

I bit my lip. I knew they would use them against me.. I can't let it happen..

"Ryan.. I love you.. but.. I-.. I'm sorry.." I answered making a small blue orb flicking it onto his forehead.

His eyes widened, him slowly falling forward. I quickly caught him helping him to the couch, my heart pounding loudly.

He mumbled something unintelligible. His eyes basically told me what I did was unforgivable, but.. I had to protect him.

I ran my fingers through my messy hair, gently kissing his forehead.

".. I love you, more than you can ever know.."

He stayed lying still unconscious, I shook my head gently gripping his hand before getting up about to leave.

I almost walked out before seeing a couple of knifes layed out. I grabbed a few before turning back to Ryan.

"... I hope you can forgive me for this all.."

I walked out sighing a bit shaking my head. Meeting Toni near the gates with Charlie.

I didn't want them here either, but… maybe they wouldn't be held against me.

I nodded my head at them both as we ventured into the woods.
