Chapter Five
People stopped what they were doing to watch the figure walk through their camp. His cloak fluttered with every step he took. He radiated power and control, some people thought the sudden urge to bow before him.
Where ever he walked, a cold feeling hung in the air, and they could tell that he did not want to be here.
Kelios was the name of the powerful stranger. Saviour of the Universe. Champion to Jesna. Slayer of Huntra. Tamer of Kerstia. He went by many names, but only few dared to address him.
"Where is your leader?" The poor girl that he asked looked about ready to faint at the sight of him. She meakly pointed to her left. "You have my thanks." He said to the girl and made his way to the newly renovated Crown House.
An expansion had been made. The building was much bigger than Kelios remembered. Instead of the fading baby blue he'd come to love, the Crown House was painted with a blinding electric blue.
Kelios hated it. Menile was in regular form, playing a card game with a Leggner and a brightly dressed council member.
"I win again." Menile announced and Drocos groaned. "Unbelievable." Kelios stood before Menile and Drocos. The two mentors looked at the stranger, while the Leggner tried not to look anywhere near him. "Hello, there." Menile said. "May I help you?" "I am Kelios, general to the Order of Jesna. I have come to thank you for your hospitality and properly introduce myself." He turned to walk away when the Leggner bleated nervously. "Do you know where you're going?" Kelios turned, "Unfortunately, I do not." "Go with him, Clove. Show him to his cabin." Droco mumbled while resetting their card game.
The Leggner scrambled to his feet and Kelios noticed the lord swirl on his head. "You must be Clove, the newly appointed lord of the Untras."
The pair walked through the camp towards where the Order would be staying. They passed the basketball courts and strawberry fields. "Yeah. It isn't really 'newly appointed', more like 'appointed a few centuries ago'." He replied.
"My apologies." Clove led him towards the lake. There, on the edge of the shore, was a homely looking cabin. It was made entirely of wood and had smoke coming out of the chimney Clove seemed to notice the face he was making in the direction of the small building.
"Do you not like it?" Clove asked nervously. "No, no. It is just, not what I expected." Kelios smiled and left Clove where he was standing.
Starmine and Maximos were waiting for their leader outside their new home. The Inaili were giving them directions of the camp, but neither of them seemed to be listening, instead, their eyes were trained on the face of Kelios- waiting for a reaction.
"That will be all." Their leader spoke up from behind the campers and they all turned to face him. "You think you can find your way around here?" The Kurstar kid asked. "I'm sorry, but who are you?" He asked. His comrades chuckled and one of the Inaili even cracked a smile.
"I am Therious. Son of Kurstar. One of the Princes." He said purposefully, but no one was listening.
You see, the Princes had docked in Revse for a while- just after Raezil and Lena had escaped the underground world of Giean. Lena had told the others about Raezil's display of power against Maidhe. Things happened and a new member was appointed, because of 'casualties'. And apparently, he was also named after a deceased Inaili.
"We'll be on our way, then. If you need anything, your comrades know how to contact us." Gune said and the Inaili's headed back to their camp.
The Order watched them leave, waiting for them to be a safe distance away, before they all sighed and threw their cloaks to the side. "Starmine." Kelios addressed her and she nodded. Her hands shot into the air and a beam of light went into the sky, before exploding and casting a spell around their cabin. "Since we missed our 2o'clock training, we will train until dinner. Ready? Begin." Weapons materialized with snaps of fingers, flicks of wrists, and the tightening of grips. Kelios whistled and they began sparring.
