𓂀 𝐹𝒪𝑅𝑀𝒜𝒯𝐼𝒪𝒩 𓂀
No one remembers what she looked like, but a she-cat named Fern once lived in a Twolegplace. One day, her Twolegs kicked her out of their den. It was just the beginning of Wetleaf. She was cold, and was taken in by a group of alley cats. Some of the alley cats told her about these groups of cats named Clans, and all they needed was a cat to lead them. They offered her the task, and she accepted. Fern led them out of the Twolegplace, and cats joined them on their journey. During their long journey, the group got too much cats. So Fern proposed the idea of splitting the group into three Clans, giving each Clan a leader. When they arrived at a lake, the three Clans liked the place, and parted ways to claim territory.
Fern led her Clan to grassy fields, claiming most of the territory near the lake, but left some parts of the shore for the other two Clans. Soon the lake was named Gumtree Lake by the three Clans together.
After Fernstar died, and a cat named Sparrowtail took the name Sparrowstar, the Clan together decided on a name for their Clan. They all agreed on FernClan, to honor the cat that helped the strays fulfill their dream of becoming a Clan, and led their Clan through lots of land to reach the lake where they live.
Irisfeather, FernClan's first medicine cat, introduced the Clan to Garden Island, where they could grow herbs themselves so they would have easy access to them any time.
Finscale, Sparrowstar's deputy, gave the Clan an idea of hunting in water, giving them twice the amount of prey. He was the first cat to ever teach apprentices and kits how to swim.


𓂀 𝑅𝐼𝒱𝒜𝐿𝒮 𓂀
FernClan, in fact none of the three Clans, are rivals. They all live in peace together near the lake.


𓂀 𝐻𝐸𝑅𝒪𝐸𝒮 𝒜𝒩𝒟 𝒱𝐼𝐿𝐿𝒜𝐼𝒩𝒮 𓂀 +Shaping events
Leafstar, formerly known as Leaftail, has introduced FernClan to the 'Male leaders only' rule. That lasted for about three other male leaders until a medicine cat named Parsleyheart killed Patchstar, the last leader under the 'Male leaders only' rule, and let a she-cat named Sunfin take the leader's place. After that the Clan agreed to let the leaders only make deputies cats of the opposite gender that they are.
Seasons later, a cat named Eeltail took Twoleg rubbish to Gumtree Lake, and polluting it. He was severely punished, and two cats took him to a faraway place, where they tied him to a tree near a stream. The two cats had left using the stream, and when they were out of sight they went back to the territory, leaving as little scent as possibly for him to follow. No one knows what happened to him, but he likely either died (Possibly because of starvation unless he managed to catch things, maybe a predator killed him), was taken in by Twolegs, or escaped on his own. Maybe he joined a group of rogues that helped him.


𓂀 𝒩𝒜𝑀𝐼𝒩𝒢 𓂀
These cats can be named after anything that canon cats can (But not plants and animals that the cats probably haven't heard of (These cats are in Australia)). But the most prefixes and suffixes are water related, a type of animal that lives in a lake, and herbs and plants. (ie. Bass, cod, stream, ripple, wattle, flower)
