Returning to the scene of the crime
Misty
We returned for our second year of school, hoping like hell we didn't encounter everything we did last year. Could we get that lucky? Unfortunately, no, we couldn't.
Why may you ask?
Oh, a blast from the past appeared when we saw the one and only Banks in the school halls.
"Call me crazy, but I thought you vanquished this festering sore?" Nathan asked Nash.
"I did," Nash said.
"He doesn't look vanquished. He looks well and alive."
Nash glared at Nathan.
I shook my head, approached our arch-nemesis, and tapped him on the shoulder while the boys argued.
Banks turned to me and arched his brow. "Can I help you?"
I put my hands on my waist. "Why are you here?"
"I'm attending school." He gave me a sideways glance.
"No, you're dead."
He squinted his eyes and scrunched his nose. "What?"
"You're dead. What part didn't you understand?" I held out my palms to him.
"I'm not sure who you are, but I assure you I'm not dead."
"I saw you explode."
"What?"
I nodded.
"Are you crazy?" He cocked his head to the side. "Do you need medical attention or something?"
"I'm not crazy."
"You sound like you're crazy."
A girl sidled up to him and raised her brow at me. "I'm all set. Who's this?"
"Beats me." Banks shrugged. "Just some crazy person rambling about bullshit." He slipped his hand around the girl's waist.
She glanced at me and folded her arms. "Are you a stalker?"
"What?"
She leaned toward me. "A stalker."
"No." I scrunched my face in irritation.
"Then run along, little doggy." She waved me off and smirked.
My eyes narrowed to a slit, and my fists clenched.
Before I could knock this skank on her ass, Nash and the others approached me. The girl's eyes lit up when she saw Nash; it looked like he was a Christmas present she wanted to unwrap. Nash slipped his arm around my waist and tugged me to his side. The girl noticed the gesture as her lips turned downward.
"Problem?" Nash asked.
"Yeah, she's crazy." Banks nodded at me.
"And a dog." The girl's eyes lit up and smirked.
"And who are you?" Nixon asked with his head tilted slightly.
The girl moved from Banks's hold and held a limp hand to Nixon. "Trixie."
Nixon glanced at her hand and raised a brow. "And?"
"And what?"
"What do you want me to do with that information?"
She dropped her hand and scowled at him. "Rude."
"You might want to buy more material since we're not attending a brothel," Nathan said, gesturing at her skimpy skirt and too-tight top.
Noah and Nolan snickered.
"Humph." The girl retreated to Banks.
Nash leaned into the girl and lowered his voice only so we could hear. "If you ever call my girl a dog again, I will rip off your tits."
The girl's eyes bulged as Banks narrowed his eyes to a slit.
Nash shook his head and led me away before all hell broke loose. It would have if we stayed any longer.

I'm not sure what the deal was with Banks' return, but I wasn't sticking around to find out.
"It's good to know the two pain in the asses have returned to cause us more problems," Nix said.
"No shit," Nathan said.
I stopped and turned to the others. "I don't want anyone doing anything until we learn their game. I don't need shit started, putting us on the hot seat."
My cousins nodded in agreement.
I looked at Mags. "What did Banks say to you?"
"Banks claims he doesn't know what I'm talking about and called me crazy," Mags said.
"Great."
"I'm not crazy, Nash."
"No, you're not. But it doesn't help if he assumes you are. Stay away from him."
Mags knitted her brows. My cousins glanced at me but said nothing. After what happened, I wasn't taking any chances this year.

After Nash's order, I walked away and headed to class. I didn't care if I was acting like a petulant child; he was treating me like a porcelain doll, which I was not.
I found a seat when Nash slid into one beside me. I refused to talk to him after his command.
"Mags," Nash whispered.
I ignored him.
"Mags, look at me."
I opened my notebook and jotted down notes.
"Mags, please."
I glanced at Nash. "Oh, you're not commanding me like a dog."
"You're not a dog."
"Right." I nodded. "You just treated me like one." I gathered my things and moved to a different seat, leaving Nash alone.
Before he could follow me, the professor entered the classroom. I refused to bow down to the almighty Nash. He forgets I'm not the same person who followed him around like a lap dog.
I focused on class and jotted notes. When class ended, I gathered my books and started to leave.
Nash caught me before I could leave. "Mags, I'm sorry."
I shook his hand from my arm and turned to him. "Nash, I won't have you bark commands at me. You forget I'm not the same person."
"I didn't mean to bark a command at you, but I don't want anything to happen to you. What happened had scared the hell out of me."
"And you don't think it scared me? You weren't the one who got sucker punch several times. I was. I didn't get a chance to fight back. I know what this thing is capable of doing. I was on the receiving end."
"That's what scared the hell out of me. This thing got you cornered when I was so close. It waited for the right moment to strike and did. I got you back. I don't want to lose you again."
"Then trust me, Nash."
"I do trust you, Mags."
"Then I suggest you stay away from Trixie since she was looking at you like you were her next meal."
"Yeah, that sight didn't escape me." Nash shuddered.
"At least you're not treating me like I'm imagining things." I smirked.
"Hell, no! Trixie or any other girl is the last person on my mind. I prefer to focus on you." Nash snaked his arm around me and tugged me to him before capturing my lips.
I didn't hesitate to return his kiss.

I hate when Mags and I argue. It makes my dick itch, and not in a good way. I saw Trixie checking me out and hated every minute of it. But it doesn't surprise me since it's Trina.
We broke from our kiss, and I slipped my hand into Mags' before leaving the classroom. We walked to our next class hand in hand and found a seat. It didn't help that Trixie was in our class and found a seat at my eye level.
Mags and I exchanged curious glances and waited for her next move. It didn't take long when she started running her hand around her top, trying to act seductive. We raised our brows and rolled our eyes before focusing on the professor.
Once class ended, we headed to the exit when a hand stopped me. I glanced at the feminine hand with red painted nails on my arm before shifting my gaze to its owner.
Trixie tried to smile seductively while licking her lips, hoping it would get my attention. It got my attention, alright. But not in a good way. Mags stood beside me, looking unimpressed. She wasn't the only one.
"I'll give you five seconds to remove your hand from me," I said.
"I tried calling your name, but you didn't stop." She arched her brow and smirked.
"You're not very bright, are you?" I glanced at her hand still on me.
"Oh, you don't mean that." She cackled like a hyena.
"Oh, yes, he did," Mags piped in.
Trixie glared at Mags. "Get lost, dog."
"Time's up." I gripped her hand and sent an electrical current through her body.
Her body flopped around like a fist and landed on the floor while jerking uncontrollably. I glanced at her, shook my head, and left the classroom with Mags.
"Well, we witnessed stupidity at its finest with Trixie," Mags said.
"No shit."
"Shouldn't demons get smarter, not dumber?"
"You would think."
Nathan and Noah approached us in the hallway.
"Well, you'll be happy to know the douche Maggie approached isn't Banks," Noah said.
"Wait. What?" I asked.
"His name is Bryce," Nathan said.
I cocked my head slightly and squinted my eyes.
"Nash, those two tools might have returned to cause problems for you and Maggie," Noah said.
"It doesn't help that Maggie confronted the dick and accused him of dying," Nathan said.
"I'm not crazy," Mags reaffirmed.
"We're not saying you are. Will you chill?" Noah asked.
Mags glared at Noah.
Nolan walked up with Bria and handed Noah a piece of paper.
"What's that?" I nodded to the paper exchanged between them.
"Nathan and Nolan wanted me to follow that douche. So I did." He shrugged.
I looked at the ceiling. "Christ."
"Nash, relax. I didn't approach the asshole. Bria and I acted casually. Plus, I wasn't with you all when Maggie flipped out with the dick."
Mags glowered at Nolan. My girl was going to beat a bitch if we stayed here. I grabbed her hand and dragged her away so she and my cousins didn't throwdown in the corridor. I didn't need to draw attention to us.
We needed to figure out Bryce and Trixie's plan before we acted. My gut was screaming at me that we were dealing with the same demon as last time, and that didn't sit well with me.
