Hello beauties, lovely and wonderfully made people!

Welcome to The Heavenly Playlist ♪♪

This is my second book on wattpad.
Earlier this year, in February, I completed my first book and work on wattpad, The Illuminant.
You can find it on my profile.

This year, so far has been quite a roller coaster of a ride and we're not even halfway through yet! Phew!
Nevertheless, we are victorious "....because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world..." (1 John 4:4). To add to that, the bible says, "..we have been made more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.."
The church is marching on unstoppable.

The Heavenly Playlist isn't a book per-say, it's more like a playlist just as the title entails.
I found out (mostly here in Nigeria where I live), that Christian music is not as appreciated as it is supposed to be and I'm not talking about unbelievers.
I'm talking about among believers and this is very important.
Man is a spirit, not a body. You only live in your body but your body is not you. This very truth, we have to be conscious of.
Therefore, it is very important that we feed out spirits with the right things.

Currently, there is news going around that is centered on creating fear. Don't find yourself listening so much to such news that that's all you think about.
We are told in the scriptures that "..the just shall live by faith..".
The scriptures also say that, "..faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.."

If all you hear is news saturated with fear, how do you expect to build your faith?
This is the same with the music you listen to. I heard a man of God say, "Music comes from the spirit." How true?
If the spirit behind the singer is not from God, it'll affect your spirit that is from God.
If you subject your spirit to such damage continually, your spirit becomes weak, worldly and carnal such that you cannot please God anymore.

This is because your heart is too full of these things now. You see and perceive things with a carnal mind and only with your senses, not by God's spirit.

Remember, "...to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.." (Romans 8:6)

I have made my home in Christian music ober the years and when I tell people that that's basically all I listen to, they find it very hard to believe.

Now, I do know that there are some songs that aren't necessarily Christian songs but are maybe about friendship, courage, e.t.c I'm not saying that those are all bad but my point is if it doesn't marry with the word of God, (against God's word) it's not good enough and shouldn't be your focus.
Even if it does, don't FEED on it, because it wouldn't build you up like the word of God will, nothing builds like the word.

Let the word be your priority.

Well, the lack of appreciation of Christian music I feel is partly because they have a reputation of it being boring but it isn't really.
Christian music is in the lyrics and so it comes in different forms which appeal to different people.

Now, there is a very thin line between worldly/carnal music and unscriptural Christian music.

What do I mean by Unscriptural Christian music?

This consists of songs that were composed by Christians and are sung in Christian congregations but are not inline with God's word as documented in the scriptures.
These songs almost have the same effect on your spirit as carnal songs because even though it's a Christian song, it has a tinge of carnality to it.
When I say carnality, I mean that the song or whatever part of the song wasn't fully inspired by the spirit but by the singer's limited perception of God which is in itself carnality.
Though the person has a good heart and motive which is to praise God, it is done wrongly and therefore leaving the spirit either in the same state or worse after listening.

There is another type of unscriptural christian songs that are the most popular.
You hear this sung by Pastors, Christians, e.t.c and most of them don't notice, just because it makes them feel good and so good sometimes they cry.
Unforunately, the song can be unscriptural and still moving; that doesn't change anything.
This category of songs have their lyrics birthed from the scriptures BUT aren't applicable to those singing it (Christians) hence their fall out.

A candid example of this is if you sing,

"But I keep praying to you, Lord,
                   Hoping that this time,
               You will show me favour.
In your unfailing love, O God,
                    Answer my prayer
              with your sure salvation"

I picked this verse from Psalm 67:13 and please note: It does not belong to any song in particular. If there seems to be any resemblance to an already existing song, it is not intentional.

This verse in question is from the bible but shouldn't be sung by Christians. Why?

Because, after Jesus Christ came to the earth, died and ressurected, all who believe in him and accept his gift according to the (how) in the scriptures, have already been given salvation.
We don't need to pray for it anymore because we already have it. Also, in that same package of salvation, came favour, grace, health, prosperity, peace and every good thing we could ever desire.

In the quoted scripture, David said, "..hoping this time, you will show me favour." The new creation isn't hoping for favour because it has already been poured out lavishly upon him.

You see the difference?

The old testament saints were permitted to talk and sing like this becuse Jesus hadn't yet come and salvation wasn't real yet.

When we sing old testament songs like this, we short change ourselves. We put ourselves in the position we're not supposed to be because like I said, "Man is a spirit."
A Christian who sings such a song or prays like this will always find himself looking for favour when he/she is supposed to be commanding it to work for him/her. He legally has the right to do so.

Like I said earlier, the implications of this would be, "...leaving the spirit in the same place or worse after listening."
This can be neutral in some cases while in some others, very harmful.

Look at me, I already started a sermon 😳😶 but anyway 😄

This is why I have composed a playlist which I call, The Heavenly Playlist to present you with spirit filled, undiluted tracks right from the throne room of heaven 💃

I really hope you're as excited as I am 🙈

This book will leave you craving for Spiritual music like never before and will increase your hunger for the word of God and what it says about you in music.

You are about to embark on the most interesting, soullifting, joybuilding, bodyshaking musical tour in the whole world.
Plug in your headphones or air pods, sit back and enjoy ♪♪♪♪ 🎶
