Eric sat in his room staring at his ceiling for what felt like eternity, and he knew how long eternity was.

In reality it had only been an hour of nothing but staring at his ceiling.

Roman was the villain, the evil in this world that everyone was ever warned about.

He was uncontrollable, unloving, invisible, the black sheep of the family.

He was a wreckless, emotional train wreck. Any slight emotion and sparks would fly.

He was a murderer. A MURDERER.

What didn't Destiny understand about that?

He killed an entire species basically.

Eric on the other hand was kind, helpful, caring, loving, and sweet.

He was the good guy, he thought about people's feelings, he cared for others, his power couldn't kill thousands of people in a second.

Eric was trustworthy he was thoughtful. He wasn't trying to be "controlling" as Destiny had called it earlier that night.

He was just trying to look out for her.

He cared for her

His heart ached at the thought that she didn't care for him. Not nearly as much as he cared about her.

He didn't understand why, he was nothing but great to her since she got here.

He helped her in ways no one else ever has.

When she first met him, she should've been scared like any other person from earth would've been. But she wasn't, some part of her trusted him right from the beginning because she knew he could be trusted.

There's absolutely no way that the same thing happened with her and Roman.

There's no logical way that she trusted a murderer right from the start.

That'd be crazy, insane, psychotic

Eric thought for forever.

Maybe she was crazy, maybe she liked the thrill of being near someone who could easily kill her with a snap of his fingers.

Why would anyone want that though? Eric could keep her safe from everything. And Roman would only bring that danger to her.

So Eric was going to do everything in his power to keep her as far away from him as possible.
