ꕥ 𝒟𝐸𝐼𝒯𝐼𝐸𝒮 ꕥ
The Gumtree Lake Clans worship StarClan like the canon cats do, but also have these cats named Empresses. All the Empresses are of course, female, and you might've noticed that there was a period of time where there were only male leaders allowed in FernClan. Of course, the Empresses didn't approve of that.
Back to the topic of what the Empresses are.
The Empresses are all pure white, glowing starry cats which always appear to be around the size of a large lion to the cats of StarClan and the living world. Of course, they aren't lions, they're just cats which are as big as lions.
The Three Clan Empresses were all born with pieces of the Clans' first leaders', deputies' and medicine cats' souls.
Empress Lotus was born with a piece of Fern/star's, Sparrowtail's and Irisfeather's soul. FernClan worships her, and she blesses them in return.
Empress Leaf was born with a piece of Gumtree's, Branchleap's and Holly's soul. GumClan worships her, and she blesses them in return.
Empress Night was born with a piece of Twinkle/Mousestar's, Nightjar's and Flowerstripe's soul. TwilightClan worships her, and she blesses them in return.
Now, there are two more Empresses. Those, are the Ancient Empresses, the ones who the cats believe created the world.
Empress Feather created StarClan, a place where cats can peacefully hunt after death.
Empress Claw created Eternity, a place where the bad cats go to get their eternal punishment of no prey, no sun and no life.
But with each other's help, Empress Feather and Empress Claw created resurrection.


ꕥ 𝒜𝐹𝒯𝐸𝑅𝐿𝐼𝐹𝐸 ꕥ
As you know, there's StarClan, where the good cats go, and Eternity, where the bad cats go. Now, when a cat is supposed to go to StarClan, they're given the choice to go and peacefully hunt in the afterlife, or get resurrected. If they choose to get resurrected, then they may either have the same looks or personality. However they will not remember their past life.


ꕥ 𝐻𝒪𝐿𝐼𝒟𝒜𝒴𝒮 ꕥ
On the first day of every season, cats from each Clan go to the lake and give offerings to the Empresses, and gifts to dead family members by throwing them in the lake, or letting it float away on the water.
The Festival happens on the day of the full moon. It is a day when the Clans gather at Twin Hills and trade, have contests an share news with each other. The Clans gather at Twin Hills at sunhigh and leave at moonhigh. Some contests include things like who will catch the most pieces of prey for the elders and queens, races, and sometimes medicine cat apprentices will get quizzed by the medicine cats to see who knows the most herbs. Cats often come up with new contest ideas and remove old boring ones.
