I tightly gripped my arms. He really was gone..

It was my fault.. I'm the one who caused it.. If I wasn't so desperate or If I never came back... Liam would be okay..

I stared down at the ground. I'm such an idiot..

"Knock Knock~"

I tensed up. Turning around seeing Evan sitting on the window sill with a smirk.

"Sorry for coming in through the window, dreadful etiquette, I know~"

"Get the fuck out."

"Sorry can't do that, Crescent~"

"I'm being serious Evan. Get the fuck out." I growled pointing out the window

"Relax Crescent, I just want to talk."

"It's never just that with you." I said watching his movements closely. I noticed how calm and relaxed he was. His dark clothing. The smirk on his face.

"You read me like the cover of a book. I just wanted to stop by and thank you~"

"I've done no shit for you." I growled reaching over grabbing a nearby knife. I felt his hand lock around my wrist his face inches from mine his eyes glowing bright red.

"Oh but haven't you..? Don't you remember..~?" He asked his smirk growing wider.

I stared at him searching his eyes for some trace of sanity left in him. "I'll take your expression as a 'Yes, I do remember the deal I made when I was a stupid young girl in love.'" He said letting go of my wrist brushing his hand under my chin.

"Touch me one more time and you won't have hands."

"Well, what good do they do. I wanted to thank you for your son's soul. So hopeful. It was enough to get all of us out of that god forsaken mountain."

My eyes widened in thought. I knew how to get him back..

"What did you do to him..?"

"Relax, He's alive. Unless he took his own life in the three years, that is~" He added the last part before walking back towards the window.

"In any case, that's all I needed. I do hope you have a nice life filled with the guilt and anxiety that comes with being the reason your son died."

He disappeared soon after. He could still be alive.. He could still be here.. We could get him back..

I quickly ran out the room, Running into Liam's bedroom. I knew they would be there.

I opened the doors seeing Toni, Joel, Kiran, and Ryan sitting on his bed. I swallowed hard before nodding my head outside the door. Joel understood as he followed me out the door shutting the door behind him.

"You alright..? You look.. shaken.."

"I-.. I'm fine.. I-.. I just... Liam is alive.. or well... I know where he is.."

He stared at me his eyes confused. "Laurie.. what are you saying..? How do you know..?"

I couldn't explain what Evan told me without telling him everything.. What happened so many years ago..

"Joel.. I-... I need to tell you something.."

Everything. I told him about the mountain. I told him about the deal. I told him about how I could even use magic.

I told him everything.

He didn't like it.

"So let me get this straight. You made a deal, basically bargaining our first born child!? And not only that you made it with a sketchy guy who was put in there because of his parents. Not only that but you've been lying to me about it for most of our lives?"

I nodded my head once.

"So when did it occur to you to tell me? No scratch that.. Where you ever going to tell me?!" He raised his voice. Something that I wasn't used to. Neither was anyone else.

I didn't respond, too afraid of where my words would take me.

"Laurie what were you thinking!?!" He asked grabbing my shoulders.

"Joel, I was 18..! You guys where in danger.. I needed a way to save you.. I-.. I didn't think I would ever even survive long enough to have children..!"

"Laurie, I don't mean that. I mean why would you try to hide this from me..!? It's not just your problem, Laurie. It's now both of our's.. It's our families problem..!!"

I lowered my head tightly gripping my arms. Too afraid to speak.

"Why didn't you tell me...?! Liam is our kid.. We promised we would protect all of them..!"

"I didn't tell you because I knew you would hate me..! I knew you would react like this..!!"

"HOW ELSE DO YOU EXPECT ME TO ACT, LAURIE?!!" He yelled making me shrink back.

"Y-... You've been keeping secrets and lying to me.. what else do you hide from me..?"

"That's the only thing, Joel.. I-... I know I'm a horrible person, a horrible mother and a horrible wife.. but.. Please.. I know how to fix this.. w-... we have to at least find him.. Please Joel.."

He stared at me taking a deep breath before nodding.

"Fine.. as long as you promise no more secrets.. Whatever happens is not only endangering your life.. It's endangering all of us."

"I promise.." I spoke gently nodding my head.

He nodded back. "Lets go then.." He said taking my hand before leading me out. We didn't make it far before Toni ran in front of us.

"You aren't going without me.."

"Toni, This is d-"

"Dangerous..? Yeah I know.. But he's my brother.. He's my twin. I'm not standing to the side when I know he's still here. I'm coming with you and mom, no matter what." She answered crossing her arms.

I turned to Joel with a shrug he returned it before turning back to Toni nodding his head.

"Then Le-"

"Wait.." Toni said walking back into the room pulling out Ryan who looked equally confused.

"We're also not leaving without him."

"Pardon..?"

"Toni.."

"Nope, It's only right we take Liam's boyfriend with us. No matter what happens Liam needs to know that we're all here."

I turned to Joel. A small smile was on his face before he nodded his head at me. I could barely return the smile before nodding back.

We were saving him, we were going to hell and back.
