You and I were walking hand in hand one day;

We were both listening to music from an iPod my parents had given me.

I remember the sound of the song Young & Beautiful by Lana Del Ray filtering through the ear buds we were sharing.

When you took yours out I turned to you in confusion.

"Everything okay?" I'd asked.

You nodded and replied, "l was just thinking... you know that line when she sings 'will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?' It was then my turn to nod as you continued, "well, you will always be beautiful to me."

I smiled as I stood on my tiptoes and kissed you.
