Jennie's POV:-

I was making coffee for myself in the canteen, and after pouring the coffee powder and other contents into the mug, I turned around while stirring the coffee.

But when I saw the person who stole my heart making his way down the stairs , I abruptly turned back to the counter , whisking another mug and trying to make one more coffee.

Ohmo I can feel him making his way towards me and the way he looks is so handsome. I mean, he always does, but the white shirt that he chose to wear today, mmm..it's just heavenly by the way.

I'm talking about my one and only love, Hoseok

He doesn't know about it and I'm not able to build up enough courage to go up to him and confess. I was lost in my thoughts when I felt someone tap on my shoulder but I could tell it's him, by his cologne. It was Hobi.

" Umm... excuse me Jennie, I need to make coffee. If you could mo-

I cut him off.

"O-Oh s-sorry"

Fuck you.I stuttered again, but I can't help it!! His voice, the way my name rolled out of his mouth.

Fuck you.I'm whipped.

"I-I can make your black coffee." I ask him.

"No, it's fine, I can manage. By the way, how do you know that I like black coffee?"

He asks me to make his coffee.

Think, think, right. That should do it.

"Umm...I just know what everyone likes; perks of being a secretary I guess. "

I say I laugh it away sheepishly.

KILL ME.

AAAHHHH IT'S SO FUCKING EMBARASSING.

"Hmm, impressive, since when did you start working here?" he asks me.

Of course he wouldn't know.

I know, I can feel my smile turning down. I press my lips together and look down before answering him.

"Just, from the last 5 minutes.."

I know what he asked for. I just didn't wanna feel bad, but shit, it's hard not to.

"O-oh, not in the cafeteria, I was wondering when you started working for this company."

He asks me again, sipping on his coffee.

"Oh..that, well, it's been like 2 years."

I replied by giving him a fake smile.

"2 years, woah, so you're saying that you know when one needs what, you know everything. I think I should say thank you so much on everyone's behalf then, so thank you Jennie. It means a lot to each of us. "

He thanks me, gives me a casual hug, and walks away.

I froze , already being a tomato, and the next thing I knew was that everything was blacked out.

In Y/n's cabin :-

Y/n's POV:-

"Here is your certificate, ma'am."

Totto says, handing me over the certificate that I asked him to get done for me.

I give him a look of disapproval which makes him realise and say

"Oops, I'm sorry, I mean Mr. Bang's death certificate."

He corrects himself while I check out the certificate if anything is wrong by chance.

When I find no problem in it, I grab 100 dollars from my purse and hold my hand out to him for him to take it as a reward.

"There's no need for this, ma'am."

He stammers, but I know he wants it, so I just give him another stern look and he just takes the money out of my hands and looks down at it, smiling to himself.

"If you ever want someone's birth or death certificate done, just remember me ma'am. I'll always be just one call away."

He says he was thinking, Oh, sorry, not thinking wisely about his choice of words.

When he realises that I don't say anything, he comes to his senses again.

"S-sorry ma'am"

He apologizes.

"By the way, ma'am, Mr. Bang... is he your relative or someone ??" He asks me, clearly nervous that I would burst out .

"Umm..yes, you can think of him like that. Now you can leave, please. Thank you. "

I dismiss him.

And when he walks out, I just grab the death certificate again, remembering all the sour memories of the pain I and my family went through years ago.

At the lobby

Author's POV:~

Totto was happily walking towards the cafeteria, staring at the money in his hands, giggling to himself , when Jungkook slipped in front of Totto through a wheeled chair , stopping him in his way.

"Did you bring what I asked you to?"

Jungkook asks him, smirking to himself.

"Of course, sir, how can I not? If I didn't, then I would have never been able to see this beautiful face of mine ever again. By the way, look there, it's in there, "Jojo says, pointing towards a door.

Jungkook looks towards the door and the smirk on his face turns into an evil grin.

He gets up from the chair and pulls out some money from his wallet, giving it to Totto, more like forcing it into Totto's pockets because he was rebelling .

"No problem, you did your job so it's just a small reward from me. So today, take a taxi home, not the bus, "Jungkook says to him.

Totto thanked Jungkook and was about to leave when Jungkook grabbed his shoulder and told him to stop.

"Where?? You take that thing with you and follow me ,now. "

With that, Jungkook walks away, and Totto tries to keep up his steps with Jungkook after telling the two delivery men to get the thing and follow him.

Jungkook barges into Y/n's office and Y/n just stares at him trying to figure out what he's up to now but snaps away when she sees that something big was brought into her cabin which was covered with a red silk sheet.

"W-WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?? YAH, Totto, what is this? "

Y/n asks him, but he just tries to avoid her and walks out of the room but gets stopped by Jungkook.

"Don't try to put your ears on the door and eavesdrop on us, because if you do, you actually won't be able to see this face, hmm?" Jungkook warns him, and he just nods his head frantically and runs out the door, closing it behind him.

"JUNGKOOK !!!"

Y/n yells out his name, grabbing Jungkook's attention, and he walks towards her while she continues

This is an office, not your fucking house where you can do what you want.

She gets cut off when Jungkook puts a finger on his lips, making a shush sound, and pulls out the red silk sheet in one swift move which reveals a cat in a cage.

Y/n scrunches her nose and rolls her eyes and asks him

"What is this Jungkook?" she frowns, furrowing her brows.

"It's a cat babe, meow." Y/n rolls her eyes and says

"I know that, but-." She stops when she sees Jungkook pulling out a white mouse from his back in his hands putting it in front of her face.

"And this, my dear, is a mouse, which means, you."

"JUNGKOOK, WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS??" Y/n screams at him.

"No baby, it's not nonsense."

Jungkook says, giving a brief pause while placing the mouse in the other section of the cage . and walks around the table towards Y/n and places his knee on the empty chair of Y/n.

"This is the reality of life, babygirl. Actually, there is no fun in making you understand through words, so now understand through this," he says, pointing at the cage .

"These are not just cat and mouse, this is both of us."

Y/n glares at him, clenching her fists on her sides.

"Cats mean me and mice mean you!"

Y/n glares at him with so much anger, and Jungkook reciprocates it with a glint of mischief in his eyes.

"Don't be stupid, Jungkook, take it out of there; it will get killed."

Y/n says she reaches out to the cage to pick the mouse out of it, but gets bugged out of her hands by Jungkook.

"It's fine, it won't be killed by the cat, the cat would just scare it. You see, this is just a game of fear, like I scared you yesterday, so you must have even gone to your so called aunt and said

AUnt, if JunGkook thiNks That I'm GoNna be sCareD by thEse thIngs thAt he's dOing thEn he's wrOng, I'm not goNna be sSaRed Nor goNna break. Something like this??"

Jungkook tries to mimic her voice, placing his chin over the hand that is now placed on the cage.

"I-I never said anything like that!!"Y/n says she is trying to fight back.

"You know what, we may not understand each other , but we do know each other so damn well."

Jungkook says, tilting his head a little, grinning.

"Anyways, I was saying, that this is just a game of fear. Where the doe will come to the cat's place means, office everyday, scared, overwhelmed. Always thinking about what the cat might do today, what mess he might create??

Just like how you were today in the studio, but I won't do anything. "

(A female mice is also known as a DOE, for those people who didn't know before.)

He says it in a dramatic way and walks around the table to her .

"I just won't do anything. The storey will just continue slowly, and along with that, your fear will also grow, but later on, your fear will start to decrease too. Then it would disappear. You will be a carefree babygirl, all relaxed, without no worries. "

Jungkook says, placing himself on the big chair, winking at her.

"And then, I will drop my big bomb, which will cause you pain like someone ripping your soul out of you."

Jungkook says, leaning on the table, giving Y/n a hateful glare, to which Y/n simply looks away, her jaw clenched.

So as the saying goes, remove caution and an accident ensues... BOOOOOO

Jungkook yells, making Y/n flinch, who looks like a deer caught in the headlights.

Jungkook grins triumphantly because of the reaction he got out of her and then walks to her till he's close to her face.

"But until then, live your life, thinking, about me, thinking about what Jungkook's gonna do, what's going on in his mind, when he will mess up again, and enjoy the game till then."

He finishes giving her his smirk and walks out the door, but not before winking at Y/N, who was fuming with anger.

Y/n pushes the chair out of her way and the things on her table in anger and glares at the cage left on the other side of the table.
