~Lucy's Pov~ 

Morning until five at night Natsu was teaching me about basic magic and it's history. I had some information with Laxus which helped. Soon Natsu was leading me to a room to see Gildarts once more. "Freed was meant to stay as her carer and you her guard Natsu" Gildarts spoke smirking as Natsu rolled his eyes moving to a chair sitting down, leaning back. "Changed my mind. I will do both" Natsu soon spoke. Carer? I was still confused on some things. Along with basic magic, Natsu found out my perfect weapon choice.

He was able to do so with the Personal Demon link we now had. Gildarts stood up as was at first sitting at a desk. On the desk a pretty big golden chest. "Last time I opened this thing up was for Jude Ashley to hand him the weapons for his sons" Gildarts laughed as I looked at him in shock. The weapons. The Heartfilla weapons. I remembered that Laxus told me there was a third. Gildarts moved to the side of the desk I was standing, smiling at me. I looked toward Natsu who nodded. He always told me to make sure it was fine with him to trust people.

Somehow I ended up listening. "You shouldn't always rely on that baka. He won't let you talk to other boys then" Gildarts spoke as Natsu glared toward him but it in end made me laugh slightly. Gildarts offered me his hand as I took it. We soon shook as I soon asked how he became the leader of the Rebels. "I was once a Hunter in Fairy Tail but us Hunters never had permission to mess with leaders of the other race tribes" Gildarts spoke as we moved our hands back. I heard from Gray that was true. 

"I had many friends from all different races and got fed up of letting them get hurt. So I joined up with Natsu's father Igneel Dragneel the great Demon Dragon to try and make a difference but Igneel went missing some years ago. Since then I have been leading this all alone" Gildarts soon then explained as I was in some shock to hear about Natsu's father. I saw the hurt in his eyes when Gildarts brought that part up. Gildarts put his hand on my head. "Jude may have been a bastard once and awhile but he was a good friend" Gildarts spoke.

I had only met some of my father's friends. Even though he only had a very small amount. "We found out Flare and Chase were the ones who did the crime so we will get payback for them doing so" Gildarts spoke moving his hand and turning to face the chest on his desk. I moved to stand next to him looking at the chest. A whisper in the back of my head telling me to open it. "What is inside belongs to you. Miss Heartfilla" Gildarts spoke as I moved forward opening the chest up. I heard Natsu even stand up when doing so.

I saw inside a brown leather whip and a pouch of gold and silver keys. I grabbed them, pulling them out the box as it vanished. "Those keys can help you summon Gods and Spirits to come to your aid. The whip is very powerful. One thought and one slash could poison someone" Gildarts soon explained as I turned my head around fast going 'eh'. I was in shock to hear the whip was that powerful. "With the most powerful Demon alive watching over you, I believe it will be fine for you to leave.....once you pass my tests to double check of course" Gildarts headed back to his chair.

"Tests?" Natsu asked sounding slightly upset himself. I myself saw it coming very easily. In wrong hands, I would cause a lot of death and destruction. "She needs to know how to look after herself. Who is on her side. Who to trust truly and lastly can truly trust you Natsu. She needs to trust you with her life, she needs to trust your words above anyone else in her life now" Gildarts soon answered him as even that I didn't see coming. I knew I had to trust Natsu a lot from the moment we made the deal but that much.

To trust him over my own brothers. That would be hard. "How is that possible. The Heartfilla bond would stop that" Natsu spoke as Gildarts leaned back in his chair with a chuckle. He soon closed his eyes as Natsu and I looked at each other and then toward him. "Because that only effects her brothers. In her life, she has only had them around her. Of course, they are on her list higher than you but you must show her that she can put you above them. You must show her that your bond with her is just like her brothers, even worse at times" Gildarts then answered his newest question and mine in a way.

Even though I didn't ask mine. It helped make sense of some things. "Now her room is next to your roo-" "Nope she is moving into my room with me" Natsu but into Gildarts talking as his eyes shot open as he did so. When I heard Natsu's words I was looking at him in shock. My face burning up in seconds. "By the bond, I won't do anything to her. She is safer by my side at nearly all times" Natsu then spoke a serious look on his face. He wasn't helping my blushing face. Natsu did explain on the breaks of training he couldn't do that stuff to me, even if he wanted to.

The bond stops him. My words alone can stop him from doing anything. Even if that was to do something he really wanted. "I was thinking more of what Lucy would be more comfortable with Natsu" Gildarts spoke shaking his head as Natsu still had his serious face on him. He truly wanted this to happen. I knew my words could stop him but I was in too much shock. "You said it yourself. She needs to trust me right" Natsu smirked now using Gildarts's words to fuel his side of the fire. Gildarts looked at me. 

"Only if Lucy agrees to it. Her own free will agreeing on this Natsu" Gildarts spoke as Natsu looked toward me as I knew the spotlight was on me now. I had to pick. I had a feeling once I was out of here, Natsu would be demanding for this to happen anyways. "We test it for one night then I will give the real answer" I spoke just able to stop myself from stuttering. Natsu smirked more looking at Gildarts who nodded. We soon left after Gildarts touch me to put the weapons on my belt and learn how to make them vanish and reappear on any belt I would wear.

"When were you going to inform me of that idea?" I soon asked looking at Natsu who only chuckled. "Only thought of it then and there" Natsu spoke as I sighed slightly. Of course, he did. Soon I heard someone calling Natsu's name. My eyes widen as I turned around see Levy rushing over. She froze in front of us seeing me. "Lucy?" she asked in shock as I only waved slightly replying with a 'hi' before the three of us started talking and then head to a dining hall.
