The Gun Stash
The team stood around a holo-screen as Nightwing droned on about the mission details for that night. Suddenly a figure dropped down and began to rifle through the leader's utility belt. The team members quickly dropped into a fighting stance around their leader and intruder.
"Are you done?" Nightwing asked as he looked down.
"No. Where did you leave my extra clips?" He said as he stopped searching to talk.
"I thought you left them with Roy," Robin said as he walked towards the two, relaxed.
"I used them,"
"Wait. Weren't you watching Robin?" Dick said with a touch of worry.
"He's here. Said something about getting something from Red's room," he waved his brother off as he continued to shuffle through Dick's belt.
"What did he get?" Nightwing looked at the team's Robin.
"I took his swords for trying to stab me in my sleep again," Tim grumbled.
"Wait why are there two Robins?" Beast Boy asked.
"What did you this time?" Red Hood asked in amusement.
"Oh! I know this one! Pink hair dye," Wally called. Artemis snickered.
"Better question. Why is there a crime lord casually rifling through our co-leader's utility belt in our base?" Connor spoke up, arms crossed with a scowl on his face.
"No the answer is to run, Red," Batgirl joked. Said bird moving as a throwing star landed where he was just standing.
"Come on Robin? You have to admit it was funny!" Tim called as he ran for his life, a trail of throwing stars landing behind him.
"This," Batgirl motioned to the trail that the two brothers had made, "Is why we don't allow assassins in the base."
"There's an assassin in here?!" Jaime said as he and the others looked around frantically in tensed battle stances.
"He's not an assassin, anymore," Nightwing growled making the others step back. "Robin!" a figure dropped from the ceiling in a kneel, "Both of you." Tim dropped down beside him. "Now you will get along or no patrol for a week for both of you."
"But Nightwing!" both exclaimed in protest.
"That's for all three of you. Now," he pulled out a satchel full of magazines of ammo and threw it to the eldest of the grumbling boys, "Next time you call and ask and not break into the mountain. Am I clear?" the boys nodded and the homicidal two of the three left through the Zeta Tubes.
"You never said the new Robin was the assassin heir, Nightwing," Artemis said as she motioned to the Tubes.
"You never asked," Nightwing shrugged. "Plus his heart is in the right place," he glanced at his now slightly bleeding brother, "most of the time."
