Chapter 13 Captain America
I shoved the door I'd seen Bucky run through open and found myself on a balcony. Tony, Sharon, and Natasha were all out cold.
I jumped over the railing to save time. Someone shrieked in surprise just behind me.
"Captain!"
I turned around. Skye was sitting on the ground leaned against the wall. She winced when she moved.
"Look before you leap will you?" She gave me a pained smile.
I knelt at her side. "What happened? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Just a broken rib. Don't worry about me, worry about what Buck is going to do when he reaches the helicopter on the helipad." She nodded toward four stairs that led to another door. She hissed as she moved, pulling a tablet out of her bag. "There's stairs leading up to the helipad on the other side of the door. You got here just as Buck left so he shouldn't quite be there yet."
"Are you sure you're-"
"Stop Buck. We don't want him to get away."
I hesitated, then nodded. I stood up and ran toward the door. I jumped over all four stairs and pushed through the door. I still ached from being shoved into the elevator.
The stairs ended at another door, which creaked when I opened it. Bucky was sitting in the cockpit of the helicopter. He had his hands on the controls. The blades were spinning and the helicopter was hovering a foot off the ground.
When he noticed me he started guiding the helicopter toward the edge. I sprinted forward and grabbed hold of the bar underneath. I hoped that I would be able to hold the helicopter on the ground. Instead, my feet dragged along the ground as the helicopter flew toward the edge.
I readjusted my grip. Maybe if I could hold onto the orange bar that lined the edge of the helipad...
My feet hit the orange bar and I let go of the helicopter with my right hand and quickly caught the bar. My muscles strained to keep the helicopter from flying away. I tried to pull the helicopter back.
The helicopter jerked toward me. There was no way I had done that. Bucky must be crashing it. I let go of the helicopter and the bar and started running toward the opposite end of the helipad. The helicopter's blades tore at the cement not five feet from me. I dove out of the way as the engine whined, trying to keep the blades spinning against the hard surface.
I had to get Bucky out. I got to my feet and ran back around the blades to the pilot window. I started to pry the door open when Bucky's metal arm broke through the glass, his hand wrapping around my neck.
I held his wrist with both hands and pushed. The helicopter tilted over the edge and started falling toward the river.
Bucky's hand released me as the helicopter hit the water, sending up an enormous splash.
Inside the sinking helicopter Bucky appeared to be unconscious. I swam down and jerked the door open. I pulled him out and swam toward the surface and shore.
When we reached the grassy edge of the water I laid Bucky down on the ground. He coughed up a bit of water, but otherwise remained motionless.
A older gray car rolled into the parking lot closest to us. I gave the car an annoyed look. Please don't be Tony or Rhodey again.
The car sat there for about a minute before Sam got out of the driver's seat. He jogged toward me, glancing back to the car every couple seconds.
"How's our metal armed friend?" he asked, looking down at Bucky for about a second before glancing back at the car again.
"Unconscious," I said. "If you could open the back door we can prop him up and drive somewhere out of the way."
Sam nodded. "Sounds like a plan, Cap. I had to force Skye to stay in the car. She has a broken rib on her right side."
I couldn't help but smile a bit as I picked Bucky up. I'd only known her for around four months and there was already some information that didn't surprise me.
Sam led the way back to the car and opened the car door for me. I pushed Bucky to the opposite side of the car so I could get in. Skye was sitting in the front seat, which was reclined all the way back. She looked like she was rebuilding a phone.
"Hey Steve," she said in a bored tone as I buckled Bucky in behind her.
"Hey." I buckled myself in and leaned forward. "Are you good?"
Skye gave me a sarcastic thumbs up. "Never better," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm feeling A-okay."
Sam got into the driver's seat and started the engine. He started driving through the twisting streets of Berlin. I got the strong feeling that none of us knew where we were going.

Hello everyone! I know I'm messing up a lot of things here. It's been a couple months since I watched the movie and YouTube isn't as accurate as it could be.
If you have ANY characters you want me to add, just let me know.
Let me know what you think! I really love getting feedback from all of you. I appreciate criticism as long as it's constructive criticism, just saying "It sucked" isn't helpful. I want to know the why and what I can do to change it so I don't do it again.
May the wind blow strong in your sails! Live long and prosper.
