Chapter 10 Captain America
I know I put this song in the start of chapter 21 in A Rookie's Flight, but it's just so catchy! Make sure you look at the picture too. :D Though this one \/ is good too.

The flight to London had felt much longer than it would have under normal circumstances. Sam had sat next to me and Skye had sat just across the aisle. Apparently the person who sat down next to her was a friend, because after about five minutes they were chatting about technology and they both had their phones out.
We had landed late in the afternoon and Skye had offered to drive us to the hotel we would be spending the night in. She had introduced us to the man who had been next to her on the plane. His name was Aiden, and I agreed to let him come with us.
The car came to a stop and Skye turned it off. "Here we are!" she said cheerfully and I could tell she was trying to be upbeat for my sake. She wasn't doing very well, but at least she was trying.
Aiden got out of the car and put on his black baseball cap. He smiled at Skye. "I'll catch you tomorrow then."
"Righto," Skye opened her door and got out, grabbing my bag along with hers. She walked to the door to the hotel and waited patiently for us as Aiden jogged away.
Sam looked over at me. "Coming Captain?"
I blinked. "Yes." I opened my door at the same time Sam opened his, and got out.
Skye held the door open for me and Sam when we got close enough.
I walked up to the counter. "Hello," I said to the man.
He looked up from his book and smiled. "What can I do for you sir?"
"I booked a room this morning and I'm here for the keys."
The man set down his book and turned his gaze to the computer. "Last name?"
"Rogers."
Skye examined Red Wing, which had just been given to her by Sam. "What's wrong with him?" she asked quietly.
The man behind the counter glanced at Skye and Sam, then looked at me and his eyes widened. "Right. Uh... here's your keys. You want three?"
"Yes please." I knew exactly what his look meant. My blue duffel bag had a very round bulge in it that anyone with sense could tell was my shield if they recognized me, Skye, or Sam.
He handed me the keys. "Room four hundred two. Have a good day."
"Thank you." I walked over to Skye and Sam and took my bag. "You might not want to hold that here," I whispered to Skye. "That guy recognized us."
Skye quickly pushed Red Wing into her bag. "Roger that," she murmured.
Sam grinned. "Nice."
I gave them both reproachful looks. "Let's just go. We have room four hundred two."
I held the front corner of Peggy's coffin, which was covered by England's flag with a bouquet of white flowers slightly off center. Sam was next to me and there were two other men carrying the back.
Skye's graceful and delicate looking drone, which she had built the previous night in our hotel room and was supposed to be made in Peggy's honor, flew in front of us at the same pace we were walking. Several people glared at the drone, but Skye didn't notice. She stood at the front, leaning around the people, eyes locked on her drone. The controller was a simple joystick with a power button. Skye had used the excuse of not having enough time to make a proper controller.
We placed the coffin on a table with a white cover rimmed with flowers. Sam and I joined Skye, who landed her drone skillfully in the center of the coffin.
Sam nudged me and flicked a hand toward the podium. I looked up and blinked. Sharon stood behind the microphone.
Skye looked just as surprised. "Why is she giving the speech?" she asked quietly.
I shook my head. "I don't know. I suppose we'll find out."
Sharon cleared her throat. "While most of you here probably knew her as Margaret Carter... I knew her as Aunt Peggy."
Skye tilted her head at Sharon with a slightly surprised expression. Apparently she hadn't found that little tidbit anywhere.
"She always had a picture of her standing next to FDR. She set the bar high, which is why I've never told anyone we were related." She looked directly at me. "She always told me that when anyone disagrees with you, that's you plant yourself like a tree, and tell them no."
Sharon continued talking, but my mind remained fixed on what she said. That's when you plant yourself like a tree, and tell them no. I guessed she knew about the Sokovia Accords, she likely wouldn't have said it if Sam, Skye, and I weren't standing in the front row.
People started filing out after Sharon left the stage. Sam glanced at me once before also heading for the door. Skye hesitated, glancing at the coffin, before leaning back against the short wall behind us and staying at my side.
The church emptied quickly, before long, Skye and I were the only ones inside. Neither of us said a word, and neither of us moved.
I heard soft footsteps and turned to look. Natasha walked quickly up the aisle toward us. She reached us and looked toward Peggy's coffin before turning back to Skye and I. I looked back toward the coffin.
"Hey Nat," Skye said quietly.
"Hey," Natasha said.
"Why are you here?" I asked her, glancing over.
Natasha leaned against the wall on Skye's opposite side. "I didn't want you two to be alone."
I gave her a small smile. Skye's eyes started to drift closed. "Skye, you don't need to stay."
Skye jerked up and looked at me sleepily. "Yes I do Captain," she murmured. "I'm not that tired."
I put a hand on her shoulder. "Yes you are. Let's go."
