The Hanging Girl is basically about a young female child who was born with Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). She's very introverted, and is distant, even to her parents. Although she doesn't know it, she is able to see the deceased, and those deceased happen to be attracted to her, making her dream of and witness many death experiences and even the bodies of the dead themselves in both the dream and real worlds. In the outside world, she was deemed an outcast and was bullied by many in the schools she went to, though it's mainly because they're afraid of her for being "different."
        Over the course of seven years, the voices in her head and the visions and flashes of the dead break her down, and they got her to hang herself through certain means of "salvation."
        Now a spirit who takes on the form of a 10-year-old, she sets out to find her victims, only in the range of ages 5-18, and haunts them to study them as a way to deem them worthy of living or not. She deems the unworthy if they are ungrateful, spoiled senseless, a bully, taking things for granted, or just a jerk overall, and worthy if they are a good person who means well.
    If the answer is no, she puts them in a trance and coaxes them to hang themselves, just as she was.
    If the answer is yes, then she leaves behind a small "freed," or having its strings cut off, marionette on the pillow in their bed with a note saying, "Take care of her"
    If they are the ones suffering, then the spirit of Isabelle will haunt the ones causing their suffering and lead them to the same fate as the first outcome, and giving the victim the second outcome.
        Isabelle, as both living and deceased, does not trust anyone- at all. The only exception would be three years after her suicide, when she meets a fellow mental sufferer, though of different standards. They have some things in common, and eventually the person she meets becomes her "proxy."
