Prince Howon POV

She turned back to face me and said "If I wanted to kill you, I would have just let you die when I found you unconscious in my front yard."

"If I said I wanted to leave right now, would I be able to?"

"Of course!" she smiled. "Let me put this bowl away first. Then I can show you the way down the mountain, so you won't get lost."

"You won't try to stop me? You're not going to pull any tricks to keep me here? You'll really show me the way down the mountain?"

She giggled cutely "Are you really that scared?"

My heart was beating nervously. She certainly knew how to catch me off guard. If she really is a seductress, I don't think I would mind dying by her hand.

I hadn't realized that I had just been staring at her until she inched closer to me and began waving her hands in front of my face. "Are you okay?" she asked concerned. "Let me check your pulse again" she reached forward and grabbed my wrist to check my pulse. A confused look appeared on her face "It seems to be okay." She then placed her hand against my forehead. "No temperature."

As she was pausing to think what to do, I leaned forward and gave her a peck on the lips. Shocked by my sudden action, she fell backwards and landed on her bottom causing me to chuckle.

"That wasn't very funny" she blushed. "And they say that gumihos are the ones who seduce people" she huffed.

"Are you saying you find me attractive?" I teased. She turned her head away and blushed some more, so I leaned forward and whispered in her ear "Cause I certainly find you attractive." She turned to face me and our eyes locked.

Sohee POV

What is going on? Is this really happening?

He leaned forward a little more and kissed me again. Then my heart started to beat uncontrollably. "Ho...Ho...Howon..."

"Yes, Sohee" he smiled.

"Are... Are you...o...okay?"

"I've never felt better" he smiled more.

"O...Okay" I smiled nervously.

"You really are cute" he said. "I wish I could stay here forever" he sighed as he leaned back.

I was finally able to calm my beating heart and relax a bit. "I... I wouldn't mind..." I blushed "if you stayed."

He smiled sadly "If only I could. My family is probably looking for me right now."

"Right" I chuckled nervously.

"Still" he said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him, wrapping me in his arms. "I wish I could stay here with you forever."

The scent from his body made me relax against him and I instinctively and subconsciously wrapped my arms around his waist. What is happening to me?

We stayed like that for quite some time until he jokingly asked "Are you sure you aren't trying to seduce me to my death?"

I couldn't help but chuckle as I pulled myself away from him. "No, I'd never seduce you to your death!"

Prince Howon POV

Wow! I can't believe how sexy she looks right now!

I sighed and smiled "I was only joking."

"I know" she smiled and then leaned towards me once more. "The truth is..." she blushed "I've never felt like this. You just make me feel different. I can't explain it. I know I should send you back down the mountain, but... I don't want you to go."

Wow!  I quickly hugged her "I know what you mean."

"You do?"

"I feel exactly the same way."

"So, what do we do?"

I thought for a moment. I pulled away from her and looked her in the eyes "You've been taking care of me, right?"

"Well, yeah. I found you unconscious in front of my house."

Great!  "Then you know that I'm sick."

"Yes, I could tell. You've been sick for a long time."

"Can you cure me?" Please say yes!

She lowered her head "I can treat you and make you feel better, but I can't make the sickness go away."

"What do you mean?"

"Even if I treat you, your body will get used to the medicine and eventually the medicine will stop working."

"So, I can't be cured?"

"Not by me" she sighed.

"How long can I live if you treat me?"

"I don't know" she replied honestly. "Medicine affects everyone differently. I was actually surprised that the medicine worked so well on you. I expected you to be unconscious for a few days, but you woke up after only one dose."

Suddenly an idea popped into my head "Why don't I stay here for a little bit. That way you can see how well the medicine works on me."

"What about your family? I thought you said they would be looking for you?"

"I guess I should be honest with you." She cocked her head to the side in confusion. "The truth is, I didn't get lost in the mountain... Well I did get lost, but only after I followed that fox... Ahh!... This is so hard to explain!"

Sohee POV

He was so adorable that I couldn't help but giggle.

"Why don't we take it slow. Start at the beginning."

"I came to Busan to pray at the temple at the base of the mountain."

"That's not unusual. Many people come here for that. What happened next?"

"I noticed the fox at the entrance to the mountain path and was curious, but a monk stopped me and said it was dangerous because the foxes seduce people to their deaths."

"Guess that is why you were afraid when you found out I was a gumiho" I chuckled.

"I had been praying at the temple for about a week. Same routine. It was very boring. Guess I must have let down my guard, because, the next thing I know, an assassin was coming to attack me."

"Assassin? Why would they want to kill you?"

"Right" he chuckled as he avoided eye contact. "I kinda forgot to tell you that I'm actually the Crown Prince."

My eyes widened in shock "Oh! Okay! That would explain the assassin. Do you know who is trying to kill you?"

"I have my guesses, but no concrete evidence."

"I see" I nodded. "What happened after the assassin attacked?"

"I managed to doge the first attack and then ran. I didn't know where to go, but then I saw the mountain path. I remembered the monk saying it was dangerous, but the foxes I saw never seemed to want to hurt anyone, so I took a gamble and ran towards the mountain path."

"I always forgot that we station a guard there" I chuckled.
