Chapter 25

Thursday and Friday turned out to pretty normal which was a godsend for Kyle after the nearly month long ups and downs he had experienced. Jonah showed up for the club on Thursday evening, a new kid. Kyle guessed he just needed someone to finally show him they gave a shit. Finding out Bruno and Bo cared certainly helped him turn his life around.

This weekend was going to be a busy one what with his volunteer work and rewriting his paper but tonight was all his. He intended to cut loose and have some fun, and it was about time too.

Travis was in the shower getting ready while he picked out the right outfit for tonight. He decided on his best jeans and a designer tee plus his gray leather biker jacket. Too bad he didn't have a new pair of kicks to go with it. He sighed when he looked at his old pair of Vans and thought maybe if he cleaned them up, and went in search of some cleaning supplies.

A half an hour later after getting Bo's advice on what to use on his once white kicks he was surprised to learn that peroxide did the trick. Who knew? Now they were looking just like new.

Travis was finally ready and it was time to bounce. Ryan came by to pick them up -- he was still on escort duty even though they hadn't sensed anyone following them in days, but Kyle had to suppose that they hadn't sensed Lily before either. So yeah they would all take an Uber to the club.

He couldn't wait to turn sixteen. Bruno promised when they both turned sixteen he'd help them fix up a junker. Kyle was turning sixteen in a month Travis already did in January. It was a hard day for him every year actually, since he was found wandering alone in the Rockies, no one truly knew his real birthday so they just picked the first day of the year. Kyle felt sorry for him the random day must be a constant reminder of what he'd lost.

Travis told him once that he just looks at it like having a birthday on the 30th of February. But all joking aside it truly sucks some times to be a halfblood.

When the Uber arrived and parked at the curb, Kyle dove in first and slid across the seat to the opposite door to take a window seat.

Ryan balked, "No way! not fair," but taking one look at Travis' enormous size he didn't even bother to ask him to sit in the middle, instead he reluctantly took the spot in his place even though Travis offered, he made a point of sparing a begrudging look at Kyle before doing it though.

They arrived at the club to find they were the first ones there and promptly secured their normal seating arrangement on the invisible balcony. There were no cocktail waitresses on the floor at club NYX -- there never were. The philosophy of the owner was if you weren't willing to wait at the bar for your next drink you didn't want one bad enough.

Kyle was true to his word and went up for the first round with Travis. He'd have to gift Travis the amount needed. He'd never been able to gift himself in the entire time he'd known about his talent, which was probably a really good thing -- considering. He'd probably turn in to a real douche bag if he could have anything he wanted.

He got him and Travis a bud and tall glass of coke for Ryan. He never asked if Ryan didn't drink because he was Muslim, and he never would. A person's religious background just wasn't a big deal in the magical world probably because a lot of fullbloods were around since Jesus wore sandals, figuratively and literally.

One by one the gang showed up. And . . . my . . . oh my . . . the girls were on point tonight.

Meg was dresses in a low cut red dress that nearly showed off her navel, and she wasn't shy about it either. You just got to love shifters.

Kelly was wearing her usual two strips of cloth, but this time she was wearing Xander as well, her favorite accessory.

Lauren had on an off the shoulder sequined mirrored shirt that showed off her well endowed chest and made sparkles of light play across her gorgeous face. Her barely there red skirt showed off her shapely legs, but a pair of thigh high black suede boots gave the whole ensemble a finished touch. She had Zach and Quinn following her everywhere she went.

Marley was all over a stunning Liv who was wearing a low cut shimmering silver jumpsuit, he'd be all over her too, but Marley would acquaint him with how hard it is to pick up all his teeth with two broken arms.

Marley was in her usual punk-goth style but tonight she was sporting a pleated mini skirt, a black mesh skin tight shirt with a red lace bra and her thigh high docs -- which in his opinion was always a good look.

Brenna was the shocker though.

She normally didn't wear any make-up or spend a lot of time on her appearance. She was a natural beauty, but tonight the girls must have tied her down, because her long black hair was swept up leaving only wisps to fell down over the nape of her neck, and she was wearing a little black dress with her flats. She even had some subtle make-up on that brought out her beautiful dark brown eyes. The shocker was her ruby red lips; the dark lipstick accentuated her generous mouth. He'd never noticed before how kissable it looked.

When Connor saw her for the first time after he arrived he tripped over thin air, like seriously there was nothing anywhere near him, but all the same, she had him clutching at mid air trying to stay upright.

The girls looked really pleased with themselves over that, apparently that had been the benchmark of a job well done.

The guys weren't to be outdone though.

Aside from drool Connor was wearing a pair of ripped jeans and a tight fitting white American Eagle tee. It was so tight it showed off how ripped his stomach was. They were all working pretty hard in training these days.

Donnie was dressed in his usual blazer, but in this case it was a black leather one with suede lapels. He was wearing a shirt tonight but this time he hadn't bothered to button it. He'd also chosen to wear a tight pair of bright red capris that fell low on his waist accentuating the "v" guys get when they're really cut, Kyle would wonder who he was trying to impress if he couldn't already guess by the mournful looks he was directing in Kelly and Xander's direction. Like wow he was going to have to take him aside and tell him he was telegraphing pretty hard.

He had to give it to the dude though when he set his sights on a catch he set his sights on the big one. But if Kelly found out he'd just described Donnie as Ahab and her as the great white sperm whale in Moby Dick, he'd be going down just like the Pequod did.

Ray was dressed in a pair of purple suede skinny jeans and a white silk scoop neck, tight fitting long sleeve shirt, with a black blazer and scarf. When he went up to grab a drink at the bar he left a wake of girls swooning over him, but he didn't even seem to notice. The guy was a fine looking Asian guy and he didn't even know it.

Travis was dressed in his usual designer jeans and form fitting black t-shirt. Not to say that doesn't work for him any t-shirt he wears accentuates the fact that he's stacked. But with his tremendous size even the largest t-shirts make him look like he shopped at the baby gap for it. Once he'd made the mistake of telling him that, and he'd received a punch to the upper arm that left it deadened for hours, for his troubles.

CJ who always kept it simple with skinny jeans and a shirt was already on the dance floor with a flock of girls. Which left him thinking what was this witchcraft?

Zach and Quinn were on the dance floor with Megan, Cam and Lauren. Quinn was sporting his usual bad boy personified look --- seriously was everything in his wardrobe black, while Zach had the guy next door look down pat. Dressed in light grey slacks, white tee and grey zip up sweater. He had to smirk to himself when he finally realized what the holdup was with Lauren picking one of the two; he assumed she must be waiting until she was powerful enough to meld them both into one perfect guy.

Cam was sporting a pair of black timberlands and ripped skinny jeans and long white tee. He was looking very drakesque -- if that's even a word.

CJ waved frantically to Ryan to come on down to the dance floor. Ryan jumped up like someone had hit him with a red hot poker. You didn't have to ask him twice, he removed his black satin letterman jacket to toss it over a chair nonchalantly before he took off for the magic elevator. A simple white tee and leather pants finished his getup. CJ must be giving him pointers on more than just girls, because this was definitely not his usual attire.

When Kelly stood up to drag Xan out to the dance floor, he stood up stiffly and re-buttoned his form fitting black blazer over his button up white shirt. The shirt was buttoned all the way up to his adams' apple. Don't get him wrong he looked great, but he's no fan of the new trend. It's too hipster for him. Xan made it all work though with his black designer slacks and Italian leather shoes, it made him look like he stepped off the front cover of GQ.

They ended up dancing most of the night and drinking way too much. Let's put it this way no one was feeling any pain --including Lauren.

Zach had had to wrestle a drink out of Lauren's hand while Quinn said, for all to hear, "I think you've had enough drinkerbell."

"Well dang if I've been cut off. I'm dancing," she announced with a slur and dragged both the guys to the dance floor, much to the chagrin of both.

On her way she cast a spell that painted all the party goers in multicolored florescent paint. Kyle couldn't believe his eyes. The colors were mindboggling.

The entire club let out a collective, "oooohhh . . . , " before joining the other colorful dancers on the dance floor.

When Kyle looked around and realized everyone was getting up to dance, he spotted Lara on the other side of the room and grabbed Travis to drag him over to talk to her.

Lara's friend, Rachel, who she had tried to introduce to them a month ago, turned out to be pretty into him, and there was never more than an inch between them on any given song. When they found their way over to the mystic wall Kyle couldn't believe his luck. She was a fine ass Nereid with liquid blue eyes and long slender limbs that kept playing over his body like water. The water nymph was seriously talented with her tongue too.

When he heard a collective gasp from the crowd of party-goers loud enough to drown out a remix of Don't Let Me Down he turned to see what the deal was, but he was immediately sorry he did.

Behind him coming in the door being followed by his band of misfits was Liam and his crew. It took about five seconds for the rest of Kyle's friends to join him near the dance floor, and by the time Liam walked up on him, he was stone cold sober.

What a buzz kill.

That crotch blocking SOB had ruined their night once again.

Now what?!

I hope you all liked this chapter.

Oh crap! Here we go again.

What the freck is Liam after now?

Tune in tomorrow to find out.
