PENELOPE WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE JAKE'S  FACE WHEN HE OPENED THEIR PRESENT.

I walked downstairs with Jake. We opened the door. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!" His family shouted. There were birthday decorations and lights everywhere. It was too much for my eyes to take in. A bunch of people  I didn't know were standing in front of us, probably Jake's family.

His mom,dad and sister were there. There were his favourite colour balloons everywhere. Jake ran up to a boy with ginger hair. He hugged him "WILLIAM YOUR HERE!" Jake shouted.

"Yeah, Happy Birthday jake!" He ran up to a bunch of other people to hug them.  "PRESENTS! " Jake's mom shouted. "Penelope should go first." Jake said, while looking at me, grinning. "Ok mine is this one." I said while passing it to him.
" Thanks." He said taking it. He unwrapped the present like his life depended on it.
"WOW THE TRAILS OF APOLLO SERIES, I'VE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR MONTHS!" He shouted then he ran up to me and gave me a bear hug.

I felt butterflies, really strange, anyways I was really happy for him. He let go. "Wow, this is embarrassing I feel like I'm 10." he muttered, turning red. "Anyways who's next?" He asked. "ME!" Honey shouted . She passed him her gift. It was a bracelet.

I looked at it over his shoulder it said. ' I love Penelope.' His face turned extremely red. He threw it on the floor. I laughed at his frustration, then I found myself angry at him for throwing it on the floor. He picked it back up.

"Although the words on it are DEFINITELY not true, it's still thoughtful. Thank you" He said putting the bracelet on. Honey grinned. "Who's next?" My mum asked, then it kept going on for a few minutes.

He got a new watch, a laptop, a golden chain necklace, his books from me, the ' I love Penelope ' bracelet and some other things. He also kept in looking at me Every time he looked at the bracelet. He rushed upstairs and came back down with a tracksuit on. I was still in my uniform. "You can borrow a hoodie of mine." Jake said.

"Oh thanks." I said then I ran upstairs and borrowed a yellow one. I came back down. The table had plates on it, the plates had all sorts of food on them. Crisps, fruit, sausage rolls, yogurts, biscuit, chocolate and sandwiches. "What would you like everyone?" Jake's mom asked. Everyone screamed what they wanted. "What about you?" Jake asked me while picking up up a sausage roll. "Um just a biscuit." I said. " Ok here you go. " He said passing it to me. Honey came and gave Jake a ' I'M 14 TODAY!' birthday badge. He put it on.

"Be truthful with me. Am I acting childish?" He asked me. " No what makes you think that. " I replied. "Um the badge , the party, I don't feel like a teenager.I feel like I'm 10 again. Agh forget it you wouldn't know." He complained. 😐. "Change is hard with me , getting older my feeling are becoming more complicated. I can't understand them and what happened yesterday ugh." He said. "At least you can enjoy your birthday." I said.
" Oh yeah sorry.". He said putting his hand on my shoulder. "When your around me, I assure you, you can be yourself. " he said. I nodded.

"Um when's your birthday again?" I asked. "15 october." I said. "Huh, three weeks from now , ok, cool." he said grinning. "Anyway my mom got an email about the situation with the school yesterday none of us are in trouble luckily no one we know anyway. Do you think I should tell my family about you know what happened yesterday?" He said then he turned red for the millionth time today. " Yes red tomato." I replied.

"Please be serious with me. " her H said then he took my hand and we ran upstairs. "This is really awkward but do you know what I look like naked, did you see properly?" He asked turning redder than before. " Um yeah sorry😅 " I replied awkwardly. "Well now I'm really embarrassed. " He said then he started crying on his birthday. "Sorry I'm sorry um sorry." I apologised continuously .He gripped onto his hair, he looked like he was trying to rip it from his scalp. 

"BOO!" I heard Honey's voice shout . She pushed me onto Jake, our faces were touching and Jake looked like he was going to explode from redness. I could feel myself turning red too. "AGH!" Jake shouted, unable to move. " Um, um, um." He stuttered. "PENELOPE!" He shouted, he didn't sound angry though. I couldn't tell what emotion he was feeling.

I heard Honey snickering then I heard running downstairs and slamming a door. Then I felt something wet, something... Nope I don't want to say it, you can't force me to say it!  I looked into his emerald green eyes. "I guess Honey was right you do love me 😏" I teased. "Said nobody ever. Why must you be like this you either move or you don't." he said "hmm🤔. Well I have to move so you can change." I said then I rolled off him. " Why must you know everything about me? " he said running to the bathroom.
