~Lucy's Pov~ 

After being dragged inside Natsu asked me to not trust Gray fully. I was confused but he was soon dragged off to do work himself. Gray and Gajeel came inside as many people were looking toward Gray with death glares. Levy walked over moving behind me. "A Hunter? Lucy, why is he in here?" Levy asked as I rubbed the back of my neck. Gray only shook his head as Gajeel walked next to Levy putting a hand on her head. "He is Bunny-Girl's new bodyguard while Natsu is working" Gajeel soon explained.

Everyone soon stopped glaring welcoming Gray to the base. He was in shock as I giggled. I turned around to look at Levy. "Lu, you should be resting" she soon spoke as I looked at her confused. Soon her face burned up slightly. "Oh no, it slipped" she spoke covering her mouth fast as I only laughed slightly at her embarrassed face. "I like the nickname, Levy!" I soon spoke as she smiled moving her hands saying that was what she would call me from then onwards. It only made me smile. 

She and I really got along well. "I nearly forgot, what is going to happen with school?" Levy soon asked looking toward Gajeel who rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't know the answer. I soon informed them I would ask Natsu before walking off. I wasn't going to lie, I was tired. "Lucy wait up" I heard Gray as I turned my head to see him catching up with me. "How about we have that talk now?" he soon asked as I nodded. I was able to remember where one of the meeting rooms were and took Gray and myself there.

"So what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" Gray soon asked as we sat down next to each other at the giant round wooden table. The meeting room was huge for the two of us but there was an elf spell stopping others from hearing what was said inside. Well unless it's your Personal Demon. "Well, long ago when I was younger someone saved me in the woods near the other side of the city. You look much like him so I was wondering....was it you?" I soon answered with a question as Gray was in shock.

He soon smiled brightly looking at me, putting his hand on my shoulder. "You didn't forget me" he whispered as my eyes widen. It really was him. Gray was the person who saved me long ago. I was soon asking each other questions about what happened afterwards, how we grew up and so on. Gray really was my old hero. We spent hours talking, laughing and telling stories before Natsu came into the room. "Natsu knock the door before just coming inside!" I snapped crossing my arms as he rolled his eyes slightly. 

Gray chuckled as Natsu soon gave out an annoyed 'tisk'. "Gildarts is back and wants to see you both" Natsu soon informed us as I got up. Gray was confused as I informed him that Gildarts was the leader here. He got on his feet afterwards nodding. Gray had to find a way to make peace between the Rebels and the Hunters. He wanted them to work together and from Levy's reaction before, it meant there was history between the two. "Natsu can we go to the basement library tomorrow?" I soon asked smiling at him.

He smiled closing his eyes agreeing to the plan. That was when he took me and Gray to Gildart's office as he was watching Gray careful. Gray had a calm look and body language. Natsu stood next to me as he made me sit in one of the seats. "Lucy, I must thank you for saving everyone while I was away" Gildarts spoke as I was saying Natsu, Gajeel and Levy needed most of the credit. I only summoned someone while they were keeping the infected Rebels busy. Levy even was helping with healing afterwards.

Natsu was smiling at me after my sentence. "The only reason your friend is still breathing in here is for that reason though Lucy. Now Fullbuster isn't it? Son of Silver Fullbuster?" Gildarts asked as Gray's eyes widen in shock. Silver Fullbuster. Father talked about a man like that. He always had respect for him along with some fear of his power. "Correct" Gray replied his eyes calming down as he was keeping such a calm and focused face. Gildarts was looking at him, trying to read him like a book.

"You do understand Natsu only agreed to let you in here to keep Lucy safe? Under the Hunters, she is in more danger and more of a target" Gildarts soon asked as I really hated that fact. Now knowing what was inside of me. Now knowing that I was The Great Power itself....I myself would put the Hunters in more danger as well. I hated that I was putting the Rebels in danger. "Yes, I understand that. He is her Personal Demon after all. Sir Gildarts Clive right? My father spoke about you but everyone thought of you as just a story" Gray soon replied.

Gildarts laughed as Natsu was smirking slightly. Gray kept his calm and focused look while I myself was confused. Natsu soon bent down to my height, his breath on my ear once more. "We made it look like Gildarts wasn't real so people wouldn't question him vanishing" Natsu whispered to me. I nodded understanding now. I was trying to think of a way to help Gray get on Gildarts' good side. Gildarts soon stopped laughing looking at me. "Can he be trusted Lucy?" he soon asked shocking me and Gray. 

"I believe so yes. He has saved me twice. Once when we were children and the second time with Flare" I soon answered was a serious look on my face as Gildarts closed his eyes smiling. Natsu was mumbling about how he 'owed' Gray slightly now. I was confused on it but I knew it had to be about the Personal Demon thing. I had to ask Levy later. Natsu moved forward to stand in front of Gray. "Why did you offer to guard Lucy instead of saying one of her brothers should?" Natsu soon asked his eyes had a slight glow.

He was now testing Gray. I wanted him to stand down but sadly I wanted to know the answer myself. "Because I care about her. Don't like it then tough" Gray then answered shocking me as Natsu growled slightly moving back to stand next to me. Natsu was now closer to me his eyes closing as I just somehow knew that he was keeping himself calm by doing so. "Alright lets talk about what you Hunters really want?" Gildarts asked in a serious tone his eyes still closed. Gray nodded agreement before taking a quick breath.
