The 'Accident'
After the 'Mysterious' text message Krista had received yesterday she still went to school on a chilly Monday morning. She arrived at school and went over to her friends.
"Hey Krista." One of the girls shouted out.
"Hey." She relied letting out a big sigh.
"What's wrong?" Another girl asked.
"Nothing. I just want to forget this whole weekend."
"But it was your birthday weekend. How can you 'forget it'." The same girl asked.
"I know but something happened. Something weird. Can we just forget it?" Krista demanded.
"Sure." The friends said looking confused.
The bell rung and all the students made their way to class. It was English first. Krista walked in and sat at the back. She had a sad expression on her face and then she place her head on the desk. 30 minutes had passed and Krista's teacher had told her to go to Reception because she said she didn't feel very well. The Principle called Krista in her office.
"Krista, what's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing. I'm just having a bad day." Krista told the Principle while fiddling with her fingers underneath the desk.
"Come on, I can tell something's going on. I deal with many students like you. Tell me what's wrong?" She insisted Krista to tell her.
"NOTHING IS GOING ON! Leave me alone!" Krista shouted with anger.
"Fine then I'm going to phone your parents." The Principle told Krista as she turned to the telephone and looked up Krista's parents number on the computer. Once she found it and dialled it. "That's weird."
"What?" Krista questioned knowing something was wrong.
"I can't get hold of your parents." She answered putting the phone down and rushed out the office.
Krista started to get worried and tried to listen on what was happening outside the office. A couple of minutes later the Principle came back in and sat down with a shocked expression on her face.
"What happened?" Krista asked as she leaned forward.
"Urm....Krista...your parents....they...urm have been in....a car accident and they're in hospital."
"What?" Krista whispered and then broke into a cry.
The Principle ran over to Krista and gave her a hug. "Come on I'll drive you home."
"But I want to see my parents." Krista questioned.
"I don't think you do, sweetie. It will only make you even more upset." The Principle explained.
"Okay." Krista agreed.
The Principle drove Krista home and walked her up to the front door. "Your Nan will come over to stay with you and your sister. Okay?" The Principle told Krista.
Krista nodded. "Where's Beth?"
"She wanted to stay at school but she'll be home soon." The Principle said getting back into her car.
Krista walked into her house and the phone rang she went up to it and answered it. "Hello?" No-one answered but she could her heavy breathing in the background so she quickly put the phone down.
The door bell rung and Krista got up from the sofa she was sitting on and she slowly walked up to the door. She grabbed a umbrella from the coat rack and walked up to the door. She looked through the peep-hole and then she backed up.
She placed the umbrella on the floor and opened the door and there stood her nan. She hugged her nan and held onto her tightly. "I'll put the kettle on." Krista's nan said.
"Okay I'm just going to pop out to get some milk we ran out." Krista told her nan and walk outside the house. Krista's nan put the kettle on and looked into the fridge and saw there was a full milk bottle in there.
Krista walked down the street and stood in front of the house she had her birthday at. She walked in and closed it. The door made a big slam behind her as it echoed through the house. She walked into the centre of the room and shouted. "I know what you're doing! You're not gonna get away with this First the message and now my parents! It was you wasn't it? I want you to leave me alone and my family alone or else you're gonna repay!" Suddenly there was a scream from the kitchen and Krista ran into it and saw that this message was written in blood:
"I think I've already gotten away with it! Now get out of my house now!"
"Fine. But this isn't over!" Krista announced.
"Yes I'm just getting started." A snarly voice said from behind Krista.
Krista quickly turned around and there was no-one there. She then heard an evil laughter in the distance. "Old hag." Krista muttered under her breath and walked home. She walked in and went straight into her room. She lay on her bed and looked up at the ceiling.
