~Chapter Thirty-Six~Aquarius~
~Lucy's Pov~
Natsu had taken me, Gray and Loke, into one of the many training rooms. The one we entered was themed around a small lake, looking as if it was really the outdoors. Gray was in some shock while I was looking around in 'awe'. "You all made such effort into making this the main base but after the attack, shouldn't you be moving bases?" Loke soon asked looking at Natsu who only rolled his eyes turning his head to look at me. I was still looking around, walking toward the lake itself. "No need" I heard Natsu only reply as Gray was asking how big this base really was.
I was wondering the same thing myself. "I don't know. Gildarts makes the place bigger every so often so could be anything by now" Natsu only sighed as Loke informed me he was going to leave so I would be able to summon Aquarius easier. I turned my head to see him smiling at me. "Good luck with training. I will be watching" Loke then spoke vanishing as I looked toward my belt seeing the keys in their pouch. Aquarius. From what I learnt from the books in the library, words from Loke and Natsu...
Aquarius was very powerful, strict and at times mean. I knew I needed a teacher if I were to help my brothers in this war. I pulled out Aquarius's key that matched the one on my necklace. "Loke might be right with the whole moving base thing. The enemy knows where you all are" Gray spoke as I bent down to the lake, putting the bottom part of the key in the water as I turned it, whispering Aquarius's name. The same seal as before showed in the water. "We can handle our own problems Hunter" Natsu replied back to Gray harshly.
Natsu really didn't like him much at all. That was annoying as hell. I knew that he wouldn't attack Gray or do anything unless it was needed to protect me but I was worried about the two starting small fights or arguments. I pulled the key out the water as Aquarius came out the seal, her eyes closed and her urn under her arm. She looked just the same as before. "I have one rule for if those boys are to stick around while I train you" she soon spoke loudly most likely getting the full attention of Natsu and Gray.
"They fight or argue, they are out of this room even if I have to throw them out myself" Aquarius then spoke even more loudly than before as I myself sweat-dropped. I nodded as I heard the two boys agreeing to her rule, both vowing not to do so while Aquarius was training me. I wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing. We were about to find out most likely. Aquarius soon asked me to sit on the ground with my legs crossed. Her voice more normal volume and quiet. I only listened, sitting down as I didn't hear Natsu or Gray make a single noise.
"Alright, the first step is to understand and befriend the power inside of you" Aquarius spoke as I was slightly confused by her wording and phrasing. She opened her eyes looking right at me. She soon noticed before I could ask as she sighed slightly. She was soon mumbling about how she forgot the old history books to help with my training were destroyed long ago. "The power inside of you is basically what humans call 'Mother Nature'. That power is what keeps the planet alive, it controls the balance of both normal human life you knew and the one you were dragged into" Aquarius soon started explaining.
She soon stopped turning her head to face near the door we came in, while I was wishing I bought a notebook. I turned my head to follow Aquarius's eyes, seeing Levy in the corner writing things down. "I asked Levy to come and help write notes for Lucy to study and read. Is that alright?" Natsu soon asked Aquarius gave out an annoyed 'tisk'. I was just glad that he was asking and speaking nicely toward her. "That is fine both of you boys go sit with her, if you both get hit by blasts I cannot promise you both will live through it" Aquarius soon answered.
I was in shock and worry about the information on 'blasts'. I still wasn't fully sure what everything meant, I wasn't sure on what I even had inside of me. "The Great Power alone has a name that many know, we call it Ankhseram. To many creatures like Demons, Vampires and so on, Ankhseram is a God which is true. The Great Power once had a body was a normal simple human who's bloodline was the Heartfilla's. When the human body of Ankhseram died his power lived on as The Great Power. That power does anything to make sure it lives on. Even us spirits are unsure of why only females can be hosts to the power" Aquarius soon started explaining once again.
I was taking in the huge information. My mind in utter shock. I basically had some God called Ankhseram inside of me. I had the power of a God that brought me into this world, using my father's experiment of making Sting and Laxus to create me. I had the power of a God alone which was shocking. "The Great Power is needed for balance to be made. Being why the warn with Darkness truly returned, without a female Heartfilla the power cannot carry on protecting this world so when it sensed how badly it was needed once again it used the fact someone was bringing back two Heartfilla boys to make you Lucy" Aquarius spoke
All of this information at once was hurting my head. I was trying to understand it all. "I am your zodiac meaning I am to be your teacher, guardian and if need be a mother figure. That is why I used to break the laws and see you as a child" Aquarius soon explained as my eyes widen. My memories weren't a lie. My father only told me Aquarius was only part of my wild and creative imagination. "We knew sooner or later you would be dragged into our world so I was let off punishment. We knew you would be given our keys even, the great sword and spear were made to protect you. The keys were made to guide you and the whip was made to punish those you see fit" Aquarius soon explained.
The weapons. They weren't really made to stop the war in the past like in the stories. They were made to protect the power of Ankhseram. "The Heartfilla family were affected by the fact only females could gain the power. A jealous Heartfilla in the past made sure girls were rarely born so she could kill her older sister and gain the power for herself. Lucky for us all the older sister was more powerful than the jealous one" Aquarius then explained as she closed her eyes, her head moving to face the ceiling.
"As long as the host of the power is light and pure-hearted, it will work toward making peace within the work making it change the fate of this world. As long as you are good and believe in a certain party like the Rebels they will win beating both Hunters and Darkness but if you believe in the Darkness I am unsure what will fully happen. All we know is that it's bad" Aquarius soon explained even more. My head was really hurting trying to remember all this. I was very thankful that Levy was writing notes in the corner of the room.
"I am your teacher and guardian meaning I cannot let you join certain battles or fights until you are ready. The first step is control over hiding the power inside of you" Aquarius soon opened her eyes as she moved her head to look at me. I had a feeling this training was going to be a lot harder than I first thought. I had a strict teacher who seemed to not like Natsu, Gray or well anyone. "Alright, where do we first start?" I asked as Aquarius smirked slightly moving her urn to float in the air. It soon moved on its own to land in front of me.
"Mediation and meeting the past and real last host of The Great Power. Records claim Anna was the last Heartfilla while they were wrong, Anna had a daughter hidden away called Layla, she was the one to offer the Hunters the DNA of the Heartfilla family to make sure the bloodline was secure" Aquarius explained as I nodded, closing my eyes taking a deep breath. Sitting around and doing nothing was something I hated. I always used to think mediation was basically doing that.
It wasn't long until I heard the sounds of water splashing and swishing all around me. The sound starting to echo as if I was in a cave. That was when even with my eyes closed I saw lights. Colourful, bright baby blue lights. It looked as if I was really was in a cave. My head moved downward as I was struggling to keep my eyes closed. I somehow was able to do it. With my eyes closed, it looked as if I was standing in a lake of water that went to my hips. That was when I heard a soft, calming voice calling my name.
The sound echoing around the cave as I moved my head up to see a woman who looked just like me but older, wearing a white and pink flower theme kimono.
