~~~Liam's P.O.V~~~

I stared at the ground. Not knowing what else I could do. Well it was a short list really, because.. I couldn't actually do anything.. Except wait..

I-...

I was tired of waiting for something that would never happen..

"So why do you keep waiting..?"

I quickly slid away from an appearing figure. A woman in a silver dress with red firey hair, vines wrapped around her arms.

"Hello Liam.."

"U-... Um.. w-who are you..?" I asked wrapping my arms tightly around myself.

"Relax.. I mean no harm.. My name is Nolani.."

Nolani...

Nolani..

I mentally slapped myself. Queen Nolani, My grandmother. She laughed softly at my surprised face.

"Oh, sweetheart, You took a lot less time then I expected." She answered gently sitting beside me. I smiled a bit.

"Why are you waiting, Liam..?"

I-...

"I don't know.. I just thought that... maybe someone would come by and help me..."

"Liam.. I know that you want help... you really do.. But.. Right now.. The only thing you can do is help yourself.."

I turned to her. "How do I do that..?"

"You have to discover the other side of your powers Liam, I know you have only ever been used to your water side... but.. You and Toni can do so much more, but only for so little time.."

"What do you mean..?"

"Liam, you've always felt connected to your specific water element correct?"

I nodded my head slowly. Not exactly knowing where she was going with this whole talk.

"Come with me.." She stood up walking away.

I stood up only then realizing the vine and chain wrapped around my legs. "I-... I can't.."

"Water is everywhere Liam, plants, animals, and people. Learn to control it and manipulate it."

I stared at her confused, before looking at the vines. I slowly raised my hand feeling the water in the vine.

Water..

I stared a bit before the vine shrunk back sinking back into the cavern.

"U-... Uh, what in the fucking fuck was that fuckery..!" I squeaked out as the vine and chain both disappeared.

"I told you, water is everywhere. I'm surprised she didn't teach you how to manipulate blood. Still water. Plants have water. Liam, there is water.. there is energy in places you wouldn't even begin to imagine."

I stared at her in disbelief.

She laughed softly before shaking her head. "Liam, you really are something else. Why don't you find your way out now that you are free.. Say hi to your sister for me.." She said gently kissing my forehead before disappearing into mist.

I looked around. Seemed like a normal place. Just a cavern. I walked around thinking about what she said. Maybe I did know how to get out.. Maybe..

I felt myself glow a brighter blue as I noticed all the crystals in the mountain glowed brighter. I stared at all the vines and the small ponds of river.

They seemed to make a big mistake

~~~Ryan's P.O.V~~~

We finally made it to a place called The Mountain Of Illusions. I had never heard of it. But if this was where we would find Liam, then we had to go. We stood outside, what seemed to be an entrance.

"How do we get inside..? Or reveal some magic stuff..?" Toni asked confused as she brushed her fingers against some rocks that seemed to be glowing.

"It's..." She didn't get to finish her sentence because of the ground starting to shake.

"U-Uh.. L-Laurie..?"

I saw the vines glowing bright blue that enveloped the rocks. I felt a small glimmer of hope in my heard before I saw the rocks start to crumble. I felt Toni grab my hand as she pulled me into the woods beside her parents.

I closed my eyes a bit at the bright blue light when my eyes opened again I saw him...

Liam..

His eyes were glowing bright blue as he fell to his knees in exhaustion panting softly. I noticed the blood coming from his wrists and that was enough for me to realize that this wasn't a fantasy.. he was alive..

"Liam..!"

He turned towards my voice as I ran over to him sliding down against him. He looked so different, yet so similar..

His hair was just a dark brown, no blue streak. His eyes were tired, there were visible bags under his eyes. He looked exhausted and looked scared.

"... R-... Ry..?"

"Yeah.. I-"

He fell into my arms his breathing a bit heavy.

I saw his parents in the corner of my eye unable to believe he was still here. I gently wrapped my arms around him resting my head against his as he stayed still breathing roughly.

Slowly he slowly got up his eyes following to his parents and then Toni. His face broke out into a smile pulling his parents into a hug sobbing softly. I smiled a bit.

He turned to Toni hugging her tightly crying into her shoulder, while they both spoke in French to each other. I saw her smile a bit at his words before he walked back wrapping his arms around me.

"Hey, love.."

"I missed you so much, You don't understand how hard those three months were, Ry..." He said gently placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Three months..?" I asked Toni and her parents echoing my words.

"... Y-Yeah... Three months.."

I felt my expression and heart sink. He didn't know.. He stared at me his eyes asking the question he was too nervous to ask.

"What..?"

"Liam... you've been gone for three years.."

His face fell. He looked like he was one second away from breaking down. "Three years...?" He echoed.

I nodded my head. I saw him pull away from me before turning to Toni. "... D-... Does that mean that..."

"We're actual adults, Liam.." Toni said forcing a smile on her face.

I saw him stay silent before turning to his parents for confirmation them nodding in response. I gently placed my hands on his shoulder resting my head against his.

"I'm just so glad your okay.. I-... I though I lost you.."

"... You'll never lose me, Ry.." He said closing his eyes leaning back against my chest. I smiled a bit pretending not to notice the death glares from his very over protective sister. I hugged him tighter with a innocent smile, as she glared harder at me, with a visible smile on her face.

I sighed a bit realizing that maybe things would be better now.
