Chapter 9

Apollo entered Percy's room, he knew he had to talk to the young god, but he didn't know what to say. Should he just tell him that he was here for him? Tell him that he cares? He knew he should do both, but how do you do that without scaring someone off? He didn't know.

"Percy?" He called out, maybe if Percy starts the conversation then he can just improvise. "Percy? You here?"

"I'm in here 'Pollo." He heard Percy respond, he followed his voice to a pool. This honestly should have been the first place he looked.

"Perce, you doing okay?" He knew it was a dumb question, but he can't start off from nothing.

"I mean no, but I have to be you know." Sadly he did know, he was the god of medicine, he can't ever be down or ill.

"Hey, how about we play a game and forget everything so far?" Apollo knew what 'game' he wanted to play, but didn't know how Percy would react.

"What game?" Percy asked suspiciously.

"Imagine you are still mortal, you never discovered your past life. What's your everyday life like?" He knew he was stealing this game from Dionysus, but he needed Percy to come to terms with things the only way he knew how.

Percy eyed him apprehensively, "If I was still mortal?"

"Yes, and none of this happened." Apollo knew he might hate the answer he's given, but that would help Percy come to terms with things and figure stuff out.

"Well I would wake up and get breakfast, then from there I would train and do some schooling."

Apollo nodded a light happiness in his chest, in the past when Percy was asked for him daily life he would mention Annabeth before training or before school, now he has seemed to forgot.

"After that I would hang out with him friends and train the new campers. If I was in the city I would go to swim." Percy paused before continuing, "Then I would eat dinner and then head to bed."

Apollo smiled softly, "Now think back to when you answered that as a mortal?"

Percy thought back, last time he answered that question was with Dionysus. "You stole this from Mr. D."

"Yes ssh, answer the question."

Percy laughed, "Last time I answered this question I...." Percy's eyes went wide, "I would mention Annabeth a lot..."

"Yes, now do you think that you didn't because of your past memories or you just think of her as a friend now?"

"I am not in love with her anymore, I know that. I still care for her, but I love her as a friend." Percy said softly, realization forming on his face and in his thoughts.

"Okay, now do you view me as a friend? Do you think your past memories are influencing you still?" Apollo asked wary of the answers.

"I..no I don't view you as a friend. I don't want to kiss my friends, but I also don't know if that's me or....him." Percy looked down, unsure if he can meet Apollos eyes.

"Okay, that's okay. Do you want to know?"

"I...I don't think I do...I love you, I am in love with you. And if that isn't me but instead Hyacinthus, then I don't ever want to know. I am so happy right now I don't want to lose it."

Apollo didn't know whether to be happy, sad, guilty, or all three, but he knew if he ever lost Percy he would lose himself.

"Okay, now what about these visions scare you so much to think I am going to leave?"

"I....I saw you falling from Olympus, you looked sad and scared. I...I don't want that to happen."

Apollo feared he knew what he saw, but also feared it may not a pit induced vision.

"Percy I'm never going to leave you, not willingly at least." Apollo pulled Percy in for a hug.

"Then what-" Apollo softly kissed Percy, he himself wasn't sure what Percy saw. But he knew he can never let it happen.

"I am going to speak with my father, do you want to come with?"

Percy nodded and follow him out of the aquatic room and to the throne room.

"Father!" Apollo called out, hoping Zeus was in the area.

"Apollo." His father greeted as he entered the room. "Why do you call me?"

"Percy saw me being exiled for Olympus, but I don't see a reason for me to be...Did I do something wrong?" Apollo asked slowly, he knew his father was changing but he didn't know how this question may affect him.

"Not that I can think, my son. Are you sure it wasn't pit induced?" Percy flinched when the Pit was mentioned.

"It could be, but father, are you sure?" Apollo knew he was testing his father's patience at this point, but he really needed to know.

"Yes Apollo! Now, is there another issue or no?" Zeus thundered.

"No father. Thank you." Apollo and Percy bowed as they left the room.

A/N: I am not going to include the storyline of the new books that have been released or the Trials of Apollo. Deaths that happen there may be included later on but character development stops after HoO unless they're a god.

Thank you for reading so far, I hope you've enjoyed this series. Because of topics I want to hit on in this book, please keep in mind the Mature rating of this one. If wanted I can make a pg13 version of those topics/scenes for younger readers.
