Chapter 6 This feeling won't go away
Chapter 6: This feeling won't go away
Emery's POV
"What? No hug for the guy who saved you're life,"
I stare straight into his hazel eyes and the memories flooded back to me, it's like someone turned on a light switch and I instantly recognize him.
I stood there for a moment not knowing what to do.
Then I recall his previous statement.
I squeal, feeling this wave of excitement hit me from just seeing him.
I run and jump into his arms, hugging him dramatically probably looking like a cheesy romance scene. He stumbles back surprised that I caught him off guard. I know how really weird this is but we're talking about the guy who saved my life.
"Oh my god! I can't believe your here I've been waiting for this moment to actually meet you, I mean I vowed that I would find you one day and I finally did! Well I mean you found me but who cares I just can't bel-" I cut myself off of my own rambling.
"All I've been wanting to say is thank you and I will spend the rest of my life in your debt," I concluded.
"No your not, the reason I saved you is not just so you can spend you're whole life in my debt," He debated.
"Eh-hm," Someone coughed.
I turned around to see Raiden with confusion and anger in his blue eyes. Before I can explain to him, he continued.
"What are you talking about?!" He demanded to know.
I shoved my savior towards Raiden.
"Oh um this is the guy that pulled me out of the car when the accident happened," I explained.
I look at my savior again.
"I'm sorry, What's your name?" I squeaked.
"It's River," He says.
I nod my head confirming that I liked the name.
"Okay dearies how about everyone sits down and eats before the food gets cold," Harley suggested. Caring more about the food than our conversation.
I see River plop down on the gang's breakfast table, Wait a second.
My eyes widen as I scurry to the servant's table.
'River is in this gang, He can't be!' I thought. He saves my life and now he's working for the most ruthless gang in town. I know I barely know him but I expected more from him.
I see Raiden stealing glances towards River and I. He's probably trying to figure out what happiness means, I bet he never experienced it himself.

After I wash the last dish I stack it on top of the various clean dishes.
"Okay Harley I've hand washed all the dishes," I say to her knowing she wanted me to tell her when I was done.
"Okay dear you're free to leave I've got the rest," She said practically pushing me out the door.
She's pretty strong for a women with a sling on.
"Oh, are you sure? I mean I cou-" I get caught off by an 'I'm sure' from her while she successfully pushes me out the door.
I start walking down the hallway while pulling a map out of my back pocket.
Mackenzie made me one when I told her I can't get out of a room without getting lost.
I'm about to turn left when I bump into something.
Or someone.
River to be exact.
"Hey, I need to talk to you about something important," He says unsure.
"Sure we can talk right here," I said feeling something strange by the way he looked, like he had the whole world on his shoulders that needs to be lifted.
"Okay, well you see I wanted to sa-" He gets cut off by a feminine voice.
What's up with people getting interrupted today.
"Are you ready for you first lesson on how to maintain a garden today?" Someone asks. I turn around and see Layla, my second job.
"Okay I'll be there, let me listen on what River wants to say first," I negotiated.
"No it's okay, go on I'll tell you later," River said, waving his hand around like it's nothing.
"Are you sure?" I questioned.
"Positive," He gave me a thin lipped smile and turned to walk away.
I shrugged my shoulders putting aside my worry for him.
Layla lead me down a couple of hallways and stopped in front of two french white doors.
"Why are we stopping?" I questioned her.
"Why? Because you are about to see a beautiful but also hard to maintain garden!" She says excitedly.
She opens the double doors and in comes a strong wind blowing both are hair backs. She runs outside while I just stay in the same spot with my jaw dropped.
This is the most ravishing garden I've ever seen!
There are rows and rows of every flower I could ever imagine in all different colors!
There was a path leading straight from the french doors, I took that path and started walking down admiring the beauty.
I came to an abrupt stop when I heard water splashing, I look away from the flowers and see a big lake with a beautiful marble statue fountain in the middle of the water.
The statue was shaped like a man holding a sword.
The man was looking down at his sword with an intense look . Except he didn't look at the sword with pride in his eyes, instead he looked at it with hatred.
He looked like he wanted to smash the sword.
I took a closer look at the sword the find three rubies accessorizing the handle. This statue looked off but I couldn't tell what was 'off' about it.
It felt like at any moment the statue would move and find me staring.
It was not a good feeling.
I looked away and followed the path that encircled the lake and the fountain.
I walked straight and saw shrub statues of lions lining up the pathway.
I stopped when I reached a dead end, either go right or left.
I chose left.
A couple steps later and I think I found my favorite part in the garden. There were various types of flowers and shrubs together all surrounded by gray and white stones.
Little trees overlapped the shrubs while it's all surrounded by low cut green grass that I could roll around in all day.
I walked down 5 feet forward and saw a breathtaking white gazebo with blue and yellow flowers wrapped around the bars or and poles of the gazebo.
I walked in and took a seat on the bench while taking a deep breath taking in the nature.
Yep, this is my favorite spot in the whole garden.
Layla came in the gazebo saying she finally found me and wanted to show me the basics first.

So after 3 long hours of watering the flowers and cutting the shrubs to make them look perfect we are finally done managing the garden.
I walked inside the mansion to feel the cold air hit my sweaty skin.
I looked at my watch and turned to Layla.
"Okay I'm going to take a shower then help Harley prepare lunch," I exclaimed.
"Sure thing just remember we have to do this twice a day," She replied.
"No problem," I said.
We parted ways while I took my map out from my back pocket. I start walking down a corridor until I see a familiar light brown haired man.
"Hey Keith wait up!" I shouted running down to catch up with him.
He turned around and smiled.
"Hey Emery what's up?" He asked.
"Oh I just got finished helping Layla in the garden, I'm about to head to the ladies washroom," I informed him.
"Yeah you smell like you rolled in mud," He implied holding up his fore finger and thumb to pinch his nose to rid of my smell.
I look up and down the corridor looking at him questioningly.
"So you never told me what you do around here," I looked at him with my eyebrow raised while circling him like I'm investigating him.
"Well I wash each and every car parked on this property and I keep his many garages spotless, I'm usually the valet when he has guest coming over." He said dying down my suspicion.
"Are you about to do that right now?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah I was actu-" He stops talking and leans his head back with his eyes closed.
I can see his eyes rapidly moving under his eyelids.
What just happened.
"Keith?" I called out to him.
He didn't answer.
"Keith?" I started getting worried.
Still no answer.
"Keith answer me!" I pleaded.
He opened his eyes abruptly and shakes his head while lifting it.
"What just happened?" I asked.
"Um nothing... It's just a headache," He said nonchalantly.
"Really? Then why didn't you answer me when I called you?" I questioned not believing him.
"Because I was trying to get rid of my headache and block you out," He said walking away irritated.
That was strange.
~~~~~*~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~*
"Can you pass me the salt please dearie?" Harley asked holding out her hand.
I grabbed the salt and passed it to her "Here you go."
After freshening up I'm now preparing lunch with Harley currently cutting tomatoes for a big salad.
Harley had said that the gang will not be joining us for lunch saying that their out on a classified mission.
I'm glad that I don't get to see Raiden but I did want to see River.
"So you and Raiden huh?" Harley clicked her tounge while narrowing her eyes at me.
I looked at her shocked and put my knife down. I honestly hope she's not talking about what I think she's talking about.
"NO! How could you ever think that? He killed my brother!" I looked at her shocked.
"No reason just making sure there's nothing going on," she said.
She wiped her hands on her apron and carried the two large plates stacked with sandwiches.
She then walked out of the kitchen not to metion the displeased look she gave me before she did.
She ringed the bell indicating lunch time.
What was her problem.
~~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*
I walk down the hallway and look at my watch.
It's 9:54pm and I finished washing the dishes before heading to my cell.
I kept feeling that I haven't realized something but I don't know what.
This feeling began ever since lunch started.
It feels as if I'm missing something really important.
The feeling won't go away.
I walk down the basement stairs and start heading towards my cell.
I let Drake unlock it and walk inside.
Once he shuts and locks the cell door I look around and see a large bump occupying the top bunk.
Keith must be sleeping.
I should start.
So I plopped down on my bottom bunk and fall asleeping with the feeling still nagging at me.
~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~*
"Stay with me Emery, you're not gonna die on me here, I still have yet to meet you....and Jonah," I faintly hear a man plead.
River plead.
I woke up with sweat dripping from my forehead and neck.
This feeling was still present but I felt close to figure out why I had the feeling.
The car accident.
I have never seen nor heard of River before.
Until he pulled me out of the car.
Why did he save me?
Why does he have to meet Jonah and I.
Wait a second.
How did he know my name.
And Jonah's.
Hey guys!
I wrote half of this chapter on a computer and half of it on my retarded phone that doesn't auto correct my spelling. So I had to write very slowly and it was torturing. I know this chapter sucks, trust me, it's not the best chapter I've written.
If there are any mistakes please blame my retarded phone ;)
Sorry if the chapter seems really short!
Emery's favorite spot in the garden on the side>>>>>>>
My phone got taken away so I'm using my very old one and it doesn't have emoji's so I can't do my hearts with my name.
I'm gonna have to improvise.
