"Come on princess! Run!"
Keith grabbed my hand and sprinted as we kicked up the dry desert ground of sand, dirt, and pieces of plants.
"Princess pick it up!" Keith shouted.
"I'm going as fast as I can!"
I looked behind me and saw a fleet of ships.
"Keith! How is running ever gonna get thy much farther then these ships?"
Keith never answered my question but turned abruptly.
I skidded as I followed him and he started to slow down when we got to a hut.
He threw open the door and pushed me inside.
He jumped into the hut and slammed the door closed.
It was quiet as we waited to see what would happen next.
Our huffing was heavy and loud. It seemed to make us noticeably more tired with every exhale.
Keith held me close to him as he backed up into a dark corner.
Footsteps grew louder and clanking of metal and plastic armor told us that they were close.
"Nothing around." A deep voice boomed.
Chimes, which I could only assume to be walkie talkies or technology of that kind, rang from the other side of the door.
I held my breath as clanking of steel toed boots pressurised the creaking wood of the front porch. A shadow passed the opaque window and Keith pulled me into the darkness even further.
"Clear. If anyone is in that house, they're good as dead. They'd get tetanus and rabies all at the same time."
They cleared out and all the clanking of armor started to fade.
As the noises got softer my breathing came back into sound range.
When we couldn't see them anymore I sighed heavily.
We waited in silence for another hour before we got comfortable.
Once we feel safe we laid out what we could and tried to get some sleep.

I laid on the floor with a jacket over my torso as I stared at the black ceiling, with only the moon to highlight all the crevices and I thought.
"Keith?" I whispered, only trying to get his attention if he was awake.
"Huh?" He answered back from across the room.
"I can't sleep." I sniffled.
"Well how about I tell you a story."
I hummed a yes in reply and turned on my side to face him.
"Well, it all started with a feisty princess who's ship got lost in space. The princess, daring and strong flew to an unknown planet for help and ended up back home, on Earth."
I chuckled and rolled my eyes
"Keith, this is just a story about me."
"No no no, it gets good, I promise. Just close your eyes and let me tell it to you."
I scoffed and did as I was told.
"Anyway, this princess, who was slightly a lunatic, landed back on earth by a space base. She landed her craft and smiled as she recognised her home-"

Wow, home! I thought as I saw the grass and the trees and felt the breeze of earthy oxygen against my arms.
I jumped out of the shop and made a run for the main doors.
I opened them violently and ran to the front desk.
"I need help." I spoke desperately and out of breath to the lady at the front desk.
"What's going on sweetheart?" She asked with wide eyes.
"I've just landed from outer space and I need someone's help. I'm being tracked down from aliens in another planet and I need somewhere to hide myself and my space craft."
The lady looked at me with a blank face and she blinked rapidly.
Without a warning she burst into a fit of laughter and looked at me.
"Oh you're good! What tv show am I on now?" She continued to laugh and I got frustrated.
"It's not funny I'm in serious trouble!"
"Sure you are sweetheart." She chuckled as she tried to calm herself.
"What's going on Mrs. Hitchcock?" A smooth voice, which appealed to my longing ears, rang out.
"This girl says she's been to outerspace and an alien race is trying to kidnap her." Mrs Hitchcock chuckled.
His purple eyes went wide and looked at me.
"I'm not crazy!" I defended.
"I know you're not. Come with me." He grabbed my hand and I watched Mrs Hitchcock's face drop as he believed me.
I looked behind me to see her jaw dropped as this man grabbed my hand and dragged me somewhere.
"Where are we going?" I asked "and what's you're name? Who are you? Why do you believe me so easily?"
"Because I have seen what you have."
He pushed me into a room and closed the door behind us.
I turned to see a crew of people.
Another boy about his age, a young girl, a man with a robotic arm, and an older gentleman.
"My name is Keith by the way. And you're standing in the room of Voltron. We are a collective team of people who have saved a lot of planets in outer space. I believe you because I've seen everything."
I stood in disbelief of what I was seeing and hearing.
"So what's the situation?" The man with the funky arm asks.
"This girl has claimed that she is being hunted by an alien life form." Keith turned to me "do you know who they are?"
I shook my head and crossed my arms "but they have a council who wants me. They want me to marry their leaders son so his descendants have royal blood."
"You're a princess?" The older man asked with wide eyes.
"Yes."
"From what planet?"
"Here." I announced.
Everyone dropped what they had in their hands and looked at me.
Keith looked at the robot man and sighed
"Yep she's in trouble."
