( 💎 ) appreciation o1.
"Under these skies, I ask.
"When melancholy troubles,
I look to the deep starry skies;
And they say, loneliness always doubles,
When you have a thousand ties."
"Oh, vast heavens,
Where do I find the solace
of my endeavors?
Under the ocean bed or within a warm embrace?"
Of course, this book doesn't technically start from, well, the start as I said it is for special days.
Today is a special day.
Does anyone know why. . .?
I'll announce it myself. Later on, though.
I met this. . . this amazingly spectacular, cool, wonderful (and many adjectives) person here, probably some time last year. I don't quite remember when, and I do apologize for my amnesia. It can be quite bad some times :')
( Edit: I scrolled through my theme shop and found out that you entered my life on May 9th, asking for a Veronica theme. ;))
When I discovered Wattpad, all I wanted was to write stories and pour my imagination out till it dies. Later on, I found that my passion went beyond writing stories. I was much more interested in making graphics that would excite people. It was my goal to entertain the ones who made me smile here whenever I had a blue day.
I remember, once last year, I pretty much had a bad slump with making graphics. I tried learning new techniques, which ended up quite bad. Following tutorials never helped, and I was about to give up on making graphics, including themes, and shut down the theme shop I had.
Then came this customer. *pop*!
She changed her pen name quite often, that at times I wouldn't remember what her pen name was. Lol, no offense though. I would publish her orders with her prev pen name, then remember the new one and take it down for republishing (I hope you didn't catch me doing that. Wait, I blew my cover myself! Oop-). Regardless of that, the person I know now is the same as the one I met. I've only just started to see her beautiful personality!
The wonderful thing here was, her placing orders frequently for all her alts gave me confidence. The more themes I worked on, the better I grew. You know, when somebody orders from only you instead of going elsewhere, you're bound to feel honoured, right? That was how I felt!
I kept goin' until my theme shop, Chamber of Themes, had over 1oo parts, xD! Unfortunately, Wattpad being Glitchpad forced me to shut it down or risk slowing my device. The main reason I made myself an alt was to avoid that. Who knew that the problem would follow me here as well?
I did shut down the shop, but the confidence that she gave me was enough to keep me going. I made her a couple of themes, then decided to open a giveaway shop on my main, called the Sakura Chronicles. It received her kind patronage, for which I'm really grateful, and continued on until December of the last year. The reason I had to close TSC was because of my upcoming boards. They were really integral exams for my career. Boy, should I mention that was quite boring.
When I did take my leave from graphic designing, I swore to come back with better options for her to decide from. Creative designs for my customers to choose from, and an array of them too!
My exams ended in March, and so, I resumed my designing journey with a brand new theme shop, the Spy x Café. As I am writing, I have done twenty-three orders there (and you guessed who patronized the most)!
All right, I shall end this boring, self-centered monologue here.
Choc Donut, (currently Auggie, but I met you as Artemis :p) I dedicate this chapter to you. I'm sure you would have guessed who it was on at the first look.
You have given me the courage and confidence to pursue and hone my designing skills. By no means am I better than anyone here, or out there in the big world, but the tiny fire you lit in me has helped me to keep up until now. I will continue to make these until I no longer have time for anything.
When you pop up after a single text, and send me virtual hugs, I tell you – from the bottom of my heart – that you never cease to put a smile on my face. All the quizzes we have done, the times we try to open a pingu community and fail (I blame myself for that ToT), rants and vents about each other's lives and, of course, fictional characters; they hold a special place in my heart. This emoji ( •>• ) that you developed, escalating the development of numerous others, are a symbol of our bond — that is what I consider it to be.
I imagine placing food and numerous other stuff on my virtual home's porch to be something happening irl. It gives me happiness, truly.
And your recent endeavor, the Slumber Party. I don't have enough words to thank you for including me on there and giving me a Pingu plushie. Please trust me when I say that nobody, and not a single person, has ever included me in their fic by any means. Not even Mari, for that matter.
I originally wanted to write a fic just to dedicate to you, but decided against it because the only people I know of your friend group is you and Tay. Not to mention, it would be copyright infringement xD
I am gonna conclude this chapter here, because anybody else might really find me self-centered for rambling about my life here xD.
As I type these last words, know that you will always hold a special place in my heart, higher than chocolate or donuts do. And I will continue to look at designing as a personification of the gift I received in you. I shall be your friend forever, if you want me to, that is. :]]
To my Choc Donut,
My Fellow Nooter and Pingu 1,
cworkerselevator,
Happiest Birthday, Cutie.
May all the Studio Investigrave characters keep you smiling the way you spread smiles on our faces.
Love,
Miyoko xoxo
