Officer Rebecca and I stood up to go to the kitchen. As I stood up Luke kissed my hand telling me to be careful. I followed Officer Rebecca to the kitchen knowing what we are going there for. "Jenny, I couldn't help but notice, when Officer Andrew said you fathers name you flinched. Why is that?" she asked.

"Uh... I-I d-don't know wh-what y-you are t-talking about," I stuttered.

"Jenny, please tell me why you flinched. I can help you," she said.

"I need proof first. Can I come to see you Tuesday after school?" I asked.

"Yes, absolutely!" Officer Rebecca smiled.

"Okay," I said and went back to Luke.

"Well thank you for your time. Jenny if you are not home by tomorrow after school I will have to come back and take you back there myself," Officer Andrew said.

"Yes sir," I nodded and with that they left.

"So you and Luke are a thing?" Casady asked. Luke and I looked at each other and laughed.

"No, we are not a thing," I laughed.

"Not yet anyway," Luke smirked.

"Good because I was scared for a minuet, and Luke she is off limits until tomorrow remember," Casady sighed.

"Well this has been a long day, and you guys have school tomorrow," Haden yawned.

"Wait, what school are you guys going to?" I asked.

"We are going to sunshine high, and you?" Luke asked.

"Me too!" I squealed, "Do you have your schedule?"

"Yeah, here it is," Luke said handing me his schedule.

"We have all the same classes," I said.

"Awesome! Too bad Casady is a senior," Luke smiled.

"We should get some sleep it has been a long day, I have work tomorrow, and you guys have school." Haden said.

"Okay, goodnight, " I said and laid down on the couch and drifted off to sleep.

I sat up breathing heavy with tears streaming down my face and sweat dripping off my forehead. I slowly walked up the steep stairs to the main hallway, and started my my way down the long dark corridor. Once I got to Luke's bedroom door I opened it ever so slowly. I walked over to the sleeping boy with tears still flowing down my face, as if someone turned on the faucet to my eyes, and I am unable to turn it off. I poked the sleeping brunette to wake him and said, "Luke, wake up, please."

"What do you need Princess?" he asked sleepily.

"I-I had a b-bad dream," I cried.

"What was it about?" Luke asked concerned.

"Y-You tried t-to s-save m-me and t-then a dark f-figure c-came a-and k-killed you, Casady and Haden," I sobbed into his shoulder.

"Shh, it's okay. I'm fine. We are all okay," Luke said hugging me and rubbing my back.

"C-Can I stay with you tonight?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course you can," he said laying back down. He tapped the bed next to him telling me to lay down next to him. I laid down next to him and snuggled up next to him. "You know, I could get used to this," Luke giggled.

"Don't! Remember what the police said? I have to go home tomorrow," I reminded snuggling closer to him.

"Awe, but don't want you to leave. Why did he give you until tomorrow anyway?" Luke asked hugging me tighter.

"Officer Andrew in my uncle, and I don't want to leave either, but I'll be back I promise," I promised.

"Okay, goodnight princess," Luke said kissing my forehead.

"Goodnight," I said letting myself drift of into a dreamless slumber.

I woke up to someone screeching at the top of their lungs. I woke you to see that Luke was hugging me. "Well, good morning sunshine," Luke smiled.

"Morning, so why is Casady screaming?" I asked.

"Well, she opened the door and started to tell me that she couldn't find you. Then she started fangirling because you look good in my arms," Luke smirked.

"No, just no. I need go get dressed and pack," I said.

"Your not leaving me yet," Luke smirked again.

Yes, I am," I said and got up. I walked out the door to Casady's room, grabbed my uniform for school, and went to the bathroom and got dressed.

"Jenny, we have to go!" Casady yelled. 

"I'm coming!" I yelled back. I grabbed my stuff and went downstairs.

"Hop in the car and I'll drive you to school," Casady said.

"Okay, are you sure? I can walk," I said.

"No. I'll drive you it's not a problem, really," Casady smiled.

"Okay," I peeped as I got in her powder blue car. Casady got into the driver seat, and drove to sunshine high, which was only a couple blocks away. When we got to the school Luke and I got out of the car and started to the front door of the school building when I bumped into someone. "I am so sorry I wasn't- D-David!" I yelled.

"Oh, look who came crawling back to me," David smirked.

"No, I would never go crawling back to you," I growled.

"Awe, Baby you know you love me," David snickered.

"No, not anymore I don't! You hurt me! Why would I go crawling back to you knowing that I'm just going to get hurt again!" I yelled.

"Babe, stop acting up and kiss me already," David said.

"Jenny, Hun, whats going on?" Luke asked.

"He's harassing me," I squeaked and ran behind Luke.

"Who are you?" David hissed.

"I'm Luke, Jenny's best friend, who are you?" Luke questioned.

"I'm David, Jenny's boyfriend! You stay away from her," David ordered.

"Luke, I swear on my life he is not my boyfriend! He use to be, but he cheated on me," I said tearing up.

"I believe you Jenny. Honestly how could you stoop so low?" Luke chuckled.

"Honestly, I don't know," I answered.

"I said stay away from her!" David snapped.

"No, I'm her best friend! Even if you were her boyfriend I still wouldn't stay away from her! She is too kind, sweet, and caring to be treated how you treat her!" Luke argued.

"Jenny, you can't hide behind him forever. I will get you back," David said then walked away.

"You can hide behind me for as long as you need. I will always be here for you," Luke hugged me.

"He will never leave me alone. Honestly, Luke, I'm scared," I whimpered as I hugged Luke back.

"Sh, it's okay I'm here. Let's go to class. You can sit by me in all our classes including lunch," Luke smiled making me feel better.

"Okay! Thanks for everything, you are the best friend anyone could ask for. I'm just glad that I was lucky enough to get you to be my friend," I smiled,"Even if you can be a casanova."

"Why wouldn't I be your friend, best friend at that? You are a very kind, sweet, caring, beautiful person. Anyone who wouldn't want to be your friend, or more, is blind. I promise whenever you need me I'll be there," he smiled, "As for being a casanova I'm only like that to annoy Casady, but I have my reasons for being like that around class."

"I'm not going to ask," I said. The bell rang signaling we only have four minutes to get to class.

"Let's get to class," Luke said and started pulling me to our first class.

That's how the rest of the day went. During lunch we went outside and ate our lunch at the picnic tables. After school I went to my locker and grabbed my book bag. After I grabbed my bag someone slammed my locker shut. "What?" I yelled.

"Do you have to go home today, Hun?" Luke asked.

"Yeah, Officer Andrew said so, Boo," I said.

"Can I walk you home then?" Luke questioned.

"Yeah, you can walk with me, but your not going to walk up to the door with me," I said sternly.

"Nope, you said I get to walk you home. That also means I get to walk you up to your door," Luke smirked.

"Fine I guess," I hesitated.

"Hey, it's okay Hun. I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you," Luke assured.

"Okay Boo. I trust you," I said.

"Let's go," Luke smiled and grabbed my hand.

Luke and I were hand in hand all the way to my house. When we got to my house Luke pinned me against the door frame. I had noticed my dads car in the driveway, and for some reason I wasn't planing on stopping him from whatever he was going to do.

 "Well it looks like I got you home safe and sound," Luke smirked devilishly.

"Yeah, I guess you did," I said smiling like a fool.

"Well do I get my good-bye kiss this time?" Luke asked.

"No, we are not together," I retorted.

"Please Jenny?" Luke begged.

"I'm not going to kiss you, but feel free to kiss me," I stated rolling my eyes.

"Okay," Luke said then placed his lips on mine. I was shocked he was actually kissing me. "He is just a casanova," I thought, "He doesn't really like me."

Just as I thought that the front door slammed open. Standing in the doorway was my father. He raised his hand as he was staring straight at Luke. As his hand came down I pushed Luke out of the way. My fathers hand cam into contact with my face. He didn't stop after one hit. He continued to hit, punch, and kick me. Luke had his phone out recording what was happening. This was exactly what I wanted.

Luke stopped the recording once he thought he had enough evidence to prove him guilty. "Leave her alone," Luke growled.

"What are you going to do if I don't?" my father sneered.

"I don't know yet, but I will figure it out," Luke hissed.

"Go home boy, and if I ever see you around my daughter again. The exact same thing will happen to you," my father threatened.

Little did I know I was also recording what they were saying. Luke went home. I stopped the recording and went to my room and my dad went to the bar.

After my dad had left I called Luke, but he didn't answer. I then tried to call Casady, and she answered. "Hey Casady! I need to talk to Luke, but don't tell him it is me," I said.

"Okay just a second," Casady said.

"Okay," I said.

"Luke! Someone is calling for you!" Casady yelled.

"Who it it?!" Luke yelled back.

"I don't know!" Casady yelled.

"H-Hello?" Luke asked.

"Luke, were you crying?" I asked.

"Yeah, who are you?" Luke asked.

"I'm the reason for your crying," I said.

"J-Jenny? It's not your fault," Luke said.

"Yes is is, anyway I need you to send me the video. I'll be over in two minuets. I need to talk to your dad," I said and hung up.

After I hung up I ran over to Luke's house. I knocked on the door, and Casady opened the door allowing me too enter the house. "Casady where is Haden?" I asked.

"He is in the kitchen getting ready for dinner," Casady answered.

"Okay, thank you," I smiled and went to the kitchen.

"Hey Haden," I said.

"Hey Jenny! What's up?" I said.

"Well you see here, my father might be going to jail in the next couple days, and I was wondering if I could maybe stay here until the police give me all his credit cards and stuff so I can pay rent for my house and get food. It would only be three or four days. If not that's fine I can find somewhere else to stay," I explained.

"Yeah! Of course you can stay here!" Haden replied.

"Okay! Thank you! Now I have to talk to Luke!" I said cheerfully. I walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs and knocked on Luke's door.

"Come in!" Luke yelled.

"Hey Luke?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Jenny!" Luke said as he ran up to me and hugged me.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Are you okay? You have a black eye from that monster!" Luke growled.

"Luke, I'm fine, I just want to know if you will go to the police station with me tomorrow after school. We can get him arrested now that we have proof," I explained.

"Yeah, but where would you stay?" Luke asked.

"Well I already asked Haden if I could stay here until I got all my dad's money," I replied.

"Okay! That's just more time I get to spend with you, Hun," Luke smirked.

"Whatever! I'll be spending time with Casady. Not you," I giggled.

"You don't have a choice," Luke said as he pinned me against the wall.

"Oh really? How don't I?" I asked.

"Because I claim you. For the entirety of your stay you can only spend time with me," Luke said in a British accent with a smirk plastered on his face.

"And if I don't?" I sassed.

"If you don't I will kiss you," Luke said.

"Ew Coodies!" I yelled. Just then Casady and Haden rushed into Lukes room. Casady started fangirling.

"Luke Zegron, get off her!" Haden yelled. Luke let go of me.

"Well, I must get home now. Have a nice night," I said and went home.

When I got home I went straight to my room and to bed.
