27. Discussions With Dumbledore
Y/N L/N was walking down a dark path, both physically and mentally. He was currently walking down a dimly-lit path with no one else nearby. He was also walking down a dark path mentally, he had been shunned out from his family after the murder of his own father and he was starting to feel quite uneasy with himself. There was something inside Y/N, something begging to come out that Y/N tried his very hardest to suppress.
Indeed there was this slightly psychotic part of him, the part which wanted to kill and the part which felt no remorse watching the Sawyer's house burn down and the part that wanted to do Voldemort's bidding. However, Y/N kept that part of him locked away, deep within him. For now, he was still a good person.
After being sent away by his own mother, Y/N had no choice but to return back to Hogwarts and be bombarded with interrogations, from Draco, from his friends, from Hermione and from Dumbledore.
Dumbledore. How he hated that man. Every time Y/N even thought about him, there was a bitter taste in his mouth that made his stomach clench in disgust. At first, when Dumbledore had first proposed the Double Agent plan to Y/N, he thought that it was a good idea and that he should trust Dumbledore because Dumbledore knew best.
That was the wrong move.
Because of Dumbledore's need to manipulate and get other people to do his work, Y/N had endured so much physical and mental suffering that the boy was one step closer to losing his humanity. Dumbledore wanted to use Y/N to save the Wizarding World from the Dark Lord, Voldemort but if Dumbledore wasn't careful and always put his priorities in front of Y/N, there was a possibility that the Wizarding World were not safe from Y/N L/N.
After he had arrived in Hogsmeade, Y/N began walking up towards the castle, it was a long journey on foot but Y/N still did it and he made his way to Hogwarts and to Dumbledore's office.
"There he is..."
Groups of students all decided to comment on Y/N's reappearance at the castle, his ears were filled with rumours and gossip.
"Look who decided to show up, disappears for a few days and shows up like nothing ever happened. He thinks he's so special." a boy said menacingly to his friends.
Y/N turned in the blink of an eye and grabbed the boy by his throat. The boy looked instantly frightened and a crowd had gathered, watching the scene go down.
"Listen here you fucking bastard," Y/N spat menacingly, "I don't fucking appreciate you talking about me like that, especially behind my back. If you have something to say, say it to my fucking face."
Y/N looked at the boy who was whimpering slightly. His lips trembled and he tried to divert his eyes from Y/N's angry glare.
"So have you got anything to say to me?" Y/N demanded.
The boy quickly shook his head and looked down.
"I thought the fuck not." Y/N said and released his grip, letting the Gryffindor boy scamper off back to his group of friends.
"If anyone else has got a problem with me, tell me now to my face," Y/N yelled to the group of students who looked at the boy fearfully, "if you don't, then piss off."
All the students hurried off and were muttering quietly under their breaths. Y/N rolled his eyes and proceeded to make his way to Dumbledore's office.
"I bet he'll be real happy when he finds out what I did." Y/N muttered to himself.
Arriving at the Headmaster's office, Y/N didn't bother knocking and walked straight in, he was met with Dumbledore and Harry both talking.
"Interrupting something am I?" Y/N asked carelessly.
Harry looked shocked at Y/N's appearance. The boy still had his platinum blonde hair which hid his identity but there was something about his eyes that seemed off...they seemed darker...and more evil.
"Harry," Dumbledore said to the other boy, "we will continue this conversation another day."
Harry nodded and began to leave the room, when he passed Y/N he gave the taller boy a small smile.
"I'm assuming your trip with Voldemort has reached it's end?" Dumbledore asked Y/N once Harry had left his office.
Y/N looked at Dumbledore. "Yeah, it was great thanks for asking," Y/N said sarcastically, "I had to kill a whole family of Muggles and to top that off I had to kill my fucking dad."
Dumbledore was filled with shock. "You killed Steven?"
"Are you getting so old that you can't hear anymore? Yes, I had to kill my own fucking father." Y/N replied angrily, a dangerous and sadistic glint in his eyes.
Dumbledore sighed. "I didn't think he was going to do that..."
"YOU DON'T FUCKING THINK DO YOU?" Y/N roared, his finger pointing accusingly at Dumbledore. "HE MADE ME KILL NOT ONLY ONE PERSON, HE MADE ME KILL FOUR! AND ONE OF THEM WAS MY OWN FUCKING FATHER! AND NOW MY FAMILY HATES ME AND THEY'VE SHUT ME OUT AND I'VE BECOME SOMEONE THAT EVEN I DON'T RECOGNISE ANYMORE, ALL FOR WHAT DUMBLEDORE? NOTHING. BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING THAT I FOUND OUT OVER THAT WEEKEND APART SO WHAT WAS IT ALL FOR? IF YOU DIDN'T FUCKING FORCE ME TO GO THEN MY DAD WOULD STILL BE ALIVE."
Y/N had lost it and he withdrew his wand from his pocket and pointed it straight at Dumbledore.
"I'm going to kill you." he whispered. "I'm going to fucking blow you apart and let Nagini eat your remains."
"You don't truly mean that Y/N," Dumbledore said although there was a flicker of fear in his eyes, "I know you, you're still that little first year that everyone adored. You were innocent, you were lovable and you were smart. This isn't you Y/N, you've been through an ordeal and I apologise for putting you through it but you need to fight it. You cannot let this darkness consume you."
The younger boy had a single tear trickle down his cheek as he reminisced of the more simpler times when everything was good and everything was easy.
"Why did you do this to me?" Y/N croaked out. "Why did you need me for this?"
Dumbledore looked sadly at the broken boy. "Because...there is a prophecy."
"I know there's a prophecy," Y/N spat, "I saw it when we went to the Department of Mysteries, I know that he can't kill me."
"That's not it all..." Dumbledore replied.
"Are you going to fucking tell me what it is?" Y/N demanded.
"You know that Harry's prophecy is that neither he or Voldemort can be alive. One of them has to die." Dumbledore explained.
Y/N interjected. "Which is extremely fucked up, you've been raising him and preparing this whole time just for him to die because Voldemort can't die if Harry doesn't die because of some weird messed up Horcrux shit."
"I cannot recall your full prophecy Y/N."
"Bullshit." Y/N said quickly.
"I'm afraid I couldn't tell you what it was." Dumbledore said, although he was lying. There was a prophecy and he sure knew what it was.
But Y/N could never know.
"THAT'S LIES AND YOU KNOW IT! STOP LYING TO ME!" Y/N yelled.
Dumbledore said nothing.
There was silence as the younger boy regained his composure. Dumbledore walked towards a painting and spoke to it but Y/N paid no attention.
Y/N wanted the pain to stop, he wanted it to end. He wanted redemption but he was unsure of how he could seek it, it felt like it was too late for him. That he couldn't be saved.
He wanted to cry, but he refused to show his weakness in front of the pathetic man known as Dumbledore, so instead he stared blankly at the wall.
There was a gentle knock on the door and Professor McGonagall walked in. Dumbledore smiled at her.
"Minerva, could you do me a favour?"
McGonagall nodded.
"Excellent," Dumbledore beamed, "can you please bring Ronald and Ginerva Weasley, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger to my office please."
"Of course Headmaster." McGonagall said curtly before walking out the office.
"Why did you need them?" Y/N asked Dumbledore.
"I'm sending them all to the Burrow," Dumbledore explained, "I am sure Joyce would want a funeral for Steven."
The mention of Y/N's mother's name made the boy feel uneasy. The thought and memory of what had happened between him and his father was too much to think about.
"Oh..." Y/N said, "got it..."
"I'm assuming that you would wish to attend the funeral?" Dumbledore questioned.
Y/N shook his head. "My mother wouldn't want me there."
"That's where you're wrong, she would want you there." Dumbledore replied.
Y/N was conflicted. He wanted to go but he knew that everyone would never look at him in the same way when they found out what Y/N had done.
"I'll think about it." Y/N muttered.
The door reopened again and in walked Ron, Ginny, Harry and Hermione. All four looked extremely shocked as to why they had been called and they all looked at Y/N.
"Wonderful," Dumbledore said, trying to keep the atmosphere light and positive, "I will be sending you all to the Burrow for the next couple of days, I don't belive your Professors will be setting you much work so do not fret Miss Granger, you will not be missing much."
Hermione closed her mouth and had a sheepish expression.
"Take this portkey." Dumbledore instructed and handed over an old boot to the four students. Y/N watched as they all gave him a confused look before disappearing to the Burrow.
Once they had arrived, Mrs Weasley had already been informed of their arrival the four Hogwarts students looked around the room. The room was filled with a large amount of adults, all with grave expressions.
"Mum what's happening?" Ron asked his mother before looking at Nick, someone he had never seen before. "And who's he?"
"Nick Sawyer," Nick greeted, his eyes wandering around the room, and his face blank and stern, "nice to meet you all."
When he looked at Hermione, Hermione made eye contact with him and they both promptly looked away.
"So what's happening?" Harry asked again.
She had a sad look on her face and motioned to Joyce and Issac L/N.
"My father...he's dead." Issac said sadly.
The four gasped.
"H-how?" Hermione questioned.
Silence.
Then Joyce spoke.
"He was murdered by a Death Eater."
