The Storm

The alarm is still going and Professor Balix seems unconcerned by Zacharias being locked out with the cultists.

"Mr Amari is capable of hiding, there's nothing I can do, Miss Moon. Now, hide, you may be their leaders' daughter but that doesn't mean they won't hurt you." He orders quietly before trotting off and I hurry back to the others, sliding down the wall.

"He won't do anything," I hiss, barely stopping myself from pulling at my own hair. "We need to do something. He's out there alone." Beckett looks up, looking strangely relieved.

"No, he's not. Sol's out there too," He whispers, thinking this is good news. I can imagine Zacharias and Sol hiding in a cupboard or store room, listening to heavy footsteps getting slowly closer... Beckett touches my arm, getting me out of my own head. "Sol survived alone in the mirror realm with shadow monsters, I think they can handle keeping Zacharias safe from some cultists." I nod as there's a banging on the doors and they start to come off the hinges. I take Beckett and Alena's hands as they crash to the ground, making people scream. I peer from behind the curtain to see who's there. Men and women in white suits with red splotches walk into the room in front of someone I recognise. He walks in, his white suit flawless compared to his followers, his platinum hair passes his shoulders and his blue eyes, Sol's blue eyes, cold and calculating, survey the room before landing on Professor Balix.

"Silas, old friend, you kept your word," Aloysius drawls in a British accent and I look at Professor Balix before another follower walks in, dragging Zacharias in. "Be careful with the boy, he worked hard on looking nice for this masquerade. I will carry him while Silas tells me where my daughter is." Professor Balix looks at him with love and I remember his prophecy, falling in love with someone who will never love him back.

"She's behind that curtain," He points at the curtain and I quickly hide behind it, tears going down my face. "She's the one in the silver dress." The curtain is pulled back and I see Aloysius holding Zacharias as cultists force me, Beckett and Alena to stand up.

"Let them go, assholes," I spit at the two men holding Beckett and Alena against the wall as I'm dragged to Aloyisus and thrown to my knees. "Hello Aloysius. As much as I hate you, I have to know, how do you get your hair so straight?" He smiles, looking Zacharias closely.

"As much as I hate you calling your father by his name, Luna, I use hair straighteners and magic," He slowly sets down Zacharias and nods at Beckett. "Is he your boyfriend? He's almost as pretty as his sister," He clicks his fingers and Professor Bishop walks in with Sol ahead of her. Sol's bloody and angry. "Solace, you've been busy. Between defeating my shadows, finding your sister and realising you're non-binary, you have had a long three months." Sol is forced beside me and spits blood at him as he kneels down in front of us.

"Fuck you," He slaps them and I surge forward before he casually waves a hand, wind knocking me back. "Don't you dare touch her! I'll kill you!" Everyone else is running out of the room, some hesitanting like Cordelia and others not looking back like Xavier. Beckett and Alena are forced beside me and Sol. Beckett looks at his sister, looking so betrayed that I want to punch her.

"Colbie...Why are you doing this?" He asks, tears going down his face as he nods at Aloysius. "He's the reason our grandparents are dead...He's the reason I saw them die, why are you helping him?" She bends down and touches his shoulder.

"I'm doing this to protect you," She whispers, looking like she honestly cares about him. "Luna will destory you, I don't want to lose you too." Beckett shrugs her off and Aloysius sighs, looking between me and Beckett.

"I think it's too late, Colbie. They're in love," He explains, gesturing for us to be lifted up and smirks at me and Sol. "Now, I think it's time for a family reunion...Maybe more of a reveal," I look up and see John walking in with a cocky smile until he sees Alena who looks heart broken. "Ash, it's time to show everyone who you are." John looks at Aloysius and for a moment, I think he's going to say no but he bows his head. His hair changes from dark blond to honey blond and he becomes paler before he looks up, his green eyes now blue. Alena steps back, looking like she wants to be sick and Ash automatically follows her.

"I'm not who I said I was but everything else was real...I love you," Alena keeps stepping away, terrified...Like in my vision. "I'm still the guy who fell for, please believe me." He begs and she swallows, holding her elbows.

"I do not know who you are...I did not fall for you, I fell for John," She says softly and I see a tear go down his face before he quickly wipes it away. "Leave me alone. I do not know you or love you." Ash walks over to Aloysius who pats him with a smile.

"Don't worry, Ash. You can fall in love again," He says, clearly trying to comfort him and I look at Ash who seems so sad. "Luna, did you know about Ash?" I look down and can feel Alena's gaze on me before seeing Zacharias' eyes open. "Luna, answer me." Aloysius commands, forcing me to look at him and I close my eyes, hoping Zacharias has a plan or anything.

"Yes...I saw him and Professor Crescent together and pieced it together after Professor Balix told me about the potion," I glance at Zacharias who mouths something to me, Familiars. I turn to Alena who looks fake angry which means she saw too. "I swear I was going to tell you and Rias after the ball, I didn't know how to tell you." I subtly send magic into the void as the others do and I hear heels clicking behind me and turn to see Professor Crescent holding something in a plastic bag.

"I hope you weren't getting your familiars to help you," She drops the contents onto the floor and I see a raven with scales and a broken neck...Diablo. "I killed this one, the others are trapped in my office...Hopefully your Nainaes won't eat the chocolate I left out." Beckett quickly grabs me and looks coldly at Aloysius.

"What do you want? Your children?" Beckett demands, looking terrified, more for Pascal than anyone and Aloysius nods. "Luna and Sol hate you and I think Ash isn't far behind them," He steps forward, metal creaking around us. "Besides, you have to go through us to get them." Aloysius smiles, taking something out of his pocket.

"Actually, Mr Bishop, I just have to go through you," He croons before throwing a strange knife at Beckett and I throw myself in front of Beckett before I'm shoved out of the way, banging my head on the floor. "STUPID CHILD!" Aloysius screams as I see who pushed me out of the way. Sol looks down at the knife in their chest before looking at me. They open their mouth and blood comes out before they fall to their knees.
